We loved this cabin!!! So comfortable & had everything we needed for possibly being snowed in!! Loved the hot tub & current privacy (building coming soon on both sides). Close to everything. Loved the general store down the road, too!

We’ve rented many cabins in the pigeon forge area, this by far is our favorite! Extremely nice, well equipped with everything we needed. Nice amenities, quiet peaceful neighborhood. The hot tub wasn’t working right when we first arrived but the host had a tech come out and had the problem fixed in no time. Extremely appreciative, this cabin is definitely at the top of our list and will probably be our go to from now on

The Gathering Place was an amazing cabin with all the necessities you would need. The rooms were spacious and updated. Decks had amazing views and we even had a mama bear and her cubs visit us daily in the evenings. We highly recommend this property!!! We will definitely be returning.

The cabin was great, had plenty of room for our family of 4. It also had everything you could imagine or think of that you would need in a house/cabin. The beds were great as well as the towels and linens. Overall, the cabin itself was amazing. The location is definitely not one that I would recommend to anyone who is not used to driving mountain terrain (definitely not in snow/ice). We asked about the location and drive to the cabin before we booked and was told, “it’s not a bad drive at all and is paved until the driveway.” That is definitely not the case, while the Shagbark community/gate itself is only 15 minutes from the parkway. The drive to and from the cabin is another 15minutes from the gate. It’s straight up a mountain, with many winding roads, no guardrails , and only half of the drive is paved and the rest is gravel road. We also ran into a situation where the Walden Creek Rd. (Main road to the Shagbark Community) was closed due to water over the road. Which in the mountains I completely understand running into those issues. But when we called the Summit Cabin Rental number , we were told, “to just go another way any hopefully our GPS would reroute us”. Not necessarily the thing you want to hear when you have two kids with you under the age of 10, in an unknown area that could be dangerous if you don’t know where you’re going. Another route would’ve been great.Check in/out was great. Would definitely rent again, if it was in a different location.

After much searching for the perfect cabin and Mountain View experience, we selected this cabin based on reviews, location and availability. This cabin is fully equipped with every necessity needed to enjoy a great vacation. From kitchen ware to cleanliness, game room, board games, huge flat-screen tv, jacuzzi, full bar, grilling utensiles and great outdoor seating for the perfect Mountain View's. There were a few downers that need attention and fixed, the dishwasher worked but the top kept coming off ans falling on the floor, dishwasher almost fell out, a bit of a pain when trying to put dishes in and take out. The door handle to the freezer came off but we were able to put it back. The fireplace outside did not work, when contacted the number provided for help we were told we are quite busy not sure we will get to you, unfortunately no one every came to get take a look at the fireplace. We weren't able to experience the fire place especially with the nice cool weather, that was a downer. Over all it was a pleasant stay, directions were clear and process was smooth.

The cabin was appropriately decorated as stated in description. We appreciated the new cabin feel. We enjoyed the hot tub and the master shower. We enjoyed the feeling of seclusion of the location of the cabin. The beds were very comfortable. Lighting in the master bathroom could be better. The only real negative I could comment about would be a manual of some kind explaining the operation of fire pit, video game system, etc. A couple of the remote batteries were dead. Overall we would consider rebooking this cabin.

Overall stay was great. Our kids loved the gaming amenities. Lots of cooking extras ie: air fryer, crockpot, & grilling utensils. Hot hot water and good pressure. My only downsides were The driveway is a tight turn around. We were in a truck, which made it better, but a car would definitely be tricky. This is noted in the description. Also, I would’ve liked to had a brighter light on the nightstand in the master suite for reading. Would stay here again.

If you are coming to the mountains in hopes of seeing bears this is the spot for you. We saw a total of 7 bears! The cabin was also amazing and clean! Having the pac and play and high chair was great and one less thing to carry. We also enjoyed the pool table.

Cabin was beautiful. Exactly as described. We had an issue one night with the power going out, was a little difficult to try and track down someone to help us out, but aside from that, we really enjoyed our stay.

Pros: Very, very clean and well kept place. Easy to get to in a gated community but road near cabin is rough right now with construction of other cabins (not near this one) on same road. About 5min drive to Dollar General, gas station, general store, and pizza. TV’s inside and out with nice sunrise view from upper deck. Fiber internet a huge plus when working remotely. Master walk-in shower with rain head another plus. Cons: The front steps onto deck need an overhaul as they are too narrow and angled!! Wife took a spill one day!! There also needs to be a handrail due to the “short” steps. This location would not be considered handicap friendly. On a 88° day with 78% humidity, felt a little warm inside with thermostat on 71° but not uncomfortable enough to be miserable.
