Very rustic, charming, and full of Midcoast Maine character, the living space is warm and welcoming after a day spent on the water. Step inside to find antique hardwood floors, recline on the plush blue sofa with one of the provided board games, and light the wood-burning stove to keep the coastal fog at bay.
Sip your coffee each morning on the wrap-around deck, where you can watch the sunrise over Linekin Bay to the east and see the open ocean to the south. Sit down with the newspaper at the bistro table or head back indoors to prepare breakfast in the kitchen - an eclectic space with a dining table and plenty of cookware for eggs, bacon, and pancakes.
Spend sparkling summer days in the great outdoors, wading in the cool waters, launching kayaks from the tidal beach, and preparing the gas grill for a local haddock and lobster lunch. Grab a seat on the deck just in time for sunset, and spend the evening with the comfort of WiFi and cable TV.
The bedrooms have exposed plank walls, a steady stream of natural light, and all the ambience of a country cabin.

Very peaceful pretty view of the water. The wood burning stove was not working properly, we tried many times with different wood. Without heat in the cabin, it was pretty chilly at night. The space heater was helpful, but the circuit breaker could only handle it and nothing else requiring electric at the same time!
It is a cute cabin but needs some serious maintenance. The entry slope would be improved by stepping stones along the very appropriate gravel path. It is a steep path and the stones can be slippery and awkward. The inside front door would benefit from a wipe-your-feet mat. The microwave, dishwasher and stove are nicely upgraded although we only used the microwave as we were just 2 and mostly ate out. There are 2 good heaters, one up and one down but they do not have fans so they do not heat up the larger spaces. Do heat a bedroom with door closed. Since there is no washer or dryer it is difficult to dry any clothing that gets wet in the rain or is washed by hand. I had to wash one bath towel by hand and it took 3 days to dry. Some clothing I hung very near the stationary heater and still took 2 days to dry. The house had been cleaned but only in main areas: Kitchen and bathroom and wood floors. Lower shelves, exposed wooden areas etc were very dusty and/or full of old spider webs, droppings, dead insects etc. There was nothing available to clean those spaces but paper towels. There was no entry instructions sheet posted nor notes for the house. When the breaker tripped as we tried to use the third heater for warmth we were able to find it and restore power but it was not marked. As many of the electrical outlets appear to be just on one circuit that should be noted. The shower is very difficult to regulate water temperature.
We had a lovely stay in this pretty well equipped cottage. Excellent location in this beautiful part of Maine. Great views and very comfortable.
Spent a few days in an adorable cabin that was very well appointed! We loved everything about it! Very clean and we had everything we needed! Would definately come back!
This was everything I’d hoped for! Rustic, cozy (with the wood stove), quiet, amazing views, close to the best little town of Boothbay Harbor. It was absolutely the perfect getaway!
Location is very rustic - just what we were looking for for a little getaway.
It was perfect for our family of four. Small and quaint. The view was beautiful!!
We love the cabin but were disappointed since our last visit. The double bed fell to the ground when I sat on it. Upon further investigation we found no slates under it. My husband put it back on the bedframe. Thede was a window with no glass and just plastic staped to it. Also the screen door had a hole in it that was there the last time we were there. 4 yrs ago. There were TONS of ants on the second floor. The cabin was clean when we entered and we loved the cabin life. The toaster was broken but maintenance delivered one immediately. The coffee pot was old and made terrible coffee. It, too, was same one 4 yrs ago which did work well then.
Sounds of the tide coming in and wonderful view. Early morning lobster boats pulling their traps. Well equipped cottage lose to everything we wanted
We loved this adorable cottage and amazing bay views. It was cozy and clean, away from the bustle of town but close enough to get to anything we wanted to do. The nights were chilly, but there are plenty of space heaters which helped keep us warm. The only complaint was that the mattresses were quite uncomfortable - newer, softer mattresses would make this a total 5 star stay.
We loved this house! The view, all the little knick knacks and vintage pieces placed around the house, it had a great vibe. Only two things detracted from our stay: the quilts and pillows need to be replaced due to stains and the smoke alarms need to be looked at. They started BLARING at 1230am for no apparent reason (we didn’t have a fire going at any point, so it wasn’t that) and they’re all wired together throughout the house so they were all going off and there was no way to shut them off. Thankfully, they stopped after a few minutes but then the same thing happened at 630am which jarred us awake again. Other than that, amazing house and we’d definitely stay there again.
