Surrounded by nature and rich Smoky Mountain history, this charming riverside cabin is over 100 years old and full of rustic character while still offering the modern updates guests appreciate today. Thoughtfully updated over the years, including a newly remodeled bathroom completed in 2025, the cabin comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests and provides a cozy, relaxed atmosphere perfect for families, friends, and pet lovers alike.

What truly makes this property special is the incredible outdoor space. Situated on 5 beautiful acres along the Little Pigeon River, guests have plenty of room to spread out, relax, and enjoy the peaceful mountain setting. The famous Flint Rock swimming hole is located right in the backyard, making it easy to spend your days swimming, tubing, fishing, skipping rocks, or simply soaking in the sounds of the river. The historic covered bridge sits just a few hundred feet away, adding even more charm and creating the perfect spot for scenic walks and memorable photos.

The expansive outdoor areas are ideal for pets, kids, and groups who want room to roam and enjoy nature. Whether you’re gathering around outside in the evenings, enjoying morning coffee by the river, or letting your dogs explore the open property, this cabin offers a true outdoor Smoky Mountain experience that’s hard to find.

For larger gatherings, there are six additional cabins available to rent on the property, making it perfect for reunions, retreats, weddings, sports teams, and multi-family vacations where everyone can stay together while still having their own private cabin space.

Because of the cabin’s age and historic nature, it is also very fairly priced compared to many newer rentals in the area, offering a budget-friendly way to enjoy a peaceful riverfront getaway without sacrificing location, charm, or outdoor beauty.

If you’re looking for a relaxing cabin with history, character, unbeatable outdoor space, and direct river access, this hidden gem on the Little Pigeon River is the perfect Smoky Mountain escape.

Pet Fee is $60 per pet. Pets must be on a leash when outside. No pets on furniture or beds and pet must be crated when leaving the property.

The cabin was very spacious and with split bedroom plan worked perfectly for our group. Loved the outdoor space for our furry kid and we all enjoyed the river

My husband and I wanted a weekend get together with our two grown children and their significant others. We brought our two dogs as well. This was the perfect place. Close enough to Gatlinburg for a quick trip into town but quiet and fairly secluded. There were a few other cabins nearby but only saw one neighbor. With the river in the backyard, it was a wonderful spot for our son to fish while everyone else waded and played. Unfortunately the weather was not the best the last two days of our stay, but the cabin was spacious enough for all of us to hang out together inside and not be on top of one another. There was plenty of seating around the table for us to sit and play games, plenty of kitchen supplies for us to cook a big supper one of the nights, and a large dog crate for when we went out and needed to leave the dogs at the house. We will definitely be back when possible.

Only thing is the pots and pans need replacing bc they are in terrible condition. Non-stick coating is flaking off.

Great cabin for a short getaway! The layout worked great for two couples with the bedroom each end. The location by the river is amazing! There is a huge swimming hole that would be great in the summer. A couple things to consider are: it is an older cabin and while we loved it, a little tlc in some areas is needed. Also no dishwasher so plan accordingly. We loved it and will definitely be back!

Great place to stay. Far enough from Gatlinburg to nor be crowded close enough to drive no problems. Its quiet and the creek flow is peaceful. Firepit and smores were awesome.
