The property was in a great location to downtown Gatlinburg. The cabin is a part of the Black Bear Falls community. There is a pool available for guests that we did not use. We had a beautiful view of the mountains. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Plenty of plates utensils, and glasses and cups available. The 2 kids enjoyed the older nintendo system and the adults enjoyed the pool table on the lower level. All bathrooms had plenty of towels for use. Here are some things that could have been better. There are no closets in the bedrooms. Each one had a small hanging rod but no hangers were provided. There are dressers but some had pillows and other bedspreads in the drawers. Be prepared to live from your suitcase unless you bring your own hangers. Used the washer and dryer but the lint basket was destroyed. Filter screen was torn throughout.. Clothes catch on screen as you pull clothes from dryer. Our biggest issue was the description for the cabin does not describe the driveway to park your cars at the cabin. The driveway is 120 degree blinding incline turn to park your cars. You share that same driveaway turn with another cabin next store. There is no road mirror on the turn to see whether cars are coming down when you have to push power to get up the incline. 4 wheel or all wheel drive is recommended for that last incline even in the summer. We had a front wheel drive suv and if you don't power up correctly your tires loose traction.

It was nice being able to put four teenage girls in the lower level with two full baths, a game room and a deck that ran the length of the cabin with a Hot Tub. The adults enjoyed the upper level with two bedrooms with King Size Beds and separate full size baths. The family gathering room with a fireplace and huge windows was nice. It was relaxing sitting out on the deck which also ran the length of the cabin. We would certainly rent Appalachian Adventure again.

Getting up to this beautiful cabin was quite interesting! Thank goodness all our vehicles had 4x4!! When pavement was wet it was kind of scary! Parking says room for 2 cars, cars is correct. We had an Arcadia and an F150 and parking was very tight! Other than that the cabin was lovely and kids loved the pool table. We never did locate the Xbox remotes but they were plenty satisfied with the board games and pool table! Us adults loved sitting in the living room looking out at the great smokies! Bring yourself baby gates that extend wide if you have little ones! We struggled keeping the 2 year old away from the steps and a traditional baby gate wasn’t long enough. They did provide one that fit the doorway once down stairs which was wonderful. We would definitely go back!

Very homey and spacious place to be. There were 13 of us enjoying shared space as well as enough privacy. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The scenery was beautiful and felt like you were away from it all even though you could get to restaurants, stores and attractions in just a few minutes.

We loved the property, the house was nice but needed some attention. The master bedroom bed was broken and just propped up. We had to fix it before using it. The master bedroom bathroom toilet would not flush. The main level bathroom shower curtain was filthy and moldy. There was what appeared to be dried blood on the downstairs bedroom sheet. The can opener did not work.

Confusion with registration, mold on shower curtains, broken mattress in master bedroom, do not supply enough garbage bags, dishwashing soap, and horrible pots and pans. It does however, provide a beautiful view. But, not worth the price. Have stayed at nicer cabins with better ammenities.
