Pros:The view of the Smoky Mountains was absolutely beautiful, and the air conditioning worked great—both made the stay more comfortable.Cons:Unfortunately, the cabin had a number of issues. Many things were in disrepair or outdated. The Xplorie “free” benefits were misleading and not worth the mention. The gas grill was so loose it felt unsafe to use, so we didn’t. One of the more serious concerns was the flooring around the basement tub/shower—it was soft and spongy, likely from water damage. The cabin itself felt very dated, and every mattress was noisy and uncomfortable, with a plastic-like covering. After arriving, we were surprised to learn that none of the Bear Camp cabins have ice makers—something that would’ve been helpful to know ahead of time. We also couldn't unlock the door leading directly to the hot tub. On top of that, the bath towels provided were very thin and small, and the lighting throughout the cabin was poor, with several fixtures either flickering or not working at all.

We used this cabin as a meeting point with our young adult children. The kitchen was well stocked to make a Thanksgiving meal. The bedroom layouts allowed almost all to have their own room and the room with the bunks was large enough for two adult males to share. They enjoyed the pool table, arcade, hot tub, and large TV screens. The view was spectacular. Parking was flat and it was easy access to the Parkway.

Cabin was as described and views were breathtaking. Plenty of room to spread out and loved that there was dual air conditioning settings on the bottom and second floors. Management company was thorough and answered all questions. I did give this a five star rating but I do have a few suggestions…speak to your cleaning crew about cobwebs on light fixtures, replace or refinish the chairs on the bottom deck, and definitely fix the flooring surrounding the tub in the bottom floor bathroom. It looks as though there may have been a temporary fix with the wood piece adjacent to the tub but the floor is discolored and has a lot of give to it.

Cabin was as described. Had a few issues with a couple lights and no internet service for the entire stay which meant no tv. Plenty of room for everyone to stay comfortably

The cabin showed some wear and tear which means it has been loved. However, there were a few things that were frustrating. The toilet in the basement stopped flushing, so in order to flush it we had to do it manually. The microwave was hanging off one of the hinges, so it made opening and closing a pain. The overall cleanliness of the cabin was minimal. There were dust and cob webs in some of the corners throughout the house. Just made it feel like cleaning wasn’t a priority. The beds also were very noisy. You could hear every movement each person made from every floor of the house. Very disappointed that I paid a lot of money for the stay, and didn’t have the home away from home experience we wished for.

This property is located high enough in the community that we had unobstructed views of the beautiful mountains. Home itself was very clean, warm and inviting.
