We were very impressed by the view looking from the kitchen or deck outside. The size and accommodations were perfect for us for a weekend peaceful getaway. We bought some groceries to cook our own food and it had everything we needed. From a coffee Kuerig to Dishes,Pots and Pans utensils down to a cutting board. Best part always warm to hot water for a shower. Working heater and Fireplace for those cold nights. We have no complaints of any. We will definitely come back again. Thank you
The cabin was in a great and quiet location. The view was excellent. Everything else was not: 1) Getting supplies and luggage down to the cabin was very difficult especially for older folks; 2) the outside deck table and chairs dirty and lacking an umbrella for the bright sun; 2) The stairs getting up to the bedroom again not for older people to use in the middle of the night; 3) One dish clothe; and no wash towels in the bathroom provided. 4) I prefer a regular coffee maker and there was not one; and windows upstairs in the HOT bedroom did not open. Other than the view and quiet location I would not stay again.
This was such a cozy cabin experience. One of the times that make you sad to leave but we plan on booking again. Thank you!
The view from the deck was gorgeous and it was a short drive to the town of big bear which had stores and lots of activities. One day we explored big bear and the other day we relaxed on the back deck all day. Communication with the host was super easy and convenient, as well as the check in process. Do recommend!!
We stayed 10 days in early September when the weather was very mild. Enjoyed every day we’ve spend in the cabin and lake!
This is a very pleasant and comfortable little cabin. Clean, well-stocked, beautiful views. I really enjoyed the mountain-themed decor.... lots of wood everywhere. Pros: - nicely furnished, inside and out... patio had a picnic table, chairs, and a padded lounge. Living room had 2 large, comfy recliners in addition to the couch. - quiet neighborhood, and I do mean quiet... blissful silence the whole time. - kitchen looked fully stocked... I spent most days at my daughter's, so I didn't use it - cozy layout, but open... plenty of room for two - motion detector lights outside were a godsend when I came home in the evening without having left the porch light on - the stars were gorgeous at this elevation... wish I'd made time to bundle up on the deck and enjoy them Cons: - this property is accessible only to those without mobility issues. The front door is accessed by a short staircase down from the street, then a curved gravel path descending to the small porch. No problem for me, but I'm relatively sure-footed. Those with canes or walkers or who need smooth ground would have difficulty. - the front deadbolt was a little tricky... by the 3rd time leaving the cabin, I finally remembered to pull the doorknob up to seat it correctly. Overall, I was very pleased and would definitely stay here again!
We had a great time. Property is well kept and very clean. My wife was concerned about the occasional ant isolated to the kitchen, which is a major problem in all of Big Bear therefore, I think we just had to keep the counters clear and clean.
Property was mostly as listed. Proximity to the lake and activities very helpful, and the interior was sufficient for our needs. However, the place is very dark (especially the bathroom) and in need of updating. Be aware, there is NO A/C. The deck was decent but strangely had various items like a bathtub next to a picnic table that really took away from the vibe. The walkway from the parking spot to the cabin really needs some work. It is getting overgrown and actually a bit dangerous for many. IMO they need to put in concrete steps. All in all, it was satisfactory, and a decent value for the money, but needs some work. I will be choosing a different place if coming to Big Bear again.
Great Cabin.
Had an amazing stay at this cabin. Everything was clean and well equipped. We really appreciated the bed added to the living room to accommodate my Mother who was traveling with us. We had trouble getting wifi but found the codes on the box the last day. Our only suggestions would be wifi name and password provided more conveniently and the walkway to the cabin is a bit difficult with suitcases, ice chest, and 81-year-old Mother. Perhaps widening the trail would be helpful. Overall very pleased with our stay!
