We arrived to the cabin and were immediately met with some challenges the smoke detectors were going off and the furnace was not working. The owners responded quickly to resolve the smoke detector issue, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the furnace was beyond their control and could not be repaired during our stay.To help make us more comfortable, they provided additional heaters and even left us some thoughtful “I’m sorry” goodies. While the lack of a working furnace was inconvenient, we felt the owners did their best to accommodate us under the circumstances. Otherwise, no concerns and I would rent from them again. Great view and comfortable setting.

This is a nice cabin and location. The road up was a bit rough but worth the view. To our disappointment, there were three space heaters and the main cabin heat didn’t work. The lower bedrooms were extremely cold.

This rental was very cozy and inviting! Our favorite part was the porch with a gorgeous view! It was just my husband and I but 6 guests total would have had everything they needed. The patio had plenty of furniture for relaxing and a very nice outdoor dining set. We can see ourselves coming back with family or friends and enjoying the fire ring and gathering area as well. The host was very helpful and friendly.

We enjoyed a weekend away, in this 3 bedroom cabin. Beautiful sunrise/sunsets. Great outdoor space, enjoyed theback deck, hot tub & fire pit. Had fun playing games at the comfy dining table. Appreciate the timely reply from the host as we had a few questions throughout our stay.

There was a problem with the door lock that couldn’t be resolved, so Tammy upgraded us. Loretta literally escorted us to the new place.(It was dark so very much appreciated) the communication was immediate, and I feel that she went above and beyond to make sure my weekend with my daughters was wonderful! We have fantastic memories and both cabins were beautiful. The beds were comfy- hot tub great and the location was so convenient. If I could give more than five stars, I really would.

Rented this cabin last min for a quick getaway. Cute place but had some issues. Doors stick badly, difficult to lock. First night we woke up several times literally wondering if someone was in the cabin with us, unexplained noises. Second night woke to more noises by my head & in the kitchen. Once I turned my phone light I saw a mouse at my head on the night stand. This happened 3 times with one crawling on my husbands c-pap tubing. More in the kitchen, they tore into all food on the counter & in our bags. I had to dump mouse dropping out of my bags while unpacking at home. We found mouse dropping under the sink, under the trash bags in the cans where they were not even dumped, new bags placed on top. The property manager’s reaction was that a past renter mentioned “a mouse” in the basement & “well, if you left your food out”. It was inside, in the kitchen! They knew about the mice & still took our money. The gorgeous front porch with the view was not usable due to a cantalope sized active hornets nest on it. I sat up in the middle of the night recording a mouse just running around me downstairs. I’m not afraid of them but … i had messaged the property manger about a couple of things with no response. She finally messaged me back about the mice. Had to request a refund again the next day. Refunded 199.00 - one night refund not including any taxes or fees associated with it. Sad experience for us. On the plus side the hot tub is amazing.

This is a great place to stay if hiking the Red River Gorge area. It is very centrally located to most sites. The drive up is a little steep but nothing a decent car can’t handle. The cabin itself is very nice. Lots of outdoor seating, beautiful views and a hot tub! We would definitely stay here again with our family of three.

My husband and I stayed in Kentucky for our 5th anniversary (we're from Michigan). Biggest reason we went to Kentucky was the cave kayaking through SUP; it was a blast! Anyhow,About this place. The view from the balcony is ridiculously beautiful!! If you love nature, it's so peaceful and just perfect, you literally have a breathtaking view of the mountains. We both really enjoyed the hot tub. The bed upstairs was extremely comfortable! Very nice, quiet, and romantic setting!! Both of us were able to reset and we enjoyed our time. I'd definitely highly recommend staying here :)

The house and surrounding property is lovely, the view is amazing and peaceful. While we didn't use the firepit area, it is welcoming with seats and a swinging bench. The highway noises quickly became background sounds and were barely noticed. The master bed was very comfortable and the back deck was nice to relax on and read a book after a good day of hiking the Red River Gorge. Try Miguel's Pizza, down by Natural Bridge Resort Area - the vibe reminded us of White Duck Taco in Asheville and the pizza was outstanding. Don't underestimate the 3/4 mile road to get to the property - we had AWD in a crossover vehicle and did not have any problems. We got excellent hiking advice from Rita at the Powell County Visitor's Center.

This cabin was the perfect, cozy spot for our hiking adventures over the weekend. It was clean and the layout was ideal! The view from the back porch was gorgeous. Literally zero complaints other than service, even with WiFi connection was shotty which is understandable but def don’t expect to be able to watch TV. Luckily we had audiobooks during our downtime at the cabin.

Fun little cabin centrally located with easy access to all things gorge. The hot tub came in very handy after a long day of hiking. Kitchen is on the small side with limited counter space but sufficient for a short stay with a family of four. Upstairs bedroom is a loft, while the two smaller bedrooms are on the lowest floor. The loft bedroom is a consideration if your family wakes up at different times and some like to sleep in.

WASPS! First, this is a cabin in the woods, so a big/insect or 2 is to be expected. But we killed 7 wasps in our short less than 48 hours stay. And they were not small! Mentioned to the host and was only offered a can of wasp spray…but who wants to spray that stuff all around a bedroom and living/dining area? Aside from that, the gravel road leading to the cabin is tough and not called out enough/strongly in the ad. Some extra blankets would be nice since the downstairs bedrooms don’t heat up like the rest of the house. And additional seating in the living area - one couch wasn’t enough for 4 people to lounge. The views were great though!

Great space inside and on the decks and fire pit area. Loved the ease of the hot tub and cooking. Could use more signage/directions from hosts on how to get the cabin from the main road. Just using GPS brought us to the wrong cabin. We encountered several wasps, but they had clearly sprayed so they weren’t threatening. Nice location to get to hiking nearby.

The location/view is absolutely stunning! For our family of four plus a dog, it was just the right size. The home itself needs some work. Literally ALL night long the furnace rattled so we never got a good night's sleep. That was super annoying and frustrating. Most of the doors in the house were very difficult to close. Lastly, there was no can opener!!!

The property was a nice cabin for a family vacation. Had a couple issues but the host responded right away to fix the issue. The internet is a hot spot so not the best which is understandable because you are on a mountain. The road up to the cabin gravel and has a very steep incline. Downside to the house is theRe is only one very small bathroom

The cabin is on the side of a mountain and affords great views from the deck, we enjoyed seeing the sunset colors out there. The beds were very comfortable and the cabin was clean and looked recently built (or recently updated). We spent the days exploring Red River Gorge and returned in the evenings to cook nice dinners and enjoy the hot tub. As mentioned before, there are stairs up to one bedroom loft and stairs down to the other 2 bedrooms, but we navigated them just fine. I recommend this sweet cabin to all who like nature, great views and privacy! Enjoy!
