Packwood, Washington
Welcome to Baby Bear Cabin. Newly constructed, cozy cabin with 50-jet hot tub under the stars. Cabin is situated down a quiet, well maintained dirt road in the forest near Mt. Rainier National Park and White Pass Ski Resort. One-half mile to Packwood's downtown restaurants and shops. Perfect for a small family or romantic getaway.
The cabin has been constructed with wood accents throughout to give it a rustic appeal. There are three separate sleeping areas and a bathroom on all three floors. There is a washer & dryer on the lower level.
When you are outside, you can hear Hall Creek flowing back in the woods which really does give you a sense of "being away from it all". Enjoy grilling on the propane bbq & eating dinner in the fresh air at the outdoor dining table - both on the back deck.
On clear days we have a beautiful view of Mount Rainier out the living room window and in the evening we have a wonderful 50-jet hot tub waiting for you to relax away in while you gaze at the stars. Enjoy sitting around the campfire roasting s'mores.

It’s a nice cabin. Stayed there for a work trip. It’s a clean, well lit place.
We enjoyed our stay and we would definitely stay there again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The ambience is perfectly done and anything you could need or want is provided for you. Communication with Liz was outstanding the entire time. We will definitely be sharing this gem with our family/friends here in WA.
We had a wonderful stay! The seemingly endless forest out back was fun for the kids to trounce around in, building a fire and having s'mores was a first for them as well. The hot tub was perfect! Inside the home was immaculate, all updated and fully furnished. The best part, everything in the kitchen was labeled!!! So it wasn't hard to find what we needed to cook with etc. All the kitchenware was in great condition which was a first for me. If you're looking for a quiet getaway this is the one! Will visit again!!
We had a fantastic time at Baby Bear cabin. There was loads of room for our family of four, the cabin is lovely and the hot tub is great after a long day of walking. The main drag in Packwood is a 10 minute walk or so - Packwood Brewing Co is a fun and family friendly bar with live music outside and fine views. It was also lovely to wake up in the morning to a view of Mt Rainier from our bedroom window. Liz was very helpful, quick to respond to messages and left a lovely welcome pack. We would definitely recommend a stay here and would love to return some day.
The home had everything we needed. The decor and extra amenities were awesome. We really enjoyed being able to relax on the deck, around a fire, and in the hot tub. Incredible to see Rainier out the living room window. The upstairs shower and bathroom in general are small. However, I'm 6'7 and still made it work. You do have to navigate some stairs to get to beds which was not an issue for us. We loved the place, just letting those out there know in case it would be an issue for them. The location from town is great and is an easy walk if wanted. Beware part of the town shuts down pretty early. Last call at the brewery on Thursday night was 8:30. Liquor store closed at 7 on a Friday night. Note: the Thai food truck in town puts out a Closed sign when they get busy. They take it down after they get caught up. To be expected grocery store prices were very expensive. We stayed at the place as a home-base for visiting Rainier National Park and went river rafting (River Drifters) on the White Salmon river. We spent a lot of time getting to places but it was worth it. Be warned NF-23 from Randle to Trout Lake is a rough drive. The raft trip was great, the drive there not so much. Regardless of what you do. This home will serve as a wonderful retreat for you. We would definitely stay at the place again!
Baby Bear cabin was a standout in our series of lodging throughout our two weeks in WA. I wish we could have stayed longer! Clean, cozy, all the amenities we needed and lots of extra little touches to make it a perfect stay. Great location to explore the park. Highly recommend!
We stayed for two nights and got to see a herd of elk wander through the yard and were fortunate to have perfect clear views of Mt. Ranier. It was nice and cool inside and the kitchen was well stocked for all the cooking and grilling we did. Grocery store and gas a mile away was convenient for our trek through the national park. Hosts were responsive almost immediately to our request to checkin a little early. The beds were comfortable and the phone chargers placed everywhere in the house were great. We'll definitely stay here again if we get back to the area.
Lovely, well-appointed cabin home in the woods conveniently located near the town of Packwood. Very clean, attractive and comfortable home with all the details taken care of. Just a 4-minute drive to grocery, restaurants, darling coffee shop, and great brewery. Fabulous hot tub and nice back deck in a beautiful quiet setting. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time, the property is fantastic.
Girls weekend away , short notice planned and had a last min gal not join us due to baby pregnancy complications. We drove up and enjoyed the beautiful drive. When we arrived check in was remote and Great for us! We loved the layout and bed options . We felt extremely Grateful to walk in and be welcomed by a Welcome Greeting Hand Written Card and coffee stand options gift! Very generous! S’mores goodies were supplied! We lost power due to storm our 1st night. They responded quick even after the fact it was extremely late at night. They checked in on us in the am and we had power back on and really enjoyed the recommendation for food! We are already planning our trip with our kiddos! Thank you for having us in your cozy beautiful rental!
