Bear Cabin-Gunning Cabin Rentals

The cabin was really cute and verry cozy, could not recommend this place enough! While we stayed at the cabin it had snowed a considerable amount overnight. The next day while leaving my girlfriend had taken the wrong turn and got stuck about 1.5miles down the road. Me not having any means to remedy the situation I made a hail marry call to the property owner at 8am to see if he could help. Sure enough he immediately came to the rescue with a bobcat and chains. I didn't expect him to even pick up the phone that early, but he went above and beyond to help us out. The stay was great, we loved the place, and I cannot thank them enough for getting us out of a pinch! I would give 6 out of 5 stars if I could!!

Private, clean, warm and cozy. The little hot tub was great! The sheep stopped by and gave us a good laugh.

This place was absolutely perfect!! Every detail imaginable was well thought out; from the heated bathroom floor, to the 2 person hot tub, to the little complimentary coffee machine and other sundries! What a joy this was to stay here with my 15 yr old son! Bed was comfortable as well, space was well decorated! Will stay here again for sure!

Our stay was magnificent. We loved the privacy! It's just enough off the beaten path, with easy town access. It was so nice to soak in the mornings and listen to the birds. The cabin was excellently furbished, and every attention to detail maintained. 10/10 would recommend.

One of the best places I've stayed in. Love this place. Fully stocked, great mattress, beautiful inside and out and the owners are very responsive and gracious. Definitely will be back.

Lovely location and the cabin feels private since the windows and deck face away from the main house and other cabin on the property. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We really appreciated that our dogs were able to come here with us and we hope to return soon!

The cabin was clean, quiet, secluded but still close to sights. We enjoyed our stay, we also had a moose visiter

This was the perfect place to start our Jacuzzi week on the Kenai. We started and ended our week here and it was perfect. Thank you so much! I will be sharing pictures around Valdez. We had a beautiful panoramic view at our rental in Homer but it wasn't as nicely prepared or cleaned as the Bear Cabin. Thank you!

This property was perfect for my spouse and I for a weekend get away. It’s quiet, peaceful, has everything you need and is better than the photos. The hot tub is perfect for 2, everything is super clean, the host was easy to communicate with and made our stay very comfortable and easy. We will definitely return again. Thank you!!!
