Carp Lake, Michigan
This Vintage Rustic cabin, primarily designed for the camping & fishing enthusiast, is just one cabin of a 7 cabin resort. This cabin was built in the early 1930's and holds every bit of that vintage character. It may be a little rough around the edges but this authentic cabin holds the wonderful allure of days gone by. Electrical outlets would have been added a few years later and air conditioning wasn’t even thought of at that time. Those details won't matter to the outdoorsy kind coming for the camping experience where lake activity fills your day and evenings are enjoyed around the campfire. This charming cabin has a knotty pine interior and all the basics to create an Up North camping style atmosphere. A lifestyle one will appreciate becoming acquainted with.
All the cabins are lined up next to each other along the shore of a beautifully serene lake. This close proximity to other cabins have traditionally created a friendly community style atmosphere where guests mingle and create lasting friendships. This is the kind of place where your grandparents brought your parents, your parent’s brought you, and you are now bringing your children to create beautiful memories while spending a nostalgic vacation in a familiar old cabin.
This 1 bedroom cabin is 280 sq ft and sleeps 2 people in a queen size bed. There's a kitchen with everything to cover your basic needs, a dinning space and a simple bathroom that includes a warm shower. The spacious 10’x6’ enclosed porch overlooking the lake. Perfect for spending a quiet evening with a loved one.
Whether you are looking for a home base to camp at the lake or a base camp while you explore the area’s attractions, you will enjoy this cozy cabin and all its imperfections. More than anything, you’re gonna love the authentic charm and the carefree lifestyle that comes with camping Up North.

It was amazing for the price and the owner was very accommodating.
Cute and cozy place. I wish the bed had been more comfortable, but for the price, I cannot complain.
I rented this cabin online never having been to Mackinaw City. At the time I didn't realize it was a VRBO rental. With a 15 Hour drive we didn't get there until 9 PM but we called Ritchie the Owner and he was very understanding and said he would be there to welcome us which he was. The cabin was clean and well stocked. The only problem I had was the shower nozzle was HORRILBILE! The water just SPRAYED out in a mist!
the lake an Cabin
Great spot on the lake , with a very of a big oak tree that hung in the water blocking the view, the cabin was just an empty box , no homy feeling, bare dusty walls , charged 150 for my dogs being there , which I don't get. There's no damage my dogs could do to this place that isn't done already. Love the lake , but would not stay here again.front door didn't even close right.not much for cooking supplies either. Sorry but you need to do some work around here. Instead of just taking people's money.
We loved our stay. Beautiful view on the water. Cabin was cozy and charming. Richie was there to greet us. He was a fantastic host.
The cabin was as advertised. Very cute old-style cabin. Windows were kept open due to the wonderful breeze blowing off from the lake. We would spend time on the porch when the sun came up and, in the afternoon, would sit out by the lake and watch the people going around on their boats. It was very quiet and relaxing. We would definitely stay again!!!
Quite small, but just fine for me, my husband and dog. Right on lake.
We love coming here every winter. It is quiet, cozy, tidy, and simply all we need. Ritchie is great - very welcoming. Clyde's across the road makes a great pizza too!
My husband became very sick on our way to our cabin. I had to take him home immediately and then I called the Doctor and we did a video appointment. My husband was at the Oncologist/Hematologist that morning and received his treatments. He had a reaction to one of the medication he received. I can show proof of his treatment.
The cabin was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the view of the lake and the stars. The sun rises from over the lake were absolutely breathtaking. Check in process was easy and communication with property owner Ritchie was good. We look forward to staying at 7Lakeside Cabins again real soon.
NICE
Welcomed warm cabin on a chilling day. Experienced what that past visitors must have enjoyed, even back in the early days ...1920's .
Convenient location to other interests, we liked the cabin! We will come back!
Very pleasant
If you are looking for a no frills place to base a Macinac trip, this fits the bill. There is no AC and just the basics at a group of 7 1920's little cabins on a quiet lake 6 miles south of Mackinaw City. The owner is friendly and helpful and there is a nice cafe on the water a short walk away. My daughter and I didn't want to leave and hope to go back next year.
Had a great time. Everyone was friendly, clean and neat cabin, loved how the water was just feet from the back door. Overall great time. Just wish the fishing would have went better.
Awesome
Cute and comfortable.
This cabin is located very close to Mackinaw City which we loved! Cabin 5 had a great sunroom we enjoyed each morning. The cabin was perfect for all our needs especially being local to areas like Mackinaw City, St. Ignace, and an hour away from Sault St Marie. Great communication with the host who was there for any questions we had regarding travel or local restaurants. The cabin and yard space by the water was very clean and nicely set up. We definitely will stay again!
