Hendersonville, North Carolina
Property Location: The cabin is out in the country between historic Hendersonville and the Bat Cave/Chimney Rock/Lake Lure area, SouthEast of Asheville amidst the many hiking areas of Hickory Nut Gorge. The 20-acre property is located at the foot of Bearwallow Mountain. The property is partially wooded with a private hiking trail through the woods, a pond, and a picnic shed next to the pond with a fire pit. Fishing is available both in our pond and at Clear Creek – state trout waters that adjoin our property.
Weather in Summer: Our summer weather pattern has kicked in! Warm days (70's and 80's), then just when it gets a little too warm and humid, wham! Thunder, lightning, downpour! Usually just minutes long. Temperature drops several degrees, perfect for an evening hot tub soak. Night temperatures in the 60's. Come enjoy the mountains in summertime.
Cabin Location: The Cabin in the Meadow at Clear Creek Cabins is one of four cabins, situated and landscaped for privacy, scattered about our 20 acre property. It is the easiest to get to, just a few dozen feet from the public country road, and within walking distance to our pond. You will see evergreen trees surrounding the yard and, especially in winter, and the wooded hills beyond. Depending on recent rainfall, you may hear Clear Creek, which is accessible further down across the public road.
Cabin Features: The covered porch features rocking chairs, a hot tub, and an outdoor dining table. The cabin has a gas log fireplace, air conditioning, smart TV with DVD player, wifi, microwave, toaster, blender and coffee-maker. Linens, dishes, and kitchen utensils are provided. The cabin has a gas BBQ grill. The cabin is well prepared for the rare power outage, with a gas log fireplace for heat and a gas stove for cooking. There is a fire pit near the pond.
Area Activities: While many guests simply relax on the property for their entire stay, there is much to do in the area – hiking Chimney Rock Park, a boat tour of Lake Lure, a visit to Historic Hendersonville, dining at the many great area restaurants just a short drive away, visiting the many surrounding state and national parks and forests (Dupont, Pisgah, the Blue Ridge Parkway), and of course visiting the famous Biltmore Estate. Horseback riding is available in the area, as are visits to numerous wineries, and breweries, plus a cidery and meadery, many of which have live music and food trucks. Hiking locations are abundant. Spring and fall driving tours of our apple growing country side are available with many fruit stands to select from.
Seasons: The property is beautiful in all seasons: spring flowering trees, summer foliage, fall colors, and in the winter the possibly of snow. Winter, when the leaves are off the trees, can be especially interesting due to the additional views that appear through the bare trees.

My experience was the best that ive had in a long time. I highly recommend this property and felt like i was treated with great care.
Couldn't ask for a more peaceful stay. The property manager/owner was great to work with.
Exactly as described in the listing, a peaceful rural property. Kaye was a very responsive host, and the cabin was super clean and stocked with everything I needed. I loved the rocking chairs on the front porch and walking to the nearby pond to sit for a while and enjoy the quiet. I will definitely recommend these cabins to family and friends!

A pretty little cabin that was clean and well maintained. Ms Kaye even had many little extras to add to the experience (robes, disposable slippers, kitchen and cooking supplies). So peaceful! We enjoyed listening to the birds chirping and doing absolutely nothing. While there was a TV, we didn’t watch it and didn’t miss it. Would love to return some day! Highly recommend this little Cabin In The Meadiw!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Cabin in the Meadows. As a first time trip together, this stay was more than we could have expected. The area and the cabin were a breathe of fresh air, not to mention the hot tub. We would definitely stay again.
Great value experience.
Kaye is the best host we have had hands down in the 3 years we have been renting cabins. She was easily accessible. The attention to detail she paid to ensure our cabin had everything we needed was remarkable. Great cabin and location. We didn’t want to leave!
Property as advertised. Clean house, courteous host.
Lovely one bedroom wood cottage in apple country NC. Comfortable queen size bed, kitchen with range/microwave fridge supplied with all necessary amenities. Rock on covered porch and watch hummingbirds! Dip in private hot tub and hit all the local places including Chimney Rock, Bat Cave and Hendersonville for local art scene. We will be back!
Very cozy and quite. Loved the hot tub, help you relax after a busy life style. We will return.
Kaye was very informative and the place was quiet, clean, comfortable, and perfect for our much needed getaway. The location was perfect for access to either Asheville or Hendersonville. And the hot tub was amazing!!
The experience was perfect, exceeded expectations!! We were notified well ahead of time of a malfunction with the oven which allowed us to prepare accordingly, not a problem at all. Loved the hot tub!! Overall, very accommodating...wish we could have stayed longer. A short drive to Chimney Rock, Hendersonville, Asheville, etc. Lot's of fine dining and other activities in and around the area. Would highly recommend to any one looking for a somewhat secluded getaway. Would definetly book a stay there again!!
Kaye was always available to answer any questions. The location was perfect and is a quick drive into Hendersonville. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay.
We have stayed at the same cabin around 15 years ago. It is a great weekend getaway for my bride and me. We enjoyed our stay very much. We would recommend this vacation to anyone looking to have a relaxing time and spend time together.
