Beautifully updated cabin near town & Barrett

It was quiet, very clean, and a comfy bed.

Travelers with limited mobility will have difficulty negotiating the petite bathroom. Must climb up, at least 6 inches or more, to get in and out of the shower without grab bars. Commode is low. Remaining studio is an open plan. Kitchenette is well done and adequately stocked.

That it was clean and we were allowed to do an early check in.

The apartment was cute and it was nice to have all the appliances while on a vacation. Quick walk to see the water and to eat at Red’s. The bathroom was the only area of complaint: the door didn’t close completely, the shower curtain smelled, and the shower head was attached with a magnet and not adjustable (I tried adjusting and the head popped of the magnet and sprayed water all over the bathroom). But overall, it was a good stay.

Easy to get to location with ability to walk across the footbridge to town. We appreciated the air conditioning during the very hot parts of our stay! WiFi worked great! The home would benefit from bowls and an outdoor hose to wash feet and beach items off. The one drawback to this house is the very small water heater - it provides about 4 minutes of warm/hot water. It didn’t matter what time we showered - first thing in the morning, after being out all day when no one had used the water for many hours, etc. This was really disappointing and would be a dealbreaker for us for a future stay.

We loved our time at Bay Cabin! The house offered everything we could want for our vacation with two young kids. Close proximity to the beach at Barrett’s Park and downtown was so nice. It was great to be able to cook at home when needed and to be able to walk to restaurants and stores in less than ten minutes. Our older son asked if we could just move in and stay forever. Highly recommend and hope to stay again!
