Cabin in the Meadow

The cabin was gorgeous! When we arrived, they left a special message and provided drinks to celebrate our engagement. Firewood was provided as well as freshly laid eggs. People in Sandpoint are very polite. We intend on returning here for another trip in the future.

Attention to detail! The hosts here truly do pay attention to detail. The cabin was very clean and was represented very well in the photos. We very much enjoyed our stay!

This property was so comfortable and unique. It had lots of little touches that made our stay feel relaxed and homey. We were totally secluded and enjoyed a restful weekend. Would definitely want to stay here again. Our hosts made check in and check out simple and convenient.

I wish I could squeeze an extra half star into my review of this property. The hosts are terrific, even reaching out to make sure we were settled in after a sudden storm. Excellent location, Super cozy and wonderful attention to detail.

The Cabin in the Meadow exceeded our expectations! The cabin itself is well designed and the hosts thoughtfulness and attention to detail was first rate. We have not experienced such a welcoming and romantic get away since Tuscany IT. If we are back in Sand Point we will definitely stay at The Cabin again. We highly recommend!

The Cabin in the Meadow was just what we needed and well worth the drive up from the Treasure Valley. If you're looking into other accommodations, do yourself a favor and just choose this adorable, well-appointed and decorated little cabin. It has everything you need to cook meals, relax by the firepit, barbecue and even a Smart TV in the bedroom. It is very quiet in this part of Sandpoint yet only a 10-minute drive into town and Lake Pend Oreille if you choose to go into town. The Selkirks and the Pack River are a short, beautiful drive. Make sure you eat at the Hoot Owl Cafe for breakfast at least once before you leave. We hope to be back!

loved the cozy of the cabin- just what the soul needs- i didn't find dish soap but had some- was cool that it feels out in the mountains but yet minutes from down town- easy drive to the hikes i wanted- thank you again

Cool vibe with an homage to the old days decor and furniture. The ladder to the loft was a bit sketchy and not for the feint of heart. Having the only bathroom an on-suite was a bit problematic and unexpected; that was the only real drawback of the space.

The hosts are made for creating a space of top notch welcoming and comfort, even their helpful labeling is tasteful and on point. Cabin in the Meadow is inviting, restful, impressive…I would give 10 stars if I could.

This is the perfect couples getaway. The attention to detail was perfect. We had everything we needed and it was clean, welcoming and comfortable. Loved the rustic charm. Bed was comfy, shower wonderful. Everything is new and in great condition. We LOVED our 3 day stay. Saw deer and turkeys in the yard. If you go to Sandpoint you gotta stay here. Reasonably priced as well. Great hosts

Amazing communication! Very attentive host, but not at all bothersome...simply made herself available if needed. It was our anniversary and she left a treat for us as a congratulations. The cabin was CLEAN!!! The bed linens were high end and oh so comfortable. This cabin was built to appear rustic, but don't let it fool you. It is equipped with motion sensored trash cans, good heat sources, and functional stove and microwave. The cabin boasted a tiny Christmas Tree and picture to bring in some holiday cheer. Tasteful and cozy! We highly recommend this host and cabin!!!

What a magical stay at the cabin in the meadow! The hosts have built a beautiful, cozy, well stocked cabin in the most private, serene location! The nature surrounding you was magical! Deer, turkeys, woodpeckers, we saw them all. We will be back to enjoy this peaceful lovely spot again.

We really had a great stay. The communication with the owner was quick and easy. This very cozy cabin is really clean, loved the eye fot detail in the interior. We even had wild deer, chipmunks and turkey in the front yard passing by.Again it's a great perfect stay.

We had a wonderful stay! The property was peaceful and full of charm — we loved seeing wild turkeys and deer right in the yard. Evenings spent sitting by the fire under the stars were a highlight of our trip.Inside, the home was very comfortable and thoughtfully stocked. The beds were cozy with excellent pillows, and plenty of towels were provided. The barbecue was great for cooking meals, and everything we needed was right there.One of the best parts was the location — it felt like we were far out in the woods, surrounded by nature, but in reality we were just a short drive to town.The host was extremely responsive and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. We highly recommend this property and would be happy to stay again!

Fun getaway with details that made it special

Cabin was cute and minimally furnished (in a good way). Every detail of decor was well thought out. We plan to come back in the winter. Only complaint is there is a main road nearby and is a little noisy (but the cabin interior is well insulated so we couldn't hear it inside).

Everything about our stay was absolutely wonderful! Kris and Rachel have clearly put so much love and effort into making Cabin in the Meadow a haven for their guests. We saw so much wildlife and enjoyed the many amenities the property has to offer. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during our wedding week!

Staying at Cabin in the Meadow was a dream! My partner and I stayed here for my birthday and were looking for a little escape from the city - we got exactly what we were looking for. The cabin was impeccably clean, and the hosts have an extraordinary attention to detail. There was everything we could ever need and more, to make our stay feel just like home. The cabin is rustic, cozy, and full of character, while at the same time being modern and comfortable. It is remote and private while also being super close to town. What a great property! Extremely well built. So many extras we felt spoiled. Saw deer, quail, turkey, and heard the woodpecker. The only downside was no AC on the 90 day. Otherwise perfect!

Couldn't ask for anything more!

This sweet spot was the perfect place for my daughter and I to get away and spend time together. Surrounded by pines, it is so peaceful. We enjoyed the warmth of the fire while watching the weather outside. Everything is high quality and cozy. Definitely one of the best places we have ever stayed.

The cabin was such a cozy and inviting place for us to spend our 10th anniversary. It has everything you cpuld need and is secluded in beautiful scenery. We loved staying there and would recommend any couple looking to disconnect and get away to stay here .

This is my second time staying at the cabin in the meadow. It is extremely quiet and peaceful and wonderful as a solo traveler. The bed is comfortable, the water is hot, and the coffee supply is seemingly never ending. The drive up to Schweitzer is fairly easy and also provide provides quick access into town.Even with a four-wheel-drive vehicle, the driveway is very steep. If weather conditions are icy, I recommend contacting Kris and Rachel to get a “parking spot“ cleared up top. I slid off the end of the driveway and could not get my vehicle back on solid ground by myself. Kris spent at least an hour trying to help me, but we ended up having to call a tow company for a winch out anyway. This is by no means a reflection of the property and the hosts were extremely gracious through the whole event. I appreciate their warmth and caring, and the laughs had at my expense . If my travels bring me back through Sandpoint, I will surely stay at this cabin for a third time.

Nearly new, tastefully decorated cabin with turkeys in the woods. Very quiet and private. Nice shower. Fun to have a fire outside on a cold night. I failed to notice that the cozy loft is accessed by a ladder which wasn't ideal, my bad. Would return provided my buddy takes the loft next time!

Beautiful cabin! First time booking a stay with vrbo. I was nervous. I was quite impressed with the ease of the check in process. It is close to town and lake.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was beautiful and very quiet. The furnishings were very nice and comfy. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer. We were very tired when we arrived from travelling and the cabin had everything we needed and more. Definitely would like to stay again when we are in the area.

Everything about this cabin was perfect. It was so clean and comfortable. You can tell the owners have put a ton of work into it and we appreciated all of the small extra touches from the wine to the readers. We loved relaxing on the porch and really enjoyed sitting around the fire pit. Would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

The cabin was 1st class. Everything was beyond excellent.

We could leave everything behind and retire here. It is that idyllic. Ok, maybe move it about 15 miles into the woods, but really, it’s that good. Kris and Rachel are lucky we left!

Cute little cabin in the woods. We were able to enjoy the deer and the wild turkeys and even had a skinny friendly cat come to visit. The cabin itself was identical to the listing except did not realize how difficult it would be for women in their fifties to be able to go up and down that ladder to the loft. It was especially difficult to get my friends huge piece of luggage up there. We spent most of our time there outside and would have appreciated more wood for the fire pit. We would be more conscious next time to bring our own axe and wood to a unit with a fire pit. The weather was great and we enjoyed Sandpoint.

Loved the cabin and the small touches were an extra bonus, Scones cooler on the porch, and the complementary wine. Location was great just outside of Sandpoint. Nice town and great motorcycle riding!

Beautiful property! Everything was exactly as the photos and listing indicate. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. We all had our best sleeps here! Rachel and Kris went above and beyond providing extra supplies and treats. We felt very relaxed and spoilt staying here. We stayed in 3 other places on our road trip and can say that hands-down, this is the only place we did not want to leave. We were blessed to see several deer on the property, many birds (our favorite being the Hummingbird who greeted us upon our arrival), starry nights and bats at dusk. Rachel and Kris you have a very special place. Thank you Cabin in the Meadow!

We had a great time staying at the Cabin in the Meadow in Sandpoint. The hosts Kris & Rachel, thought of everything and made the stay incredibly comfortable while we visited Sandpoint for the first time. There was great privacy and thoughtful touches throughout. They had a great AC unit for a hot weekend. Thanks so much for everything!

The last two nights of a week long road trip were spent at this very well thought out, nicely appointed and quiet “Cabin in the Meadow.” The hosts, unseen, made you feel welcome even though you never see them, but it is as if you were a very honored guest. It is one of two places that we will hope to return to in the future. Well worth it!!

The beautiful setting in the woods is truly breath taking...the deer greeted us each day. The hosts were very easy to reach and the check in was seamless. We will definitely be back!
