Charming Bell Chalet, Hot Tub, Unbelievable Mountain, Lake Chatuge View!

Gorgeous views overlooking the lake and mountains. You are surrounded by beauty. We have stayed at many places like this BUT this one is exceptionally maintained. Kitchen has absolutely everything you need to make any meal you can think about cooking which is always nice. They provide firewood if you want to use the fire pit and the hot tub is the perfect size for a few people. We are always a bit skeptical of hot tubs but this one is well maintained and they provide testing strips to help maintain the water during your stay. This cabin has great porches and a huge seating area overlooking the scenery where you can roast marshmallows, grill out or sit by the fire. The local area is great especially if you can catch an event at the fair grounds. The lake is just at the bottom of the hill with boat ramps if you want to bring a boat. The marina is close and you can rent boats, or get a good meal with a little bit of flare. This cabin was great.

The view from the veranda was simply breathtaking. Husband & I spend most of our time on the deck, soaking it all in. The home was spacious and one if the best stocked VRBO properties we’ve ever visited. The hot tub and game room were big hits w our college age boys. Karen was very helpful and responsive.

The house keeping was excellent and Karen the property manager was available if I needed anything. We did not need anything but I had the peace of mind that if anything was needed Karen was just a phone call away. The kitchen was well stocked with enough pots, pans and bakeware, also there were enough plates and bowls. The bedrooms were very comfortable and well stocked with towels. The view of the mountains from from the kitchen/dining area and the family room are amazing. It was wonderful watching the transformation in the mornings and evening as the light played against the mountains. I definitely would go back to this house in the future if staying in Hiawassee. The road to the home is narrow but we met very few cars in our travels in and out of the cabin in the month we stayed there. It really was not a problem with the narrow roads leading to the home.

beautiful place, clean, and comfortable. had everything we needed for our stay. close to everything we wanted to do. there are some reviews that mention issues with the driveway up to the place, but they are a bit over exaggerated. the drive up the mountain is like any other, and wouldn't be an issue for most people. don't let those comments steer you away from this place.

The only thing we didnt like was leaving

The Bell Chalet is perfect with an outstanding view. Cozy and homy...you can feel the owners love on the property. It is perfectly located and secluded, with access to trails and full nature! My two advises would be bring your Ids and passwords for streaming TV and drive

This cabin was the definition of cozy! My husband and I enjoyed our stay here so much. We wanted to stay longer but unfortunately we couldn't. The hostess, Karen was so kind and helpful. This was our first time staying in a cabin and we loved it so much we want to make it an annual thing that we do. The town was also very lovely to tour around.

This cabin was awesome for a girls' trip! The last uphill was a bit steep, but as other reviews mentioned, keep your momentum up, go slow downhill, and you'll be fine. The views from the master, dining, and even the loft were amazing, especially with the sun in the morning and evening. It was very clean, well maintained, and comfortable.The hot tub was a major highlight for relaxing, and so was the rest of the cabin when we were reading our books. Internet and streaming apps like Netflix all worked perfectly. The gaming room was a cute bonus too; we totally played some Mrs. Pacman, which was super nostalgic and fun. Plus, Karen was super quick, kind, and polite with her communication. I'd totally recommend staying here!

This place is great! We didn’t have an issues at all but the host is available and easy to reach, if needed! The house overlooks the lake and the fire pit and hot tub add to the experience. Lots of things to see, places to hike and delicious restaurants close by.

Amazing view and the owner was very easy to get a hold of. We had an issue in which the road access was compromised due to re-paving and the owner helped us get refunded and provided recommendations for nearby hotels.

Decorated perfectly, the whole house felt like a real home. THE VIEW was amazing. The kitchen space was designed to host a family for sure it was so nice to be included while cooking. The glass porch siding was my absolute favorite!! I didn’t think the drive up wasn’t too bad, keep the momentum and stay aware. If needed roll down windows to hear oncoming traffic. Really once you pass the turn for Bell Mountain you aren’t likely to encounter anyone. Make sure to explore downtown Hiwassee and Downtown Helen! The house has a book that gives great details on where to explore while there. I’m already trying to figure out how we can get our whole family down there in the future, that’s how great this house was! Thank you Karen for your communication skills, you truly made our trip even better. The coffee bar, endless board games, and fireplace as well as fire pit really set this place apart from any other we have stayed! We really appreciate a fully stocked kitchen as we love to cook also, so thanks for that as well!

For senior citizens, a grab bar in the bathrooms ( toilet)would be very helpful.

The best view! Very clean and well-equipped.Karen and Vince are very accessible. Have been staying at their properties for years. Definitely pet friendly, just be prepared for a steep driveway.

The house was beautiful the view amazing. Only thing I would improve is bed In master made terrible noise when getting in and out.

The view was outstanding. The cleanliness was perfect. The facilities were great along withe amenities. Being up in the mountain, location could be a challenge, but the owner gave very precise directions.

This home is breathtaking! The views are incredible, the bed was super comfortable, and the location was ideal! The driveway to the house is a little tricky but fun and totally doable :) The hot tub was wonderful at the end of the day. It's what I'd expect for a house on a mountain! The host was super easy to contact and kept us very informed along the way. We would definitely recommend and stay again!

My husband & I along with our daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandchildren enjoyed a wonder few days in this amazing home. You could enjoy the views from every room in the house. Kitchen was very well equipped, we made all our meals while there. Where could you dine with a better view? The lower level had a ping pong table and arcade games. One day we rented a pontoon boat from Boundary Waters Marina, perfect for enjoying a day on beautiful Lake ChatugeHighly recommend this home.

We hade a fabulous stay! The property is more gorgeous than the pictures. The drive is a little daunting, but worth it. And so close to downtown Hiawasee!Unfortunately, the hot tub took more than a day to heat up, so we weren’t able to enjoy it our first night there. The host was quick to respond and very communicative!

Looking out the each day a Brasstown Ball and the lake in the foreground was amazing. The house was very spacious with separate areas for privacy. The porch was great place in the morning and evening.

Love this cabin they was some much room. And the view was beautiful the cabin is just mins from everything in town. The owners are so nice and helpful. Will stay with them again.

Beautiful location on the side of the mountain. The views are spectacular and the house was perfect. Flame azaleas were blooming on site and the huge Japanese maple was magnificent. Highly recommended.

This cabin was incredible! The views of Brasstown Bald and the lake were stunning, and the warmth of the home made it so cozy. We loved the many windows, the relaxing hot tub, and the multiple porches for enjoying the scenery. Perfect mountain retreat — we can’t wait to come back!

The view is just breath taking. This cabin was a perfect place to get away and we could not Get past the view from every room. We decided to cook every meal just to be able to look out and see mountains, the lake and the town right from the dining room table. Fully stocked kitchen and everything you would have at your own was available. The host Karen and Vince were amazing and so helpful with all our questions.
