This cabin is very cozy and comfortable. It gives wonderful forest vibes. The only issue is that we went on a weekend where the weather was in the upper 90s-lower 100s and this place doesn’t have central AC. After booking, I noticed the listing said nothing about having AC so I reached out to the host. She confirmed there was no central AC but the cabin is equipped with two portable AC units. The units were off upon our arrival so we entered into a 97 degree cabin (thermostat reads current temperature). It was very difficult to cool it down but we slept that night and woke up to it being 82 degrees inside that next morning. We kept the AC units and fans on all day and all night but they could not keep up with the heat during the day. The next day it still reached 88 degrees inside with everything still running. By around 10pm, it finally cooled down enough to maybe sleep with a very light sheet. We had to check out a night short of our reservation because the heat was taking too much out of us. Our dog was constantly panting and started looking a little lethargic so we thought it was best to leave early. I wouldn’t give this place a bad review, just maybe don’t book if the weather is above 80-85 degrees. Everything else was wonderful. We were given a complementary bottle of wine as well as a s’more’s kit to use in the fire pit. It’s a beautiful cabin and I would definitely come back, but perhaps only in the fall or winter. Not sure what the heating situation is, but definitely in the fall.
