Brown Bear Hideaway, Beautiful Mtn View, Screen Porch, King, 2 miles to town

Only thing this property has is the view the rest is very bad you drive past old junk mobile homes and boarded up apartment buildings and neighbor dogs running free, and the owner has the nerve to say to pickup after your dogs when there was dog poop in the driveway and yard from neighbor dogs!

We had the most magical time. The host had thought of everything and had wonderful communication. We have stayed in many vacation homes. This one was by far the best we have experienced. Completely perfect. Thank you Karen.

Our cabin was cozy and was pet friendly with our toy poodle. There was amble room for 4 adults and 2 large screened in porches to relax ourside and enjoy the beautiful views of the mountains. Firewood was provided so that we could have an evening around a campfire.

Epic views, very nice cabin.

Best part of the house was the view of the mountains. Wasn’t that clean hair on pillow, looked like a blood stain on one pillow case, the porch had cob webs , dust on the rails and inside the house the floors squeak when walking. Overall wasn’t bad just needed a little TLC.

Host was very helpful and pleasant. House was beautiful inside and out. Had a very homey feeling that made everyone comfortable. We all enjoyed the view from the screen in porch of the mountains. We had enough space for all of us.

We so enjoyed our stay. Our host, Karen was very attentive, proactive, and very pleasant. We only had one small issue during our stay, which was with the TV loosing connection to the internet. She was quickly able to help us resolve it. The house was very clean and comfortable. We had a picture window view of Brasstown Bald and could see the observation tower with the naked eye. We highly recommend this home and host, and we are looking forward to staying here again.

Lovely home with excellent screened porch facing Brasstown Bald, house located just below Bell Mountain park and 5 minutes from Lake Chatuge. Fabulous hikes nearby and easy access to boat and kayak rentals. Golden hour in the late day is especially beautiful. Very peaceful and tree covered dead end street.

We had a great family trip with our adult children and their significant others. We loved the view from the cabin. We enjoyed a few fires in the evening and the town of Hiawassee and surrounding area with so much to do including kayaking on the lake, a hike to the waterfall at Vogel State Park, Brasstown Bald (even though it was not a clear day), a trip to Helen and music bingo at the Hiawassee Brewery a few minutes down the road was fun. My personal favorite was the Living Waters Winery in Blairsville with gorgeous views and, of course, the Travis Tritt concert at the Hiawassee Fairgrounds!! Some other favorites were the Sand Bar and Marine Station for adult beverages and apps. The neighborhood was peaceful, and we liked that you could not see the neighbors next to us (although sometimes we could hear dogs barking in the distance). I would love to come back again. A gas/propane grill on the outside upper deck would be an added bonus in addition to the charcoal grill by the firepit.

The check in process was smooth and easy, and the directions made the cabin easy to find. The cabin itself was great, the views are incredible, and the screened in porch was an amazing place to spend an evening relaxing. We are already talking about planning our next trip!

We stayed for a few nights in early April. It was rainy and cold out, so we didn't get to explore the neighborhood much, but the place was cozy, and the screened-in porch was great. Awesome views to have our morning coffee. Our dog loved it too! The host was super helpful with everything we needed. The Ingles at the bottom of the mountain was one of the largest and cleanest grocery stores we've ever seen, and only a 7 minute drive from the cabin. The beds were comfy, and the foosball table was a huge hit with my teenagers. The location was great too. Quiet neighborhood about 10 minutes from North Carolina and 40 minutes from Anna Ruby Falls and Helen.n.

Nice and clean place. Amazing views from the deck. All the amenities you need. Cute little town. Lots of little hiking places within a short drive. Firewood for sale at the foot of the hill, which was convenient for the fire pit. Only negative- charcoal grill only, no gas. Grocery store in town sells needed supplies, though. Great trip!!

My wife and I recently celbrated our Anniversary in Hiawassee at the Brown Bear Hideway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is very clean and everything was as described. Owners are very responsive. Even though it rained a lot we loved how relaxing it was!

I have a family house in hiawassee and my water piped busted so I had to rent a cabin and glad I did this place is awesome and I had a blast

Very nice property. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Loved to screened porch and the view is marvelous. Property is conveniently located near supermarket and restaurants. Definitely a great place to stay.

I loved staying here. The cabin was cleaned, spacious and peaceful. The property manager was very responsive and helped us quickly with the WiFi (it disconnected but was quickly back on). It’s only about two minutes away from Bell Mountain. We had a great time and would stay again. Highly recommend!

It was a great getaway. Great view and the cabin accommodated all of the family's needs. Minor issues but the owner responded and took care of it quickly. Whenever we had a question the owners were always available. The family had a great time and would highly recommend this rental.

Cabin was even nicer and more spacious than we anticipated. The views were phenomenal from the huge screened in porch. Inside was very nice and roomy. The downstairs master bedroom was nice and secluded from the rest of the cabin, (even though we didn't use it). There's plenty of parking for at least 3 cars and a carport for another vehicle. The property is very convenient to downtown. The hosts are extremely friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend this property. You certainly won't be disappointed.

We chose this home over others for the view. What a spectacular mountain view from the screened-porch and living area as well. Spacious home with plenty of sleeping options. The location was perfect for exploring the N. GA region. I would definitely stay here again!

This place is stunning! It is warm and comfy. Close enough to food/stores but far enough away that you can really enjoy nature. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

We had very nice time! Met all our expectations.

The property was perfectly secluded, yet minutes away from anything one might need! It’s within 10 minutes of Abide coffee shop, Ingles grocery store, Hiawassee Brew, and it’s even on the way up to Bell Mountain! Location was perfect! The cabin itself was beautiful, and had a wonderful view of the mountains! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and would definitely stay here again!

A very comfortable and VERY clean cabin.

We enjoyed our month at the cabin. The view of the mountains from the screened porch is exactly as advertised. The cabin is cozy and clean and comfortable. It’s not very close to any other cabins, so privacy and serenity are assured. The hosts were very responsive and happy to help with any request, communication could not have been better.
