The main floor is an open inviting floor plan consisting of the living room, dining area, kitchen, and full guest bathroom. Off the living room is a full-length lake view covered porch with two tables and eight comfortable chairs. Inside, there's plenty of seating for everyone to gather, with a sofa, love seat, dining table for six and a breakfast bar for three. The well-equipped kitchen features stainless appliances and plenty of granite counter space,
Upstairs is the Master Bedroom with private bathroom. Enjoy a luxurious queen size bed, television, large dresser so you can comfortably unpack, and plenty of closet space. The Master Bath has an amazing claw foot tub, separate shower, and oversized sink. Just outside the Master Bedroom is a loft area with another queen size bed. This area is not as private, but it does offer that handy additional sleeping area.
The lower level features two guest rooms, full bathroom, and laundry area. One light and bright lower level guest room has a queen size bed, dresser, closet, and sliding glass doors to the lower patio. The second lower level guest room has a bunk bed with a full-size lower mattress and a twin upper. So, just imagine the flexibility of sleeping arrangements. This room also has sliding glass doors to the lower level patio. Just steps from the bedrooms is a large guest bath and a stackable washer and dryer.
The full length covered lower level patio with access to two bedrooms is very convenient to come-and-go to the boathouse and water. From the patio are wood steps with hand rails leading to the boat slip with both side deck and large rooftop deck. The side deck makes it easy to launch the canoe and has a step ladder into the water. The rooftop deck is equipped with four lounge chairs plus a table and four chairs. Plenty of room for everybody!

NC VACATION RENTAL STANDARDS
First, be aware that the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act provides you with certain rights and protections. Second, we would like to make you aware of a few local regulations designed to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY LIMITS: The maximum occupancy limit for this home is 8 persons. You must provide us with the number of people and vehicles in your group. Violation of occupancy rules are grounds for immediate eviction with no refund, and fees will be charged to your credit card to cover any damages.
DESIGNATED PARKING: Vehicles must be parked only in designated areas on the vacation rental property. Parking in the roadway blocking the flow of traffic and parking on neighbor's property without permission are prohibited. Contact your rental's property manager for offsite, overflow parking options. There is parking for ONLY 2 vehicles at this property. No RV's trailers, campers, or oversized vehicles of any kind.
ACCESS: You will receive directions and access information once we have received a signed rental agreement securing reservation (this agreement will be sent to you for electronic signature) you will also need to provide a copy of your government issued ID to our company with current mailing address and contact information along with vehicle registration of each vehicle that will be at the home during your stay. You will be emailed check in instructions 24 hours prior to arrival provided you have signed your electronic rental agreement and sent in a copy of your photo ID and vehicle information. If you go to a property prior to approval from our office before check in time you will be accessed an early check-in fee $50.
TRASH DISPOSAL: All household waste & trash must be placed in receptacles considered to be animal proof (e.g., durable with secured lids) when available unless advised otherwise due to increased bear activity.
MINIMUM AGE: You must be at least 25 years of age to reserve a rental property and sign this lease and must also be a guest at the property during the entire term of the stay. You must present a valid government ID at time of check in. If you are not 25, you will NOT be allowed to check in and no refund will be provided.
NO HOUSE PARTIES: We do not accept reservations from sororities, fraternities, spring-break parties, bachelor / bachelorette / wedding parties, graduation parties, or ANY similar groups unless approved at time of reservation. Mr. Lake Lure Vacation Rentals works very closely with local law enforcement to patrol our rental homes, and report to us any occupancy violations. Any violation of this rule mandates you immediately vacate home without refund, regardless of the remaining duration of your reservation.
FIRE PROTECTION FOR YOUR SAFETY: Fire Extinguisher and Evacuation Plan -This home is equipped with working fire extinguishers and a posted evacuation plan. Removing any of these from their designated location is prohibited. Avoid storing items not to block hallways, doorways, steps, entrances and exits. Small Outdoor Fires - When an area burning ban is in effect, bonfires are prohibited. Contact your rental home's property manager for information on any burning bans. Outdoor fires are only permitted in a place and manner approved by the Fire Chief.
LAKE ACTIVITIES: Swimming: Do not swim farther than 50 feet from shore unless accompanied by an observer in a boat.
Fishing: A North Carolina fishing license is required, and all state fishing regulations apply.
Boating: If a boat is provided with this rental home, please ask for and review the pamphlet entitled “Lake Regulations & Map”. If you wish to utilize your own boat on the lake, a permit is required and can be obtained at Town Hall or at the town marina.
PERSONAL CONDUCT: Trespassing - Venturing onto a neighboring dock or pier, boat house or property without the owner's permission is prohibited.
NO SMOKING: Smoking is prohibited in all our vacation rental homes. You will be accessed an additional cleaning fee if it is discovered you have been smoking in the home of $500. We ask that all smokers stay a minimum of 10 ft from any open window or door, do not stand near open doors or windows allowing smoke to enter the home while smoking on property. Please make sure butts and ashes are not left behind. Discard the butts and ashes in the outside garbage. Do not throw butts on the ground (including the fire pit) or bring them into the home. If there is any tobacco smell in the home after your departure, there will be a minimum $500 charge. Oil lamps and incense are not permitted due to the long-lasting odor. If these policies are violated, there will be a charge for excessive cleaning.
NOISE: Unreasonably loud noise is prohibited throughout the Town. Please observe quiet hours after 10 p.m. and be aware that sound carries very far over a still lake.
UNRULY BEHAVIOR: Behavior deemed disorderly and causing a disturbance to the public is prohibited. These regulations will be strictly enforced.
PETS: Pets are NOT ALLOWED in this home. If you are found to be in violation of this rule you will be required to vacate the property and forfeit the remainder of your stay. You will also be accessed a fine of $500 for the violation. No refunds will be given!
RENTAL AGREEMENT AND TOTAL BALANCE: You will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement before your reservation is secured. Your total amount listed on the Mr Lake Lure® Vacation Rental Agreement may be different than the amount paid to the 3rd party site you book through. All third-party sites charge differing amounts as service fees to guests for using their services. We have no control over those fees and do not collect them.

CHECK OUT: 10:00 a.m. local time (or earlier) NO EXCEPTIONS. Housekeeping will arrive very shortly after 10:00 a.m. to prepare the home for the next Guest. Late check-outs will be charged the applicable daily rate or $50 per hour, whichever is greater to the credit card on file if the home has not been vacated by 1:00 pm.
ALL PROPERTIES OFFER AN INITIAL SUPPLY OF THE FOLLOWING AMENITIES:
(including, but not limited to): bed linens and bath towels (2 bath towels and 2 wash cloths per Tenant, 2 hand towels per bathroom sink), dishwasher detergent (2 loads) and dishwashing soap, sponge, laundry detergent (2 loads), hand soap, (1 set per bathroom sink, including hotel size: 1 bar of soap, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner and 1 lotion), paper towels (1 roll), toilet paper (2 rolls per bathroom), and garbage bags (2 kitchen bags, plus 2 black bags). If you don't feel this will be adequate for your stay, you will want to stop and pick up more on your way. All properties provide fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, including coffee makers as well as some cooking utensils. Locked pantries and closets are reserved for the use of the Property Owner and are not accessible to Tenant. Rearranging furniture or removing any items from the Property is prohibited.
ITEMS YOU WILL/MAY WANT TO BRING FOR YOUR STAY:
Extra folding chairs, beach towels, shampoos/ body soaps, hair dryers, basic cooking condiments, tin foil, plastic wrap, food storage containers, coffee, board games, fishing poles & tackle, floats, life preservers for toddlers/infants, golf clubs.
*** Lake Lure will be undergoing a drawdown starting January 1st, through the first quarter (March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet has been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. No personal watercraft will be allowed on the lake during this time. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. We had a great time at the Simple Life cabin. It was cozy for our big family but we enjoyed being lake front and so close to shops and hiking trails. There is also a grocery store nearby (with a Starbucks) which was convenient!
It was a really nice quiet getaway on the lake. Close to everything but far enough away to enjoy the tranquility. Really easy check in and check out process. Had a great time!

We had an amazing stay! The property was perfect for our two families and everything was set out and ready for us when we arrived. We can't wait to come back, so many memories made on our long weekend.
House was great for the family! Dock was also great and it was nice to have the paddle boat, and kayak to use. House could have been cleaner when we arrived. One issue which must have happened before we got there with a leak under sink, but I called and Maintenance was quick to respond and get it fixed. Mattress in upstairs bedroom was very uncomfortable and lumpy. BUT, I would still recommend the house for a fun visit!
Great location. Property could use some TLC and deep clean. Outdoor grill was not working, but the property manager was quick to deliver a charcoal grill to us. Need bear proof trash containers.
Spent several enjoyable days at this clean and inviting home. The Lake was the key draw and having a spacious outside patio with easy lake access made the stay perfect. House was very clean with easy check-in process. Some minor improvements such as a two person kayak (or two kayaks) and two paddleboards for guest use would have been helpful. After all, most folks are here for the lake activities. Regardless, these are minor items and we knew this beforehand. Would recommend the home.
Overall, our stay was great and we really enjoyed this home & Lake Lure! Check-in was easy and seamless & the property was just as described. We had 2 families, so the layout was perfect with one family staying upstairs and one downstairs in the lower level. We especially enjoyed the dock and easy water access with the paddle boat & canoe in the lovely cove with a beautiful view. The kitchen was nice & functional for making meals but do pay attention to what is listed that they provide and how much so you are prepared. The grocery is just a quick drive away so you can grab what you need if you've forgotten anything. Bear-resistant trash cans would be helpful. Because bears are so prevalent you are asked to keep all of your trash inside until check out. By the end of our stay, we had several bags of trash lying around the home and in our living area. There isn't anywhere inside to put it that isn't in the way and it was less than ideal. Make sure to check that the grill has been cleaned well enough before you use it. One night we were grilling dinner and the entire grill went up in flames – we had to use the fire extinguisher to put the fire out. Regardless of the above, we truly enjoyed our stay, recommend it to others, and would stay here again!

We had an amazing time. Went to grocery store as soon as arrived. We were able to rent a boat had it delivered to the dock. We were able to stay at the property and just enjoy the accommodations. We brought some rafts and card games. We didn’t need to leave. Was just what our group need laughs, rest, and relaxation. Would recommend 10/10.
House was prefect our group of 6. Great views of the lake and mountains and plenty amenities.
Everything was wonderful. Property was great, lake was beautiful, they even had plenty of floats canoes and kayaks for our large family. Only feedback I’d give is that we had a party of 8 for 4 nights and they only gave us tiny soap for the shower, a very small amount of shampoo and half a role of paper towels. Be sure to bring your own. Kitchen was not very well stocked either so we bought a wine key and left it for future guests. Other than that small criticism it was a great stay!
We loved the house. Spent most of our time on the dock enjoying the water and the lake toys that were provided. The house had everything we needed and was suited well for our group.
This is our fourth time staying at this property. The cabin is cozy and works well for our family of six. We enjoy being just off the main lake in a cove. We swam, floated, and paddled all week long. The evenings were spent eating on the porch and relaxing while admiring the view from the upper dock. Lots of fun hiking, shopping, and eating out in and around the area as well. It was a wonderful week at the lake!
We booked this weekend after our daughters graduated from hgh school and college on the same weekend. We needed time to decompress and relax. The lake house was perfect. We could come together on the back deck or boat deck for morning coffee or meals or find our own little corners to relax and read a book. We hiked, kayaked and swam off the dock. Very relaxing!

Great cabin! Wish the dock lights worked but otherwise we had a phenomenal week!
Cabin seemed a bit run down. Rugs were dirty and stove dirty. Time for some tlc. Deck on house and over lake had many nails poking g up and non slip strips falling off. Tripped on one day one. Beds nice and clean and comfortable . We enjoyed our stay but probably would not return. Parking was an issue. And if your a car sick person stay away . Roads narrow and very curvy. Hope the owners put some tlc into it for the future.

Property was beautiful. Clean, well kept. Beds comfortable. Weather was wet, cool. The TV and internet sevice were basic at best. TV needs an upgrade. Necessary when weather is bad.
We enjoyed the house & the dock made the experience so easy to get on and off the lake!
