A great cabin for a couple or a couple with young kids. Amazing views from the deck and hot tub! Nice kitchen, bedroom, etc. We cooked both nights we stayed there and it was fantastic. Watched the storms blow in from the deck and had an amazing trip. 4 Wheel drive is recommended and the hill is STEEP.
It was a great little cabin. The master bedroom mattress is super uncomfortable but other than that it was great and the wildlife was right at our front door
I never received any check in instructions. Where I called the office they insisted that I “should” have received an email already which solved nothing. After calling again they continued telling me I should have an email. At this point I was already on the front porch. I finally convinced her to just tell me the code. Then the code didn’t work I had to call again for a different code. It was just frustrating after driving all that way to just sit outside unable to get in them rental. The air conditioning barely pushed anything out and was a complete failure. I just opened the windows to try and stay cool. Since most places like this insist on having their guest wash the dishes, all the dishes needed to be washed before using. You can’t emphasize enough on how ridiculous the drive is. Every car that passed by was spinning tires and kicking up rocks and dirt. The drive way could easily be paved. The sewage smell in the cabin my have actually been the smell of the water, either way not a fan. Takes time to get used to. I won’t stay with these places again but you’re welcome to try
They are not kidding when they say 4-wheel drive is recommended all times of year. Cabin is smaller than we anticipated - would be really tight for more than two people. Only real issue was we never had access to internet despite numerous calls to management. They insisted we put the password in wrong but you would think after 100 attempts we would have accidently got it right once. That part was VERY frustrating. It was a very quiet community.
Our family had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the Charlie cabin! The views were beautiful, the porch was a perfect spot to have lunch and look out at the mountains, and it was a short drive to town. Easy checkin and checkout, with everything you needed in the cabin. As the cabin listing states, we can confirm you will for sure need 4WD up to the cabins in snow or mud when you turn off the main road. We did and were totally fine but noticed others with only front wheel drive having to park down the mountain to walk up and down to their cabin. Lots of beautiful wildlife in this area, even wild horses! It was a great spot to get away with the family. Can’t wait to come back!
Best part was relaxing in the bath tub.
Nice little cabin conveniently located in between ski apache mountain and Ruidoso Winter Park tubing park. Our cabin was equipped with all the essentials for cooking and sleeping including plenty of extra heaters for cold weather. Beds were very comfortable, two main had memory foam mattresses I belive. The only thing could use an upgrade is the outside bbq gas grill which worked for us but is at it's last breath. We would definitely come back to this cozy and extremely well insulated cabin.
Really enjoyed my visit
This is a great little cabin for a couple or small family for a weekend getaway. Highly recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay. Cabin was impeccably clean, well furnished and we loved the hot tub. Note the information they provide on the road up to the cabin is real. 4x4 highly recommended if any kind of weather.
The cabin was very clean and relaxing.
