Even though this is usually a fully catered venue for summer bookings, we decided to try it in the winter when limited services were provided and were happy that we did! Sam, who was our host, reached out to us before we even arrived to introduce himself and was a fantastic host during our stay. He went out of hos way to make sure that we had everything that we needed. We enjoyed the sauna, snow shoeing, feeding the horses carrots and apples, visiting the sites in the area. We loved the fact that it was out of town (Jackson) and away from the bustle. When we needed to stock up, the drive into Jackson was only 25 mins away. The cabin was clean and everything functioned well, especially the heating!! Was a wonderful stay. I highly recommend staying here in the winter. We hope to come back sometime in the summer too! We wanted a little cabin in the woods experience and this fit the bill perfectly, but we were blown away by all the other unexpected treats! The lodge was fantastic—so cozy and inviting with charming details in every nook and cranny! The setting is lovely by the river, and Sam was so polite/helpful/attentive. The cabin itself was very clean and most comfortable. It is just off of a somewhat busy road but this does not deter from feeling like we were really in the woods at all, and it was very convenient to get back into Jackson to see friends there. Within 10 minutes of arrival my sons and I were already plotting our return with friends and other family members! We will definitely be back to see the horses and partake in summer activities! We loved it!
We didn’t stay here. We were under the impression that the sauna and game room were private. It is more of a community living situation and with being in a global pandemic, my group decided it wasn’t for us. We did find the add to be slightly misleading as I feel it should be very up front with “shared” spaces.
I can not sing enough praises about our stay at the cabin tucked into the Spotted Horse Ranch. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming amidst the pandemic. The cabin and common areas were cleaned thoroughly and there were hand-sanitizers scattered throughout to give extra assurance and peace of mind. We spent our time shared lounging around the cabin, playing pool and board games in the lodge/bar area, steaming it up in the wood burning sauna and meeting the beautiful horses - all while admiring the views nestled into the mountains which backed onto the Hoback River. It was picture perfect and our daughters kept stating that they felt like we were in a Hallmark movie. Sam offered us a variety of tasty pastries each morning along with coffee, hot chocolate, water and a variety of hot teas. I cant thank Sam and everyone else for their hospitality while we visited and our daughters experienced SNOW all the way from Florida. We will definitely be back to experience the various seasons and to spend more time with the horses! We will continue to sing your praises and have already shared the property with friends and family. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THE AMAZING MEMORIES!!
Very comfortable and warm. Cabin is comfortable, lodge building is very close. There is no food in the winter so you have to go to town for meals. We did not mind we were going out every day anyway. Absolutely beautiful area. Snowmobile trip up at heart 6 ranch was the best. All day trip with lunch. Lots of wildlife everywhere. We saw elk, moose, and Buffalo up close.
