This cozy cabin was great for exploring the Boothbay Harbor area. It's not winterized but with the fireplace/woodburning stove/heat and space heaters we were never cold and quite warm. We played lots of board games and enjoyed nearby hikes and the Gardens Aglow. Very quiet street in the winter.
At first glance the house seemed charming. However, the smell of urine in the bathroom was overwhelming. Also urine smell in first floor bedroom. Twin pull out couch had dirty linens and blanket stuffed under the cushion. Couch had dirt under it (on a vinyl floor). Kitchen sink needed to be scoured. Fireplace had not been cleaned in forever. House was cold with only one gas heater.
We had a very nice stay. Beds were great. Location close to everything. The home had amenities for everything you would ever need.
Greg was a very responsive host. The property offers a quiet getaway from the bustle in town. Great area to walk. I enjoyed the deck area and open grass area for my dog.
We had a wonderful time at the house! It had everything we needed plus little extras like lobster pots, dog dishes, and games!
Loved staying here! Just be careful of the stairs to the second story, they are slippery!
Nice convenient place in boothbay
This is a charming, rustic little house in the woods. It’s very well equipped and stocked (which is generally only true if someone has actually lived there), and it was on an appealingly wooded street. There’s no air conditioning, but there were plenty of fans. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
Greg’s cottage has everything one needs to enjoy Boothbay Harbor. He was readily available to help out and I highly recommend this listing. Also, if you like cooking, he has absolutely everything you can think of. The whole place was super organized. And if you have to do laundry, he has everything you need. Boothbay is super nice and the place is walking distance to town and Barrett Park.
We loved our stay here. Two adults sisters and elderly mom had a great time. The space was spotless. I usually expect cabins to be more rustic. Kudos to the cleaning staff. The kitchen has absolutely everything you might need to cook and eat in. It is just a hop skip and a jump to downtown bustling Boothbay. The cabin itself is on a very quiet road which we really enjoyed. We all highly recommend and hope to be back. Communication was spot on! The owner is very attentive and available. 5 stars all the way!
Greg was a very responsive host and answered all our questions promptly. The house was clean, spacious for 2 adults and a dog and close to all the action happening in Boothbay Harbor. Kitchen is well equipped for lobster dinners and the deck out back is perfect for relaxing with a beverage after a long day sightseeing!
My family of five spent a wonderful few days at this house. It was a perfect size for us, and located near tons of beautiful hikes and of course, close to the sweet town of Boothbay Harbor. We highly recommend this house for families or couples looking for a quiet getaway.
