Cherry Log, Georgia
Located in the heart of The Aska Adventure Area, this cabin is an ideal basecamp for thrill-seekers and explorers, with its close proximity abundant outdoor activities like hiking, biking, tubing, fishing, tubing, kayaking, gem mining, and fishing.
Situated on 12 private acres and adjoined by 50 acres of US National Forest, Aska Stargazer has abundant space to stretch out, relax, and immerse in the rejuvenating effects of a natural retreat.
Enjoy gorgeous mountain views from almost every room, a two-story deck, a screened in porch with a gas fire pit, and a rocking chair front porch overlooking the Chattahoochee National Forest adjacent to the property.
After a long day on the river, unwind in wind in the living room with an expensive wall of windows overlooking the view of the mountains, a wood-burning fireplace, 55 inch Roku smart TV, and a telescope for sky watching on clear nights.
Once the sun goes down, explore the stunning starry night sky as it can only be seen from Aska Stargazer with our house telescope or from the upper deck lounge chairs.
Your inner chef will be delighted to spend time in the fully equipped kitchen with bar seating for two. After whipping up a feast gather around the dining table that comfortably seats at six or eat under the stars on the patio table.
Escape for the night to one of three bedrooms. The main level king bedroom includes a reading nook and ensuite bathroom with jetted soaker tub, a separate shower, and French doors that open to the upper deck. One guest room includes a one-of-a-kind king-sized laurel canopy bed with string lights and the other has two sets of bunkbeds the kids will love.
The lower level bonus room is where the fun begins! It includes a 65” Roku Smart TV, ample seating, a wet bar with a mini fridge and a Keurig, a shuffleboard table and games. There is also a music corner to expand your entertainment options if you are musically inclined: a Donner electric weighted-key piano and a guitelele (small sized guitar).
There are two levels of decks overlooking the long range Mountain View. The upper deck has a propane grill in an outdoor dining area; the lower deck has ample seating, hammock swing chairs, café string lights, corn hole, and a new six person Nordic hot tub with an ozone system.

Guest review:
“Nearly the entire time outside all you can see and hear are sights and sounds of nature, the gentle breezes… whispering through the trees, the birds so happily gathering their food and flittering to and fro, the blue mountains seen from miles away, the deer frolicking out back, the swallow-tails swooping… the many stars and constellations unspoiled light pollution at night.” -Michael D.

Guest access
Guests of Aska Stargazer have the entire cabin to themselves for the duration of their stay.
Things to consider:
-Aska Stargazer is equipped with security cameras that face away from the cabin at the front door and parking area.
-Access to this property is via an inclined gravel drive. You might be nervous driving on this surface the first time or two, but you get used to it quickly. AWD is recommended and will make it easier, but not required, and there are alternative routes.
-We recommend arriving during daylight the first time, if possible, as there are no street lights on the gravel drive. However, there is landscape lighting that automatically comes on at dusk around the home itself.
-Our cabin is in the woods in the mountains, home to wildlife of many kinds, and critters of the four or more legs varieties. We have regular pest control, and, within reason, we are glad to send them out between regular visits if you see anything you are bothered by.
We had a great stay at Aska Star Gazer. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with plenty of utensils, and the hot tub had fresh clean water in it. Thanks for a very nice stay!
Overall the cabin was wonderful. We had some issues with appliances, but things were managed well. We enjoyed lounging around, playing games, enjoyed stargazing from the hot tub and our stay was relaxing. Which was our goal.
The house had a gorgeous view and was very clean. Plenty of towels, toliet paper, trash bags, etc. Beds were comfortable and lots of extra blankets for the chilly evenings. Owner provided directions on how to use the grill, fire pit, and hot tub. We will definitely stay there again.
Property is secluded and has amazing privacy, the house is well equipped with everything you could need during your stay, the directions on how to use everything in the house are very thorough. 15 minutes from downtown blue Ridge which is a mountain town gem. Close by to great hiking for all experience levels. Top notch host and easy to communicate with. Would recommend to anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy nature.
We enjoyed this home. Everything about it was outstanding. A beautiful home with a beautiful view.
We had a fantastic time in this beautifully decorated, well appointed and very clean cabin. They have thoughtfully included everything that you could possibly need, and then some. We will certainly be back!
Quiet place for long weekend away
Cabin met every expectation. Getting there was a little problem But it was not bad. We have been staying at cabins for about 30 years. This was definitely was one of our top 5. My wife found only three things that would have made her stay perfect. A garbage can in the main bathroom upstairs, inthe half bath and a cheap makeup mirror. Great time!
