A Serene Escape with a Breathtaking View Our stay at the Cabin with a Volcano Vista in Homer, AK was an absolute pleasure. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the peaceful atmosphere and the stunning panoramic view—truly beyond words. The cabin was spotless, quiet, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay: strong WiFi, bottled water, fresh coffee, a smart TV, and even board games for cozy evenings in.One of our favorite surprises was the pair of sandhill cranes who occasionally visited the property—we named them Fred and Wilma, and they added a touch of magic to our mornings. In the evenings, we sipped wine on the balcony while watching the sun melt into the horizon, a moment of pure serenity.We had a blast playing Uno and Catchphrase, and appreciated the thoughtful touch of binoculars, which let us get a closer look at the ocean and the majestic volcanoes in the distance. Sadly, no orca sightings this time—but the experience was unforgettable nonetheless.Peggy was a phenomenal host—responsive, kind, and attentive to every detail. Her hospitality made the experience even more memorable. Whether you’re looking for a tranquil retreat or a scenic base for exploring Homer, this cabin is a gem. We’ll definitely be recommending it to friends and hope to return again soon.

This cabin was perfect! Peaceful, amazing views and great location.

The home was perfect for the 4 of us. 2 couples great beds and linens. Lots of extras in the kitchen and bathroom bonus we were able to wash clothes too. Plenty of dishes seating and extra blankets. Sitting out on the deck in the early mornings with coffee and the VIEW was AMAZING! Evenings were also spent on the deck we were blessed with warm weather while we were here.

We could not have been more pleased with this property. The home was very clean and had everything that we needed to have an enjoyable stay. The View from this property is incredible. The sunsets were breathtaking to say the least. Every night that we were out next to the Fire Pit the two Sand Hill Crans would come to say hello. The house is very well kept and was very comfortable for the four of us. We enjoyed the property so much that we will be looking to use it again in the near future. The owners were very good about communicating with us throughout the stay and made sure that we had everything that we needed to have a great time. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the Homer area. Thank you, Peggy, for everything.

Once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at this clean and comfortable cabin. What a gem! It’s equipped with everything needed for a long or short visit, including games, bug spray, and ALL the amenities of home. The view is unbelievably beautiful each and every time we stay. The owners are helpful, kind, and very responsive.

A beautiful property in a quiet setting overlooking Kachemak Bay, close to Homer. Panoramic views of Kachemak bay and Volcanoes. Daily Sandhill crane visitors. Very clean, modern, and comfortable for a family of 4. Great communication and flexibility from owner. I hope to stay here again next time we come to Homer.

Our third stay at the cabin did not disappoint. Everything was just as we remembered it—clean, comfortable, and inviting. We had everything we needed for our week-long stay, plus daily visits from Sandhill Cranes. The views from the cabin are completely mesmerizing! We hope to return again and again.
