Gatlinburg, Tennessee
The magnificent view of the Smoky Mountains from Always an Adventure is so mesmerizing that it may entice you to spend most of your time unwinding on its expansive decks. Nevertheless, if you do, you'll miss out on the fun of playing pool or air hockey in the game room, relishing a hot tub soak, and exploring the plethora of nearby attractions. Besides, with the newly added EV Outlet, Always an Adventure has become the perfect choice for travelers seeking an eco-friendly accommodation.
A spacious four-bedroom, four-bathroom lodge, Always an Adventure sleeps up to 15 people—and a pet or two as well. Three of the bedrooms, including the en-suite primary, feature king-size beds. The fourth bedroom includes a queen-size bed. What’s more, just off the den are twin-over-full-size bunk beds, and two of the home’s sofas open into beds for two. The variety of sleeping accommodations makes Always an Adventure able to host a family reunion, a church retreat, a wedding party or a couples’ getaway with ease.
Among the rooms where the group can hang out together is the main floor’s living room. With two well-cushioned leather couches and two equally comfortable armchairs, it offers plenty of seating. When you’re not watching a movie on the flat-screen TV with cable and Netflix you can play charades by the fireplace or admire the mountains through the French doors leading out to a deck.
Equally inviting is the downstairs den, which has its own TV and fireplace as well as plush seating. For a movie marathon or to watch the big game, head to Always an Adventure’s home theater, with its oversize screen. The roomy chairs are so pampering, you might want to relax here even when you’re not watching TV. Bring a book or your laptop to take advantage of the free Wi-Fi.
There’s plenty more to keep everyone entertained in the game room. Play a round of pool at the full-size pool table, plus there’s an arcade table, air hockey and skee ball. You might find yourself hoping for a rainy day simply so you have an excuse to stay indoors and play them all.
After a few spirited games of ping-pong or air hockey you’re bound to work up an appetite. Fortunately, Always an Adventure’s open, roomy kitchen is equipped with all the appliances, cookware, gadgets and tableware you’ll need, plus plenty of counter space and elbow room. One of the counters also serves as a breakfast bar that can seat four people, and the adjacent dining table seats six more. From Spring through Autumn, you might prefer to dine alfresco, either on the decks or at the porch’s picnic table. Not only are the decks covered, but they boast ceiling fans as well, so you can linger out there even during the height of summer. And just off the porch is a charcoal grill, for those who like to cook as well as eat outside.
Always an Adventure’s outdoor spaces include a patio with a fire pit. There’s nothing quite like gathering around a crackling fire beneath a star-studded sky, toasting marshmallows, sharing stories, and making memories that will last a lifetime. If you’re romantically inclined, you might want to luxuriate in the patio’s hot tub or snuggle on the deck swing, just the two of you in the silvery moonlight. The crickets and owls will provide nature’s serenade.
As you revel in the serenity, privacy, and beautiful scenery of Always an Adventure, you could easily forget that the lodge is within minutes of the area’s most popular attractions. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Bent Creek Golf Course and Climb Works, where you can zipline over the mountains, are no more than 10 minutes away. Less than 20 minutes away is the eight-mile trail of studios, galleries, and shops that is the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community. Only a bit beyond that is downtown Gatlinburg, whose attractions include SkyLift Park, home to the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America.
When you stay at Always an Adventure, you’ll never be bored. But thanks to pampering amenities such as a hot tub, as well as the glorious setting, you’ll also be able to relax and relish time with family and friends. Don’t miss out—make your reservation today.
Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. There was something for everyone to do. The cabin was well stocked. The location was private with a beautiful view of the mountains. Attractions were close to get to but not to close. The only suggestion that I have is to have a generator, battery operated lantern and/or candles. We lost electricity first night and part of a day. It was fine and pretended we were clamping out using our phones for light. Just for future stays. Also wish the jacuzzi was a little bigger but overall great cabin, location, stocked and lots to do. Thank you.
We had an amazing stay. Weather was perfect. The view from the cabin was incredible, loved it. Very nice place to stay.
Such a beautiful home secluded away from everyone. The view was spectacular. Just wish I would have booked it two weeks later when the leaves changed. Everything was clean and tidy and met most all expectations. I really liked the theater room, however couldn't get the surround sound to work and didn't see any instructions for using the 3 remotes we found in the room. Also liked the large family room upstairs where we could all talk and play games together. The couches are needing replacement however, they were very uncomfortable. In addition, there is no comfortable place to sit and read. There are no lamps, all lighting is ceiling-mounted fan lights. There’s no cozy reading nook at all. TV had no local news access, could not see local news or weather.
We had an absolutely amazing time! We would highly recommend this cabin! Our family loved it!
We booked this property because it was large enough for our whole group during our after wedding vacation with friends and family. We prefer places that are away from the city and this place was perfect for that! We never heard the road noise and we woke up to a gorgeous mountain vie w on the porch. When we first arrived we had an issue with the door lock but I called the help line and they instantly got us in to the lock box to the spare key. We loved that there was a master bedroom on the ground level so our mom didn’t have to use the stairs very much. The game and movie rooms on the ground level were also really nice and kept the kids occupied. Although we never tried out the hot tub we like that it was right next to the fire pit, so everyone could enjoy the outdoor space together. We saw a bear walking on the road leading to the house on our first day there, which we thought was pretty awesome. It was also nice having two master bedrooms upstairs and a third bedroom upstairs. The kitchen was well equipped and had plenty of space for the whole group to sit and eat, but our most time was spent on that porch…so relaxing! This property helped to make our trip perfect!
As decribed on VRBO as far as rooms, bathrooms and games. Excellent communication with mgmt company when we arrived and key code did not work. Disappointed it was never fixed while we where there, but made due with lock box key. Back 4 steps could use a railing as it and deck are extremely slippery when wet and our son fell and scrapped his back. Hot tub seats 2 adults comfortably, but not 4. This did not impact us as we spent more time in amazing basement game room, movie room and balcony porch. Kitchen had all we needed, since we also brought our air fryer. Definitely need to bring your own dish soap and washer pellets, 3 doesn't cut it for family of nine eating on dishes each night. Again, not things that would deter me from saying we thoroughly enjoyed outself and had an excellent time. We never saw a bear which we hoped for given how far out we were. Allow 35-45 min to get to Pigeon Forge, 1.5 hours to cades cove. Traffic in downtown areas and parking cost made me want to just stay at cabin.
Property is very isolated , big rooms and we enjoyed the theater room and game room. But lack basic amenities like toiletries ( only one napkin roll and toilet tissue ) , not very good for cooking as well. No coffee powder provided.
Peaceful
Few miles east of Gatlinburg, but not too far to make it inconvenient. Very nice property, comfortable bedding, well appointed, quiet setting. Highly recommended.
Not enough information or pictures. Property was not easy to get suitcases ,food and all belongings for a group 62– 75. Layout not given -no pictures of stairs outside and inside. Definitely for younger families not Seniors. We made it work but took a lot of time and planning of how to get everything up to the main floor. Also the bug zappers in the bedrooms were disconserrting as was there s bed big problem? We have rented from you many times and have 2more rentals this year in Great Britain but this is the first time that I feel the description does not adequately reflect the rent
Great place for a familt get-away. Ample space and comfy accommodations.
The area was beautiful, had a great time, but the house was not clean, especially the lower level and the master bathroom shower did not drain.
Off the beaten track but convenient to activities. Spacious. Private. Well appointed. Excellent floor plan for families traveling with small children.
WONDERFUL property and property management. So much to do without ever leaving. Everything was as described in the listing - minus the air hockey table - its currently being replaced. The setup of the bedrooms are fantastic, each room has its own wing if you will. One downstairs off the game room, next to the bunk beds. The master is upstairs on one side of the house and the other 2 bedrooms are side by side on the other. Once in the bedrooms, you wouldn't even know there were others in the cabin. There are NO TV's in the bedrooms - which honestly, I thought would be an issue at first. I like the sound low and and the soft glow of it, when I fall asleep - but I never once missed them. In fact, now I turn my TV off at home before going to sleep!! My only critiques would be: 1. They could use some more pots, pans, mixing bowls and serving dishes would be nice. We were there for 8 nights so we did a lot of cooking. 2. There isn't much storage room in the master suite for clothing. The closet isn't really a closet exactly and there is one small 6 drawer dresser along with a desk. Another dresser would be helpful. I would absolutely recommend this cabin to families that are going on vacation together. Enjoy!!! :)
We had a great time at your cozy cabin. It was so close to all the attractions!
We found and booked this cabin easily on line a few months ago needing some family time, quiet time and a re-charge. The pictures were very true to the beautiful home! None of us wanted to leave!!! I would love to book this cabin again! It was the most beautiful, quiet, relaxing vacation ever!!
Great trip and beautiful property. Checkin process is a little difficult because entry code isn’t released until checkin time but there is minimal cell service at the cabin to be able to refresh the website to get it. Everything else was perfect.
There were 8 of us, ages 13 - 54 and every one of us had a blast. The home is a little outside of town (about a 20 min drive to downtown Gatlinburg), but that's the way we wanted it. We were close enough to join in on the hustle & bustle when we wanted to, but when at the house we felt like we were in our own little world. The view was spectacular and there was plenty to do at the house to keep us busy. If there was an issue/question, we contacted the management company and they always answered the phone and were ready to help. Great vacation spot, we highly recommend it!
Wonderful property and views.
We had a great time, beautiful views, and something for all of us to do!
