Stayed Feb 16, 2025We booked this cabin for a ski trip to White Pass. The three levels gave us plenty of room for our family of 5 to spread out. The kitchen was nicely equipped for cooking meals and the beds were all comfortable. The cabin was conveniently located about 25 min from the mountain and a 3 min drive to the grocery store. We all enjoyed time in the hot tub as well. It was too cold to use the grill/deck or firepit, but I imagine those would be nice amenities in other seasons. Liz and Jordan were good about replying to all messages within a reasonable amount of time.

Stayed Jan 22, 2026This property is one of those that does everything right. All the normal stuff was there, but the real magic manifested itself every time I needed something, as it seemed to magically appear in front of my face. The host is also clearly a high performer who does it right. This place is as perfect of a Packwood cabin retreat as it's possible to be. Will definitely be staying again.

Stayed Oct 10, 2025This beautiful, quiet cabin has a view of snowy Mount Rainier right from the living room window, which is spectacular in the mornings and evenings with magical golden hour side light! My friend very much enjoyed the hot tub each day. I enjoyed hanging out on the back deck and gazing into the woods. Birdwatchers may appreciate this spot too - watch for Steller's Jays, Juncos, Thrushes and American Crows, at least this time of year. My friend and I each had a whole floor to ourselves and slept so comfortably in the beds. The kitchen had everything we needed.

Stayed Sep 17, 2025We loved staying at the Cabin Retreat in the Woods! It was very clean and stocked with anything we could need. If we are ever in the area again, this would be our first pick for a place to stay.

Stayed Jul 29, 2025Checking in and out were very easy with good instructions and good directions to find the property. We did have to clean off the deck before we could used it but recognize it's outside. The upstairs bathroom pocket door got slid all the way into the wall and was hard to pull out so it could be closed. Maybe check to see if there is a way to keep it from going in so far. Otherwise, everything was very clean and well equipped.

Stayed Aug 7, 2025The cabin was perfect in almost every way - a lot of room, plenty of amenities and lots of wonderful nice little touches. The hosts went to great care to make us feel at home. We stayed in four places over an 8-day visit to the Pacific Northwest and this was our favorite by far! If you're visiting Mount Rainier National Park, you have easy, quick access and the town of Packwood offers groceries and multiple food options. Packwood Brewing was a highlight in town!

Stayed Jun 25, 2025Such a fantastic property!!! Very accommodating cabin inside and out. Exceptionally clean. Our two daughters enjoyed the downstairs bed. We enjoyed the very comfortable living quarters on the third floor. The kitchen was well equipped. The patios were delightful. The location of this cabin could not have been better. 4-5 minutes to Packwood. Mt Ranier hiking only 30 minutes away. Would 100% recommend!

Stayed Jan 2, 2025Nice location, warm and cozy interior. The grill was listed as part of the rental and there was no mention that it might not be usable during the colder months(we are very much grill master regardless of the time of year). The grill was gross and dirty, looked like mold was growing in it. Attempted to clean it with the grill wipes and cleaning brush found under the sink. Gave up and just used the burners, bummer but otherwise a nice stay with lot is sleeping area for larger groups.

Stayed Sep 27, 2024This facility was in a quiet, wooded, peaceful setting just outside of downtown Packwood. The Baby Bear cabin seemed to be in spotless condition. The interior decor features lots of wood, which we loved. The advance and onsite communication and instructions from the owners was clear and helpful. We loved our stay! I suppose the only negative was that the king bed on the upper level was pretty squishy/hammocky and not very comfortable for two senior citizens. That being said, I highly recommend this facility!

Stayed Sep 20, 2024First the care preparing this cabin for vacationers should be a model for anyone who rents their space. Everything we could need clearly laid out, clear instrucs, absolutely immaculate, any concern points you may have described in listing. Communication when I failed to understand entry info was instantaneous. The hot tub was wonderful after a day enjoying area - went to Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens (latter a little longer jaunt). The only complaint I had was the owners only scheduled the elk to roam the front yard one morning, we'd like to have seen them every morning!!!! One of our very favorite rentals ever.

Stayed Sep 10, 2024Like Mt. Rainier, pictures don’t do this cabin justice. This place is even better in person. My parents (in their 70s) and I really enjoyed our 2 nights there. Loved all the modern top-quality upgrades. We also enjoyed being in Packwood! Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a beautiful home/cabin in the area.

Stayed Sep 6, 2024Great option when one needs several different sleeping areas although only king has separate bedroom door. Other sleeping area are more open (yet private), including the queens being in different areas downstairs. Kitchen is small, but decks are lovely, game cabinet is amazing, TV and gaming set (we did not use) are options. Hot tub and outside campfire area are huge pluses. Easy to fine from Packwood and so close! Steps up (or down) to front door and to all sleeping areas. Kitchen also had plenty of basic cooking/baking pantry items.

Stayed Aug 21, 2024Very comfortable home for two couples. It was a little odd that the bathroom on the main floor, with no bedrooms, had a tub/shower, but the one downstairs, where there are two bedrooms, didn't have a tub OR shower. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Stayed Aug 16, 2024My family and I enjoyed a 2 night stay in this well kept, and well located cabin. Perfect size for our family of 4, the queen beds downstairs were in their own alcove which provided some wanted privacy for our teens. Upper deck was a tranquil refuge and shaded from afternoon heat. We'd stay here again.

Stayed Aug 9, 2024We enjoyed our stay so much. The cabin was beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and beds comfortable. The setting was lovely - we enjoyed our meals on the deck amongst the trees. The location was ideal, near Mt. Rainier and the small town of Packwood. I would love to stay again. I highly recommend this property.

Stayed Jul 27, 2024This cabin was fantastic! It was super clean and gave us all the space we needed. We used this cabin for a family trip to Mt. Rainer with our two teenage children. Having the master bedroom upstairs and the two separate sleeping spaces downstairs was perfect! The hot tub was amazing and we even saw elk from the back balcony. The cabin is tucked away down a quiet street but only minutes away from town where there is a grocery store and a couple of restaurants.
