Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. A few notes for improvement: as it had snowed prior to our visit, there were some roads that were impassible without 4WD/AWD. We had to help some folks who were stuck (front wheel drive VAN no enough traction). It would be prudent to not just recommend a route for traffic purposes, but specify mandatory vehicle requirements and best route for snow.The unit as well is best heated by only using the lower heating unit; close the mid floor vents and turn off the upstairs heat. Everything goes up from the lower floor. Otherwise, the bottom floor is freezing and the top is baking.

No games, books etc for kids to play with and very basic amenities like one extra roll of toilet paper per bathroom , 1 paper towel, no salt, pepper etc. few towels which had be constantly needing to wash. Management was great and very easy to deal with

And worth a cockroach in the upstairs bed. Did not find Airbnb nor elk Springs to do anything about any problem that we had the dryer didn’t work correctly, the sink in the basement didn’t have cold water and the hot tub needed repair and when my bag was unintentionally left there, of course no one found it however, it was the only place that we stayed. Housekeeping apparently feels what they find is theirs.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The check in was easy, upon entering the cabin it appeared clean but definitely needed some dusting and window cleaning. We all got together for Superbowl weekend and right in the middle of the game the roof started leaking water right in the middle of the kitchen and the fireplace stopped working, this was Sunday we checked in two days prior on Friday. The response was quick and the fireplace was fixed but the roof had to be seen by a contractor. There was also a cabin nearby being worked on and it was kinda loud. Towards the end of the trip I was sent a text message with a deal for another night so I reached out to customer service because although the response to our issues was prompt I still feel like something should have been done about the inconvenience. I never heard back from anyone, which I am very disappointed about because I am a return customer and I also brought future customers with me on this trip.

The pool table corner pockets were damaged. But was still able to play pool.

Definitely washed all our dishes we used before we used them. The cabinets and drawers had crumbs in them. The water pressure is like a trickle. Not super kid friendly. Overall it was a good stay. Just a few little things.

The cabin was clean and there was plenty to do within to keep the kids entertained and allow the adults to relax. The kitchen was well stocked with tools we needed to feed ourselves during our stay. I was so impressed with Elk Springs communication and responsiveness about check in/out, and the ease of being able to text with questions about the property and have a prompt response. They went out of their way to make sure we had a nice time. My only regret is no booking a longer stay. We will definitely be back.
