A 2-bedroom cabin with a spectacular view of the Great Smoky Mountains, Alpine Windsong is a delight to come home to after an action-packed day. Not only are the surroundings stunning and serene, but the cabin itself is a haven of calm and comfort. Every element of the home, from the outdoor hot tub to the deck rockers to the gas fireplace, encourages relaxation.

Located in Gatlinburg’s private Cobbly Nob neighborhood—itself set within a 1,000-acre resort—Alpine Windsong has a back deck that stretches the width of the house and looks out over dense woodlands toward the Smoky Mountains. Enjoy your morning coffee while kicking back on one of the rocking chairs or the log swing; you’ll be in laid-back vacation mode before you know it! Cook kabobs or fresh-caught trout on the gas grill—the fresh mountain air is an ideal seasoning—and then savor your meal out on the deck too, at the patio table. And luxuriate in the outdoor hot tub while wrens and swallows serenade you in the daytime or owls and whip-poor-wills sing you a lullaby at night.

French doors open from the deck into the living area, so that you can gaze out at the woodlands and feel the breeze even while stretched out on the new—and fabulously comfortable—sofa, love seat, or rocker recliner. If you can tear yourself away from the view, watch a movie on the 48-inch flat panel TV with cable and Netflix access or surf the web courtesy of the free Wi-Fi. And especially after a day on the ski slopes, you’ll love warming up by the gas fireplace in its stacked-stone surround.

When you don’t want to dine on the deck, you can all gather around the indoor dining table, which seats 6. Likewise, you’re not limited to cooking on the gas grill. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, cookware, tableware, and even a dishwasher.

Alpine Windsong has 2 bedrooms, with a split bedroom design, a layout that provides welcomed privacy. The primary bedroom, located near a full bathroom, has a king-size bed, a flat-screen TV, and a ceiling fan to lull you to sleep. This bedroom also has direct access to the deck, so you can enjoy a romantic glass of wine by moonlight before turning in for the night. The second bedroom features 2 queen-size beds, another flat-panel TV, and an en-suite bathroom with a jetted tub—just the thing after a day of hiking or biking the trails of the nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Among the cabin’s other amenities are a washer and dryer (here’s a chance to return from vacation with a suitcase full of clean clothes!), a stereo system, and free long-distance calls throughout the U.S. and Canada. Another of Alpine Windsong’s amenities is off-site: free access to Cobbly Nob’s 2 pool areas in the summer.

Just a mile away from Alpine Windsong is the award-winning Bent Creek Golf Course, designed by legendary golfer Gary Player. Only slightly farther afield are the restaurants, shops, and amusements of downtown Gatlinburg; the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Loop, an 8-mile trail of more than 100 galleries, studios, and craft shops offering everything from stained glass to chainsaw art; and Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area. And no trip to the area would be complete without exploring—by foot, by bike, on horseback, or by car—the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

No matter how you spend your days, you’ll relish returning to the pleasures of Alpine Windsong. Experience its calm and beauty for yourself. Make your reservation today!

*Please Note: Due to the mountainous terrain of the Smoky Mountains and the surrounding area, guests are required to arrive in a high-profile vehicle equipped with All-Wheel Drive or Four-Wheel Drive during the winter season and strongly recommended to do so year-round. Access roads leading to some of our properties may include narrow roads, gravel, and/or paved surfaces, and steep grades.*

Beautiful country mountain cabin. Have you a cozy, home away from home feeling. Well kept, and clean.

First time in the Gatlinburg area and because of our stay in this cabin, we will be back, hoping to stay in the same place! The views were spectacular and the cabin was beautiful and comfortable

We really enjoyed our stay. The house has an incredible view of the Smokies! We had two young bears visit one night, and we had a heck of a wind storm (that damaged the property) one night too. Suggestion would be to include more kitchen dish towels (we had one for the week) and more bath towels.

We had a relaxing time at Windsong. Gorgeous view, weather hot and humid. One suggestion, the grill would be used more if it were on the deck. Grilling fumes attract the bears. Lots of bears in your neighborhood.

Everything is as pictured. Views are spectacular. Cabin has a rustic feel to it. Very comfortable and cozy. Location was great, not far from town and has food market nearby if needed. Household cleaning supplies is supplied for but a minimum. Just be aware that cabin is tucked up in the mountain so it is quite narrow, steep, and have curvy sharp turns. Highlight of our trip came from staying at the cabin. We had a Mama bear and her 3 cubs visited right in the backyard. Check in, check out process is at your fingertip, very easy.

Our family of 4 (2 teenage boys) had a great stay at this cabin. The best part was the view from the back deck. Wow! The neighborhood was quiet. We had plenty of room to spread out. The cabin was clean and had all the kitchen items we needed to cook a few meals. We enjoyed Dollywood and white water rafting both within a half hour of the cabin.

Gorgeous views but very outdated facilities. The cabin is located at a very sharp and extremely steep portion of the mountain. Upon first look, it’s absolutely gorgeous. The facade is beautiful with front and rear facing windows that display the Smokies and the forest in all of their glory. However, once settled in the age of the cabin becomes very apparent. The kitchen was from the bygone era of the 80’s perhaps even the 70’s- especially the refrigerator. The faucets were definitely from the 80’s. My daughters had no idea that they had to pull on the sink faucets to turn them on! The shower in the bathroom nearest the laundry room had mold on the shower curtain. The washer and dryer were loud and instructions should have been left for use. The water heater only allowed for two uses before the hot water ran out. We had to stagger our showers in order to take warm baths. The larger bedroom must not have been insulated well. It was freezing during a mild winter day. Towards the end of our stay a winter storm blew through and the power went out. The gas fireplace and the gas grill were the only things that worked and got us through the storm! The stove was electric as was the water heater mentioned above. I don’t think the cabin is aired as much as we thought. We kept getting bitten by something. Overall, we had a great time. The view was phenomenal! The back porch was the highlight of the cabin. That is what is keeping this cabin alive. The cozy feel definitely lended to a familial ambiance. While most of the stocked items (I.e. the pots, pans, bathroom towels) were the bare minimum we still had most of what was necessary to get through our stay. Also, the rental office had extremely competent and accommodating agents. They were very helpful when we decided to extend our stay only hours after booking. Their after hours call service was also knowledgeable. We had trouble with our door code upon our arrival. The after hours call center had the issue resolved in less than ten minutes. Overall, the cabin is beautiful. The views even better. Our family made wonderful memories. We will definitely book through VRBO and Jackson Mountain Homes again but I will make sure to find a more updated/modern cabin.

This cabin was the getaway we needed. Had beautiful views of the mountains and the stars. The only thing missing was a way to make smores. I do suggest if cooking bring a sharp knife. The ones provided are dull. We hope to return next year.
