Stayed Oct 10, 2021Very peaceful pretty view of the water. The wood burning stove was not working properly, we tried many times with different wood. Without heat in the cabin, it was pretty chilly at night. The space heater was helpful, but the circuit breaker could only handle it and nothing else requiring electric at the same time!

Stayed Aug 12, 2025Charming, perfectly-imperfect cottage! Very welcoming and comfortable. Clean and accommodating. Truly a little piece of heaven on earth to listen to the ocean waters clapping the rocks just feet from the porch. The perfect location for easy visits to dozens of restaurants and entertainment, but tucked away that youd never know you were so close to popular attractions. Will definitely be back!

Stayed Jul 27, 2025First the good; the camp had beautiful views of Linekin Bay. We saw lots of wildlife and lobster boats pulling up their traps. The walk to Linekin resort was nice and we enjoyed a lunch and dinner there. The camp was located close to Boothbay Harbor and we enjoyed visiting there and the Maine Botanical Gardens. The not so good; the beach was very difficult to get to as the rocks were steep and somewhat slippery. It would be very difficult to get a small child or anyone with mobility issues down to the beach. The second beach on the left side we couldn't even find due to the various rocks we would've had to climb to get over there. Although the camp was very rustic, which was fine, the new windows on the first floor did not have screens so we could not get a cross breeze through the cottage which was disappointing. The couch was terribly uncomfortable and the only place to sit. The couch covering was not clean and therefore not comfortable at all. Upstairs the bathroom was tiny and difficult to maneuver. Also none of the bedspreads upstairs had been cleaned in a long time. We found several bugs on the double bed. All in all we made the best of it, but I think the camp itself could use a deep cleaning and possibly replace the couch. Also gates on the porch would be nice for small children and pets.

Stayed Jun 22, 2025Great location near Boothbay and right on the water with a deck with views across the bay. The sound of the tide coming in at night was dreamy. Watched a lobsterman tend his pots in the morning. Cottage is very clean and fully supplied with everything you need for a few days. It's not fancy but just what my friends and I were looking for. Comfortable for up to 4 people (3 bedrooms). The exterior needs obvious work and the grounds could be tidied up but it has enough charm to offset that! Jane from Rhode Island

Stayed Jun 5, 2025..the view but it was diminished by an old deck and overgrown trees and an old picnic table that took up most of that space

Stayed Jun 22, 2024The view is fabulous in this sweet little cottage. We loved looking out over the water watching the tide, birds, boats and ocean life. My husband and I had a lovely time for 4 days. A great place for a couple or very small family. The hiking, biking, local food and the beauty of the Boothbay Harbor are wonderful. If you like to cook, bring supplies, kitchen is minimally stocked.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We enjoyed our 2-night stay at the beach house. The owners did their best to make it comfortable and clean. Our dog had a great time on the beach and property. We loved sitting outside to watch the ospreys, sea ducks, and their babies. The night stars are extraordinary. Be aware this is a 1920s home so there are rickety floors, walls, and deck. It appears they have made improvements for comfort thus far. The price is quite steep with all the Vacasa fees for what we got. We expected more for the price.

Stayed Oct 2, 2023It is a cute cabin but needs some serious maintenance. The entry slope would be improved by stepping stones along the very appropriate gravel path. It is a steep path and the stones can be slippery and awkward. The inside front door would benefit from a wipe-your-feet mat. The microwave, dishwasher and stove are nicely upgraded although we only used the microwave as we were just 2 and mostly ate out. There are 2 good heaters, one up and one down but they do not have fans so they do not heat up the larger spaces. Do heat a bedroom with door closed. Since there is no washer or dryer it is difficult to dry any clothing that gets wet in the rain or is washed by hand. I had to wash one bath towel by hand and it took 3 days to dry. Some clothing I hung very near the stationary heater and still took 2 days to dry. The house had been cleaned but only in main areas: Kitchen and bathroom and wood floors. Lower shelves, exposed wooden areas etc were very dusty and/or full of old spider webs, droppings, dead insects etc. There was nothing available to clean those spaces but paper towels. There was no entry instructions sheet posted nor notes for the house. When the breaker tripped as we tried to use the third heater for warmth we were able to find it and restore power but it was not marked. As many of the electrical outlets appear to be just on one circuit that should be noted. The shower is very difficult to regulate water temperature.
