Beautiful log cabin nestled in the Hiawatha National Forest located in The UP.

Everything was perfect for snowmobiling and riding out the blizzard.

We had a great time, it is an excellent location for day trips. Very cozy home.

Cabin is in a great location, easy to get anywhere you want. Cabin was clean, warm and cozy! 4 adults and 1 child. This was our third time staying here and we are already planing our next stay!

We ABSOLUTELY loved this cabin and our stay.... Everything you need was available for us in the cabin! We happen to be there for the BLIZZARD of December 2025.....We were a bit concerned about access (road and drive) the the cabin do to the storm. It was completely plowed upon our arrival and was plowed as needed during our stay... So impressed! The cabin stayed very warm and cozy without needing the heat on high. The fire place was easy to use and had a nice amount of wood provided for us to use . The beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils you would need. Honestly we didn't want to leave.... Will be back, actually looking at our schedule for the summer to come back and see what the area has to offer when not covered in snow!! Our stay was AWESOME, was exactly what we were looking for.... Thanks so much, definitely will return 10/10

Picture perfect! Everything I could ask for & more. Well stocked kitchen & enough linens for the entire stay. The wood stove was a selling feature for me, having a fire was the perfect touch to my entire stay. The property was beautiful. There were deer, squirrels & birds that came to visit! The host compliments it all. I wanted a place to stay & be left alone. He was there if needed him (which I never did) & left me alone to enjoy the cabin. The last thing I wanted was a nosey host, I appreciated this greatly! I would definitely recommend this place & I would love to stay here again. Thank you for an enjoyable & memorial stay. Our family's stay at the cabin was great. Minimal interaction between host and us, but had much available to us. Thank you for having puzzles and games and movies available.We loved our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin! The kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals in. There were movies and games if you have bad weather. The beds were comfortable and the property was peaceful! 10 out 10! I would stay there again!

My family had a great time at the cabin. Check-in was a breeze, we appreciated the option to check-in early at 2 pm. Full kitchen, wi-fi, board games, grill, firepit, all made for a relaxing and fun stay for us in the UP. One thing for renters to be aware of--there is no laundry at the cabin even though the description says there is; there are hookups but no washer and dryer.

Everything about the trip and our stay was perfect

Check-in was seamless, property was immaculate, and the kitchen was bar none the best-equipped of any VRBO we’ve ever stayed at (and we have stayed at many)! Not that the cabin was otherwise under-equipped—we had everything we could possibly need, including multiple fans for hotter days and wonderful info about the area. The location was perfect, easy access to all the local attractions, read: the Big Lake, and our new favorite inland lake, Deer Lake just west down M28. Highly recommended, maximum stars!

Great cabin, exactly what we were looking for!

Our stay was wonderful, we enjoyed the log cabin so much. It was clean and easy to check in. Canoes and Kayak rentals are available right across the street. Au Train beach is very close too and delicious pasties are sold at the convenience store. We’ll definitely recommend that place!

Had a fantastic weekend here over Memorial Day weekend! Camp fires, grilling, games. We were even able to rent a boat to fish Au Train lake from Northwoods canoe and kayak rental. Everyone was so friendly. It was a great experience!

My hubby and I loved the cozy cabin. I loved the decor. We saw deer in the woods on more than one occasion. It was very peaceful and private. The weather was great on Easter Sunday so we drove to Grand Marais to look for rocks. No agates that day. I guess we’ll have to come backThank You.

Wife and I stayed here for short getaway. It was extremely nice and relaxing. We will be booking this cabin again. Thank you for letting us stay and enjoy a piece of your paradise.

The cabin was charming and worked well for our plans. I couldn’t give five stars all around because I felt there were a few items that distracted from the cabin:1. The couch in the living room needs to be replaced / you sink to the bottom when you sit down. Additionally, the spiral staircase blocks your ability to see the TV when you sit in the second couch. 2. The refrigerator needs to be replaced - old and broken handle - though it kept food cold. 3. The kitchen has few cupboards- all our food and supplies had to sit out on the counter. 4. The skillet provided was old, broken handle and needs replaced. 5. What dishes provided were eclectic and so nothing matched - few drinking glasses. Overall, these things did not keep us from loving the area and our stay. We would recommend this place, but would also encourage some improvements.

This was a perfect location for our entire family to relax and unplug. We were blessed with 3 days in the cabin. It was very clean, beautiful, and supplied with all the essentials. We truly can't say enough about our stay. Much needed. The owner was fantastic to work with. We plan on returning as often as possible. Family tradition started.

This was our second time staying here, and it was just as good as the first time. The cabin is located in a great central location, close to many activities. It's well-equipped with just about everything you will need, very clean, and comfortable. I highly recommend a stay here and we plan on going back in the future!

This cabin truly was wonderful. The woods offer deep seclusion while Lake Superior is 3 minutes away for views that will take your breath-away. The wood burning heater made each night a perfectly cozy night, while the front porch chairs offered great morning views. Can’t wait to come back!

The house was really comfortable and has such a cool ambiance with plenty of room for two adults and our 4 year old. There are great beaches in the area and the grocery store down the street had many more staples than we expected. We really enjoyed our stay in Au Train and are so glad we found this particular house!

We stayed in the cabins for eight nights during the first week of August. The cabin is perfectly located in the woods, but very close to the beautiful Au Train beach. It was a great base to take several cruises from Munising, visit Tahgquamenon Falls and other sights in the area. This exactly what we were looking for. We love everything about the cabin.
