Amazingly comfortable and secluded Northwoods getaway

Tastefully decorated. Well equipped for sleeping, cooking, lounging around. Nice property with access to a small lake. This is our third time staying here. We love it!

The cabin was so nice and cozy. The windows on the main floor allow you to look at the surrounding trees from anywhere you're sitting. The kitchen is well stocked for with all the pots/pans/knives you might need for cooking and baking. There's plenty of blankets, and the king bed upstairs is luxurious. Felt very comfortable here and would love to stay again.

What a great house/cabin. So clean and welcoming both to us and to our dog. There was such thought and care that went into the decor and feel of the house. The woods were great for walks, though with the dog we didn't cover a lot of ground but we did stay out a long time! So much to sniff! We all had a great time.

Our stay at the Birch Cove Cabin was wonderful - the cabin is beautiful and stocked perfectly with all the necessities! We had a relaxing and enjoyable time! Thank you for keeping such a beautiful space for others to enjoy :)Our only suggestion would be to add to the check-in description that an AWD or 4x4 would be needed during winter travel months as we drove our car and were unable to make it up the driveway hill after a 2 snowfall during our stay, requiring a towing company to come and help us out.

We LOVED our NYE stay at this cabin. It snowed every day we were there and looked like a snowy wonderland. The fireplace and inside of the cabin space was so cozy, they added Christmas decorations which was a sweet touch. Everything was spotless. We loved walking the trails nearby. Overall an incredible escape in the woods.

Our second time staying at Birch Cove Cabin. Loved it even more than the first time! Beautiful surroundings on a quiet lake. Can take a peaceful walk on the road and feel like you’re in a thick forest. It’s such a gem. Close to Hayward and Spooner.

Such an adorable cabin in a beautiful location! It feels very secluded yet is just a short drive to Hayward. James (host) has thought of everything one may need, so many considerate little touches that made us feel so welcomed! The cabin is very clean & comfortable, & beautifully decorated. The kitchen has everything you need, bring groceries & you’ll be all set! We came in the fall, & loved having the use of the fire pit & fireplace to keep cozy & warm in the crisp autumn weather. The trees & lake view were absolutely gorgeous.We look forward to coming back!

Peaceful, nature noises, bald eagles flying low over the lake, no people close by, just the right size cabin for one or two, well stocked. Clean and inviting.

I have been here several times and it never disappoints! The privacy and quiet is amazing and the cabin is clean and comfortable! The screen porch is where I hang a lot! And the loft bedroom is perfect for reading, yoga and meditating and of coarse sleeping which is very comfortable! My dog loves the outside to run for her ball too! It’s my favorite place to get away!

Everything about this cabin is great. It’s secluded, quiet, and very well kept. We have zero complaints about our stay and will definitely be booking again!

This was the perfect getaway. The cabin was well equipped and roomy. We started our mornings enjoying coffee on the deck and screened porch. The seclusion is exactly what we needed. The only thing we saw on the lake were two beautiful swans. We hope to return next year.

My boyfriend his adult son our two golden retrievers and I stayed at the property to race Chequamegon. The location was perfect, just about 15 minutes to Hayward. The cabin was exceptionally clean and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. We would absolutely stay her again!

We rent a cabin on a lake every summer to relax and let the dog have some unbridled swimming fun. While this home does sit on a beautiful, secluded 10 acres of woods, with a perfectly placed fire pit and cords of split logs, overlooking a quiet, peaceful, lake, calling it a cabin seems inappropriate. We experienced instead, a very well appointed, immaculately clean, smartly decorated, home with comfortable beds, breathtaking views of the lake, and attention to detail rarely seen in any rental property, anywhere. We are so thankful to our hosts and Donna, the Property Manager, for making this experience truly magical. We will be back!

Very nice, clean, and beautiful cabin. This was the perfect place for our girls’ weekend as the view and location were amazing. We got to experience many fun activities in Hayward and surrounding areas. We will definitely visit again!

Nice cabin, large master bedroom! Super clean. Spent a lot of time in the screen porch, enjoyed the deck and fire ring as well. Very dog friendly. Saw swans and blue heron in the lake. Quick drive to Hayward to explore and use a great public beach.

My husband and I have been to this VRBO twice and will return. This place is so peaceful and secluded. The sunsets beautiful. To hear the breeze blowing through the leaves on the trees priceless. Jim checked in several times with us. Our sweet Golden Ivy came with too! A little slice of heaven in Hayward.

We really enjoyed our stay at Birch Cove Cabin. The house was spotless and had everything you might need to make your stay comfortable. The location is lovely and very secluded, allowing for long walks on the road and lazy evenings, reading on the screened porch. What a wonderful place to unwind and truly relax and decompress. The cabin has a simple layout, but the owner paid meticulous attention to every detail with decoration and pleasure of stay in mind. Beautiful and serene location. The cabin was clean and comfortable with a contemporary vibe . It was wonderful to watch the sunsets over the lake.

Even though the weather was rainy/cloudy for our entire stay, we still had an amazing time. The cabin is nice and secluded so you really get to be surrounded by nature. We even had a family of owls visit the trees right off the deck one night.

A very clean and quiet cabin! Had everything needed to make our stay pleasant including the cleanest grill ever. Contact with Manager and Owner was prompt even though the internet was spotty at best! Hopefully the internet will be more stable as resources grow in the area. Thank you for being pet friendly! We enjoyed ourselves and hope to return soon.

Great secluded cabin

The property is beautiful and perfect for time away from neighbors. Everything about the cabin has been updated and was clean for our arrival. We recommend this property for anyone wanting or needing to get away from the mundane hustle and bustle or daily life. We had a small issue during our stay but James was very responsive and eager to fix the problem. I believe this type of communication makes all the difference when staying at a rental. We would highly recommend this property to anyone. Also, they allow dogs and that was a major contributing factor when we were choosing a rental property.

Cozy outdoor firepit overlooking the lake, along with a cozy fireplace inside for the chilly nights. Kitchen fully stocked with everything you need and even has fun board games to play. This was a perfectly secluded spot for our winter weekend excursion and the cozy cabin provided fireplace warmth from the cold. We immediately felt at home as every detail was carefully considered from the furnishings to the amply stocked kitchen with plates, utensils and glassware for any style of cooking and imbibing. We explored the outdoors with our 3-year old Labrador Retriever who loved every minute of running and playing ball up and down the long driveway, and bounding through the snow on the frozen lake while we snowshoed. We return to this place once or twice a year. It's the perfect size for the two of us, but room for more with the finished basement. It's secluded enough to get away from everything, but close enough to downtown Hayward to pop in for a bite or cocktails (We recommend Out Of The Woods Winery). The cabin is pet friendly, which is a must for us. We'll keep coming back.

My husband and I just got home from our stay at this wonderful cabin. The home had everything you could need and then some. We loved the layout of the home, the decor, the extras that were provided and that it was pet friendly. We wanted a quiet cabin and that’s what we got but we were just a short drive away to Hayward for great dining, shopping, and hiking experiences. We are definitely thinking about coming back next year.

Birchcove is one of the most secluded cabin I have been to. James is an excellent host and answered all questions promptly. The cabin is neat and furniture is very cozy. Loved the hammock. Will definitely be back.

Our stay was wonderful and the cabin was beautiful. Well equipped for all your needs. The only thing negative was we couldn’t use dock to put kayak in lake because it was damaged. And personally I would have a TV on main floor also. Other than that it was amazing.

Truly, there is no better way to describe this place than an absolute paradise in the woods. The location Is completely private and has everything you could possibly want or need. It’s clean, the beds are comfortable, And there are so many things to do during your stay. We have stayed at many rentals over the years and cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is. The house is tastefully decorated and has everything you could need. No other houses are visible, so it is private, quiet and peaceful. So many different nooks to read a book and the porch has a lovely view of the lake. Sunsets were spectacular!

Every detail was considered, from the charming, elegant decor to dog treats on the counter to the hooks standing by for the hammock. We used every available, beautiful space for relaxation. We played games on the 3 season porch, ate on the deck, kayaked on the lake and watched the sunset from the swing. There is clearly so much love and thoughtfulness put into this retreat and we can't wait to come back!

My husband and I stayed with our 2 dogs for 3 nights. The cabin was even better than expected! Very modern, comfortable and quality furnishings while still maintaining a cabin-y feel. Plenty of extra amenities to make us feel at home. Loved the privacy of the property. Quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay again!
