We had a wonderfully relaxing week at this cabin. It's rustic and has some years on it, and we shared it with lady bugs which was no bother. It was quite clean. However, we chose not to use the dresser in the downstairs bedroom because it seemed musty. The mattress in that room is quite firm. The host usually responds within 24 hours or less, although a few of my requests for info were delayed in reaching her. From a main road with well marked lines it's about 4 miles to the cabin including a windy section without any lines on the road, another very narrow windy section that is hard packed but not paved and a section that's open field-like and also not paved. We managed fine without a truck or lg SUV by going very slow, and thank goodness we never encountered a vehicle coming the other way. There is a herd of at least a dozen deer we enjoyed watching every day. The catch and release pond was very nice, also. There is a path to it that starts a bit to the left of the carport. We found it after hiking through the native area around the pond. There was a goodie basket with snacks and treats and pkgs of ground coffee. These were unexpected surprises. We didn't see a lg grocery store in the week we were there which may make the goodie basket even more appreciated. Side-note: the coffee maker does not have an automatic turn off feature.
