First off, THAT DRIVEWAY! It's a hard right wrap-around turn then a sharp and steep yet short downhill. Be prepared. Small trailers are do-able (15 feet), but I'd be concerned with any larger trailers. You might be able to get 6 vehicles to park, but you'd have to play tetris to get them all in then be willing to play musical chairs with your vehicles for the duration of your stay. Now, on to the house... PRO's: It was very clean when we got there. The addition of having towels and hotel like amenities in the bathrooms was great! When we opened the hot tub, it too was clean, hot, and ready to go. Plenty of space on the deck to hang out (in the direct sun, so maybe bring an EZ-Up?) along with a couple of picnic bench tables to eat & drink at. The lower deck will have some shade and the two chair swings are nice to swing in while enjoying a beverage and the view. The refrigerator in the kitchen is spacious and nice, with another fridge in the garage. The wi-fi worked well during our stay and and we were able to stream TV without any lagging effect. CON's: It's a fairly nice place but has been worn and not kept up. The paint on the decks is chipping and peeling, and will get tracked inside. Be wary of walking in bare feet on the decks! There are missing fascia boards from a couple cabinets. Another one in the master bath is short by about an inch. There are loose and chipped tiles on the kitchen counter. There was an old hammock hanging on the lower deck that had been worn f
Spacious, accommodating, felt comfortable our whole stay. Would definitely stay again.!
It's would have been a perfect dudes' cabin for hunting The cabin was not clean, beds had to be re made because sheets were not put not correctly. crumbs in pantry, in all utensil drawers. screen in living room was ripped letting all bugs in. Deck paint was peeling badly. when you would step in the hot tub you would bring paint chips in with you. Overall a dissapointment. Parking cars in the drive way was horrendous. because of the 10% slope. Views of the Lake were amazing!!!! spending time with family was priceless.
We loved staying here! It fit our family of 25 with ease and it didn’t feel like we were on top of each other! All the cousins thought the bunk room was amazing! It would have been nice to have a few more sets of silverware, but that didn’t deter us from having a great time! The driveway is extremely steep and is kind of a bugger to park, but the view is like no other! We love bear lake and are excited to go back!! Thanks Jonny for a great place where we could all be together!
We loved being able to get away with the family. There were enough beds to sleep my crew, and enough snow for sledding! We will be back in the summer for sure.
We’ve stayed at this cabin a few times now. The location is great and the cabin has plenty of space .
This cabin sits up on the hill with an awesome view of the lake. Marina access is right down the hill. Town is very close. We’ve stayed here are few times and love this place. The cabin has room for so many people! We’ll rent this again.
We had a great experience at Grizzly lodge. With six bedrooms and plenty of beds (including cribs), it fit a family of 23 very well. It was clean upon arrival and everything we needed, including the extra towels and linens. We especially loved the tire swing and hot tub. Only downside was the air conditioning and the steep driveway. AC didn’t work when we first arrived, so it was a little hot for a July summer day, but the owner was responsive and didn’t seem to have an issue the rest of the time. The view was amazing and the location near town was perfect. We would definitely stay there again!
We found out bed sheets were duty. They weren't had change. Leaving room was too dark. Kitchen was not very clean Other then that is a good house.
Great huge cabin perfect for winter or summer my family enjoyed their stay plenty of rooms and beds very cozy will definitely be coming back. Only bad thing I would say if you’re going during winter is the house is at the very top of the hill and the driveway is steep so you have to be very careful when going down. Other than that 10/10 would recommend.
Loved the home. Bigger kitchen would be nice but it was adequate. Parking was the only real problem but we figured it out.
