Beautiful Cabin On Upper Hay Lake

We had multiple families staying together and we all had our own spaces, we loved that! Some things were in need of repair but overall it was very clean and everything we needed to use was easily accessible and available. We hope to go back in future years.

Comfortable cabins and good kitchen. The kids loved the beach and dock.

What a great find! It is getting harder and harder to gather the family together for a week. Has we grow finding enough room is a struggle especially when they all have pets as well. Having some separate living quarters was a big help. Loved having access directly to a lake. Price was great and everything was nice but dated which we didn't mind. It was mostly clean and everything worked except the freezer door didn't stay shut so things would thaw out. My only issues were there was a bunch of food in cupboards and fridge/freezer which made it hard to get our stuff in. Some of the cabinets were dirty but they were not ones used often. Lastly was the glass on the fireplace door was broken which created a safety hazard for the toddlers. We put up a gate over top to keep them out so we made it work. Nice large spot for adults to play games and kids still had room to play. Neighbors were close which I don't think was noticeable from the pictures but didn't really have any issues with them. All in all we'd go back.

We decided to stay here as it would be enough room for our whole group, me, my husband, his kids, my kids, and our grandkids. There were 13 of us total. We really like this rustic cabin. It is definitely outdated, but that was fine by us as then we didn't have to worry about the grandkids so much. The place was clean and we were spread out a bit in the three different sleeping areas. The bunk house area worked good for my daughter and her husband and three kids to sleep in. It would be nice if they had a bathroom out by the bunkhouse. I would say that they could fix a few things/update them but all in all it's a nice place for the cost. We would consider staying here a again. Thank you. (consider fixing the bunkhouse beds, some were duct taped together and not safe for people to sleep on)

Absolutely Wonderful.. 13 adults and three grandchildren.. We had six to seven vehicles, and had no problem parking. The bunk house is in the garage, with is great for the single guys. The space in the garage is great for taking chairs when rains, or large outdoor activity. The main house was perfect, loved the washer and dryer.. The hot water lasted 4 showers- amazing! Dish washer took a second to figure out how to start, but worked wonderful. We used grill, oven, microwave and stove. I would recommend going thru cupboards to inventory what is there and where.. Cullender was below with pans, not with bowls.. The separate cabin, is great for family with child, due to children sleeping and adults drinking and playing cards. We did hook up a sports channel to watch WNBA- no problem though. The dock needs works, but is usable. Owners friend rents pontoons- thanks for the referral.. We had a fulll house of all aged peeps. There was room for everyone, it was cozy, but we have years of “together time”. The stairs to the water and dock need repair, that was super sad. The bugs were horrible, we used a fogging machine. Worked good for several hours at a time. Fire pit was amazing and plenty of wood?!! There were a some beds that were comfy, maybe upgrade the old ones? Bunks could use some security.

Cabin was perfect for the bachelor party with the boys. Caught some fish on the lake and sat around the fire at night. 10/10

This property needs ALOT of help! 1. First of all an instruction booklet would have been nice. 2. Dishwasher - how do you turn it on? Would have been nice to have a sign about the light switch that says start dishwasher. 3. Bathroom fan does not work that is probably why all the wallpaper is falling off the wall. 4. Lights blink - wiring in this house is really bad -- could burn down at any minute hopefully not when rented. 5. In the outside bunk house - there was a coffee pot with coffee in it that had mold growing in it - FIRE your housekeeper!! 6. No outside lights on either the main cabin or the bunk house -- maybe change the light bulbs!! Very dangerous! 7. Open outlets - watch your little kids! 8. In the outside bunk house there was a blanket that had puke on it - and it wasn't ours! 9. When we asked for heat in the outside bunk house the owner said just pick temp-pilot lite not lit. 10. Had to work at getting TV to work -- again if there was an instruction booklet it would have been nice. 11. On the description of bedrooms on the main site on VRBO it says there are 3 bunk beds. We assumed they were in the outside bunk house. Finally found them in a stinky smelly garage! It should say. 12. Lots of dust on air conditioner & furnace 13.Outlets in island do not work-bad wiring i'm sure 14.The steps into bunk house, down to the lake and the railing on main house - accident waiting to happen 15. Patio door-main house lock didn't work.no steps on patio door in bunk house

The sand beach area was muddy and full of weeds. That was only down fall.
