Stayed Jul 19, 2025The yellow chalet has spectacular views and is a very nice home. The highlight were a Mother Bear and her 2 cubs coming visiting daily. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are lovely, clean cities with lots of attractions and friendly people. Unfortunately there were 2 huge disappointments. A pool was our top priority with a knee surgery on the horizon and arthritis. The pool was freezing cold even with temperatures in the day in the high 80's. I am not a wimp as far as pools and swim 3-5 days a week for years. This pool was unusable. The second disappointment was that my husband likes to walk and explore in the mornings. There is a beautiful but narrow road up the mountain that has a sign that says No Pedestrians. The farthest he could walk was to the dumpster 100- 150 ft away. If you don't walk to walk jog, or swim the yellow chalet is a 10.

Stayed Jun 21, 2025I can’t say enough good things about this home. David is a lovely host, very helpful with suggestions. The location has an absolutely beautiful view and spot. Quiet street with a great pool. The house itself is perfect, super clean and comfortable. We saw bears on the mountain every evening. Dollywood, downtown Gaitlinburg and Pigeon Forge are a short drive away. If you want access to the fun activities but peace and quiet in the mountains too, this place is the best of both. Pictures of the view don’t do it justice. We saw sunsets on the mountain every evening and got up early for sunrise. Highly recommend!

Stayed Jun 7, 2025Trailered our motorcycles to the area - lot of beautiful rides. The road to get to the cabin pulling a trailer is not for a beginner, lots of tight/blind corners and narrow roads. We left when it was still dark so we could see if someone was coming around the corner. The house was in a cul-de-sac and was very quiet. We saw a bear the first night there and another night 2 different bears. Lots of beautiful sunrise/sunset picture opportunity. The pool is not heated but it was refreshing to cool off, it would be perfect in the summer. The internet isn't fast and kept going out when it stormed but the tv didn't have streaming options. The kitchen was a little small but that's not why we were there :-) we would definitely stay here again if in the area. The owner did call and give suggestions on where to eat & places to see.

Stayed Dec 28, 2024My family and I had a great experience. We are from Miami, so Gatlinburg was very different experience. Mountain views were spectacular. It was nice and cozy. This was a gem. Very nice cozy and perfect for our family of 4 . Very high at the top of the mountain the price was unbeatable and budget friendly. It was perfect and what we needed to get away from our city life. David was very communicative and helpful in giving us suggestions in what places to sight see and eat and groceries to shop at which was important since we weren't familiar with the area and we were crunch so he saved us time. The Chalet and space exceeded our expectations and the unique decorations were cute and unique we liked that it had a indoor jacuzzi, sauna and private balconies with great views. Highly recommend this place!

Stayed Sep 14, 2024This property had incredible views. We saw a gorgeous sunrise over the Smokey mountains every day. We saw multiple bears on our way to and from the house every day. This house was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was small but efficient, and it was nice to have stainless steel pans with which to cook. There was some trouble getting onto the internet, but David responded to our questions right away and got the problem fixed quickly. He also gave us some great suggestions for new places we could go in the area, since we have been to Gatlinburg many times. His recommendations did not disappoint. We loved how close the property was to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the Great Smoky Mountains National park. This was probably one of our favorite locations we have every stayed in the Smokies.

Stayed Jul 6, 2024We so enjoyed our stay. The location was fabulous for bird watching, (owls!) and of course, the bears. Saw a mama bear with her four cubs! What a treat. We did have a younger bear climb onto the deck and steal some food (I was eating yogurt and granola outside) and as he was coming up, in my haste I ran in the house and forgot the granola, so he grabbed it and ran into the woods. Afterwards we just kept a metal pan outside with a spoon to bang on if they tried coming on the deck again, and that worked to keep them away. I would definitely go back and stay in this location. It was an amazing week there.
