Great place. Kids loved it. Hiked up the road a bit from the house to a couple of caverns and up the hill above them. Went to the gorge underground. Was a really nice stay. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. It’s a great location.

The cabin was quaint and charming at first glance, but upon closer look revealed a poorly maintained property. Gaps in the wood paneling with dust and grime showing left us realizing it was only surface clean. Another very frustrating part of the rental was that there were strict instructions for everything. The cabin HVAC was not allowed to be touched, even though the attic space was too warm all night. The hot tub was available to use, but the temperature was not to be adjusted below 102 which is too hot for us. Thus we didn't use it. The smell of the cabin, which we attributed to the aforementioned dust and grime, was an issue for our son who has asthma issues and resulted in breathing issues when sleeping and was instantly resolved when we left the cabin. This cabin is also said to be dog friendly but there were unrealistic expectations, such as no hair on area rugs which how that's possible is beyond me and that seems to be an issue since the bathroom rug had other dogs hair stuck to it on our arrival. Another major point that is not mentioned in the listing is that the cabin does not have potable water. In previous customer reviews there were mentions of the cabin being on well water, which would not have been an issue, but were surprised to see water not potable signs at every faucet upon arrival. The cabin has a cleaning fee charge but then we are expected to drive out the trash to the main office, sweep up the dog hair, start the towel laundry, then asked to tip

Loved the place very nice !! Enjoyed the secludedness .. kids where able to be kids !! The only complaint I have, The drive way was horrible for my car .The huge potholes and dredges did not do any favors !! Would highly recommend a 4wheel drive vehicle ! And having to bring the trash 4 miles down the road was a bit of a bummer !! But I would definitely stay again!!

Very cute place! Perfect for a small group. The biggest thing to prepare for is the driveway as it’s a little tough if you don’t have 4-wheel drive. Also be aware you’re completely in the woods so there might be some insects found inside.

This property was gorgeous...it's what we dream of having some day! It was clean, well stocked with linens, bathroom supplies, and dishes. We didn't even care that the water wasn't potable. We just took our own. We had a last-minute change of plans causing us to possibly need to take our one dog. The manager was very understanding and allowed us to pay the pet fee upon arrival in case we didn't bring the dog.The manager's communication throughout the entire time was prompt and helpful! We will be back!!

This property met all our needs for our family of 4. We had a couple hiccups, the master bed sags in the middle and is way too soft so both my husband and I had a hard time sleeping and woke up sore. Especially in a place where the draw is long physical days of hiking, a nice, firm bed would have been appreciated. There were some ants in the loft ceiling, but when we called they were quick to get out there and take care of the issue. I did not see in the listing that there is a washer/dryer so that was a nice surprise to have access to for the week. Overall, we had an excellent time and hiked every day and saw some of the most beautiful scenery one can imagine. Our favorites were Copperas Falls, Rock Bridge / Creation Falls & we did the loop to Gray’s Arch from Pinch em tight, Rush Ridge, & Rough Trail. If you have time I really liked Boone Hut Trail too! All were very doable with our dog and daughters (8 & 11).

This home was perfect for our stay! I gave a 4 star on cleanliness only because the hot tub wasnt the cleanest, but it wasnt terrible either. They arent kidding about the drive being beat with 4WD or AWD! We would absolutely stay again!

Excellent cabin in the woods. Location was fun, that drive up the road to the final hill to the cabin, loved it! (As others have said, it's steep and bumpy, but good to let the SUV do SUV things). Inside was nicely appointed, beds comfortable, and bathroom/shower nice. It was cool outside, in the 40's, so the gas heaters were nice to have, both in the bathroom and in the living room. We didn't use the stove/microwave at all, lots of nice places to eat around the area. Bring your drinking water, as the well water isn't potable. Hot tub was nice too. Overall, a great place! Also, make sure you check out the cabin's management company for savings (wink!).

The only issue was with the fire pit. It had not been cleaned out at all and all of the old ash was just so hard packed in there we were not able to have a fire and we bought all the firewood and couldn't even have a fire.

Cabin is nice and very clean but definitely no low riding vehicles. Driveway is quite tricky. Although it is all secluded i was hoping for a little more seclusion for our cabin than there is. But altogether it was a great stay, nice cabin, and relaxing place to be.

Beautiful scenery with mountains just outside your door. Lovely cabin with covered hot tub. Food and activites within just a few miles. Couldn't have asked for better location and accommodations.

We wanted to spend Halloween watching horror movies in a cabin in the woods, and that's exactly what we got. As an added bonus it's very close to many great hiking spots and the hot tub is on its own cool little deck with a beautiful view of the fall leaves.

The pictures do not lie, you do feel quite tucked away in this little rental. You can barely see it hear the neighbors beside you with minimal traffic on the road. It is a little challenging to access since it is quite steep weven with a crossover style vehicle. Outside of that, the cabin is designed well for a cozy

My teen daughter and I have gone on many road trips staying in cabins and this was one of our favorites! We love the Red River Gorge and this was a perfect place to stay and enjoy the area. Great hiking and eating nearby, including good restaurants with vegetarian options. The cabin was clean and comfortable and the hot tub was awesome after hiking. We had a great time.
