Perfect Christmas Getaway! Our family had the most incredible time at this Gran Lake cabin over the holidays. The location was ideal, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty. The cabin itself was immaculate and well-maintained, with a fully equipped kitchen that made meal preparation a breeze. We appreciated the attention to detail and the cleanliness of the entire property. The cozy atmosphere made our Christmas celebration truly magical. We couldn't have asked for a better place to create lasting memories with our loved ones. We highly recommend this Vrbo stay and can't wait to return! Very important: the host was always in contact with me taking care of everything
What a great location!! It borders the National park and sits overlooking a beautiful pond. It is very close to Grand Lake for dining and shopping. The property was immaculate and had everything you could possibly need. The host was helpful and knowledgeable. My sister and her grandson and I had the best stay!! We didn’t want to leave. This is the best property I have stayed with from VRBO. I would love to stay here again if I visit the RMNP in the future. I give this property a five star plus rating!
The home entry invites you to unload your worries and cares right-away, leaving them on coat hooks and boot benches. The foyer full paned glass door leads to the heart of the home. A wall of windows introduce you to the wilds of the outdoors from the ease of cushy arm rests indoors. From the stone hearth windows into the kitchen, two full walls of granite counter space and appointed appliances, everyone cooked their specialty in this kitchen. If it wasn’t the smoky bbq ribs from the deck and stone yard bbq it was a breakfast quiche chased by many cups of coffee alto late evening scoops of ice cream over warm pie for dessert. Our family culinary inner-chef was set free at every meal. The temps were 45-78 degrees, this made the outdoor yard spaces our in-and-out leisure time. The back of the home is waterfront, full of chatter from laughing squirrels, clacking ducks and fly-by trills of Osprey. Which was the best view of the water, from indoors or out, was the days voting challenge. The home offered tv related options and the internet was better than our home. The split bedroom floor plan made it convenient to serve the night owls and the early risers of our family. The outdoor setting of the home calms the senses and the indoors hosted our style of family experiences. What we appreciated was just “a-phone-call-away”, we had access to the host. This is not often experienced after your reservation has been paid. A great asset. Thank you for opening your home.
Came to Grand Lake for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. Cabin was very clean, private and great location to town and the park. Would definitely stay again.
Property is close to both lake and national park.
So thankful for the days we had On Lilly Pond. The cabin is a true treasure: tastefully appointed, spacious, well-outfitted, and very comfortable. We really enjoyed relaxing out back - cooking on the grill, visiting around the gas fire pit table, and paddle boarding on the pond down the hill. Renee was a dream to work with!
The property and house were perfect for a relaxing family vacation!! The location was great!! Close enough to town and RMNP but quiet and beautiful on the lily pond. We saw moose and mule deer almost every morning or afternoon. We saw a momma and baby moose most days and on our last morning a bull moose came through the yard. Renee was a wonderful host and so easy to work with! Our family had the best time and hope to return in the future!
We had a great stay at the lily pond house in Grand Lake. The house borders Rocky Mountain National Park so it is really quiet and peaceful. We were treated to moose sightings daily. We also had plenty of deer and elk visits. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck bird watching on the lake. And we enjoyed staying at the house to cook and visit with family. The house is rustic enough to get the sense that you are in the mountains and has everything you need. The kitchen is well appointed and has everything you need to make meals, grill, sit by the fire table. The beds were comfortable and there is plenty of all the bedding, towels etc for the whole family. Renee is super attentive and communicative. We would go back for sure! The whole family loved it.
Our family of 5 had a wonderful time at this mountain home which sits on the border of the Rocky Mountain National Park and minutes away from the main street in Grand Lake. The kitchen was well stocked for making meals. Added touches of fresh flowers, chocolates, and soaps and lotions made us feel welcomed and well cared for during our stay. The moose and her baby were a delight to watch, from inside the house, as they bedded down off the back porch at night, and were there in the mornings, grazing and playing. Thank you! We'll be back!
Home is a tucked away in the trees backing up to national forest land very private. Great fireplace to keep house nice and warm.
The house is as described bedrooms are comfortable kitchen is well stocked laundry area is great ! Communication with Renee was the best highly recommend
We have been lucky to stay in several VRBO properties and this one was absolutely terrific. It was very quiet and very close to Rocky Mountain National Park. The view out the windows of the small pond was lovely. We had deer on the back patio the first morning. We enjoyed the beautiful clear night sky and even took some photos of the milky way from the yard. The home was very clean and all the kitchen appliances, pots and pans, etc were all new. The home was perfectly decorated for a relaxing mountain get away. We were greeted with fresh flowers which was especially nice. The living room was welcoming and comfortable for our family. The Colorado Photography book on the coffee table was very informative and interesting. The fall colors were near their peak and we enjoyed driving around and seeing all the beautiful yellow aspens. Renee was always very responsive to us and an excellent host. We hope to stay at this wonderful home again in our future travels to Rocky Mountain National Park.
Renee was an excellent host and this is a great cabin with some historic charm, immediately adjacent to a pleasant lilly pond that lies within the RMNP boundary. We saw a family of moose one morning. The cabin has three bedrooms and a large living room and kitchen. There is a deck overlooking the pond. The whole cabin was spotless and very quiet. Would happily return! I'd like to go back in the cold weather and take advantage of the fireplace.
