The room is 8x10, with a full-size futon, small desk, and charging ports for your devices. The homestead is fully off-grid, with a focus on sustainability for the hosts who live on site as well as all guests.
You will have access to a firepit, communal kitchen, bathroom with flush toilets, and hot water showers. One shower per person is included with your stay. Additional showers are $5.
360-degree views of the Big Bend night sky, freedom to hike and explore the property, and also close enough to both the National and State Parks to make the ranch your starting or ending point for the day.
Important Information: Please read
On site, there is a large water catchment pond that supplies the water for the ranch throughout most of the year, outside of drought conditions. There is absolutely no swimming in the pond as temping as it may be!
The majority of the year, the ranch and surrounding areas are dry, typically seeing our rainy season over the late summer months. In the event of any rain, the roads to and from the ranch become mainly impassable. The roads are primarily bentonite clay, which turns into a very thick mud when we receive rain, and it will cause cars, trucks, SUVs, etc. to get stuck. This warning is not to discourage you, but to make you aware of the event we receive rain before, during, or after your stay. In the event you cancel before your booked date due to weather, a full refund will be offered to you.
