Big Bear Lodge: Mountain Views, Game Room

House was beautiful. Sleeping situation is 12 on the top floor, 14 middle floor, and 8 on the bottom floor. The beds nor the pull outs are not comfortable. Bring a mattress topper if you can.Overall, the house was nice. The main issue that we had was the drive up was sketchy at best. I would never try to pull this off with inclement weather.

We had a wonderful time of fellowship and relaxation during our stay here. The beds are pretty hard, so come prepared for that if you are not used to sleeping on a harder mattress.

The only real issue we had was we had to wait to check in a little longer than expected and a maintenance man was still there an hour and a half after we were originally supposed to check in. Then once we got settled we wanted to get in the jacuzzi but it wasn’t working properly. Maintenance did respond and fix the issue quickly. After that we really had no complaints. We had enough space, it was nice and cool. We had a good view of the mountains. It was an overall great experience.

The cabin is listed to house 30 plus people but there is very little comfortable seating on any of the levels for more than 3 or 4 people at one time. We took a family of 14 and we not able to be together except at the table while eating. The cabin beside played VERY LOUD music starting early morning until very late at night. This made our stay not very peaceful, but also was not the responsibility of our cabin company or owners. Overall, I would recommend this cabin and use it again.

The house is 3 stories, and really is a great setup to accommodate big groups!There's a pool table & foosball table on the top floor (that was where the younger folks slept so they could play pool all night)A big projector screen on the middle floor (some of the older crowd enjoyed watching movies and TV on the projector and they were away from the noisy pool table, but also had a foosball table on the middle floor to use).And then the lower level had the kitchen and that was where the remainder of the older crowd slept as it was the furthest from the pool table. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped, the hot tub was BIG, and the house was really great overall. The dining table on the lower level is HUGE and accommodated everyone in our group. Washer & Dryer was a nice touch as well!All 3 levels had huge decks, and the view from the top level is AMAZING... seriously, AMAZING.Our only complaint would be the house needs a bit more furniture... just armchairs, or additional couches, as well as nightstands or end tables. The second floor has just one couch, which makes watching TV a bit of a bummer if more than 2-3 people want to watch something.The property was only about 17 minutes to Gatlinburg, 17 minutes to Pigeon Forge, and about 20 minutes to Sevierville. Great central location! The road up to the house is a little daunting for people who have never been on Tennessee mountain roads, but nobody made any errors in our group. It is a bit steep and has a couple turns that would definitely be a challenge in wet or icy conditions, but fortunately the weather was decent enough during our stay.If we ever had another big group gathering again, I would definitely lean toward booking this cabin. It really was an awesome experience.
