Grand Lake, Colorado
This cute, cozy cabin is truly a gem. Located only 2 blocks from the center of Downtown, and only 3 blocks from the lake, the location could not be much better! Though you will be very close to downtown shops and restaurants, when you're relaxing inside or outside this home, you will feel miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The home is surrounded by aspen trees in a quieter part of downtown. There is no need to fight traffic or search for parking. From this home you can easily walk anywhere, including to the shores of Grand Lake itself. This cabin is not some dated "rustic" cabin like so many of the lodging options found in the Grand Lake area. Instead, this is an updated and stylish cabin with modern finishes, furniture, appliances and fixtures. The living and dining room combine to offer a nicely sized space for smaller groups to gather after a long day full of adventure. The large wood stove is currently unusable. However, portable heaters are provided to keep winter guests toasty and warm. The kitchen has beautiful granite counters, stainless steel appliances, a white farmhouse sink, and is fully equipped for those mornings or nights when you don't want to eat out. The front porch is a nice place to relax with a coffee, and the front yard is large enough for ladder-ball or other games. Out back, there is a larger deck that accommodates an outdoor dining set and gas BBQ grill. Just off the back deck is a nice fire pit that is surrounded by boulders, seating, and aspen trees. Make sure to bring your marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate! Couples or young families will love this little retreat in the heart of Grand Lake. Come see how much fun Grand Lake can be! Call or inquire with any questions or book online with confidence and we will be in touch to confirm your reservation.
other than woodstove being inoperable, was as described. fyi--at shoulder season be aware that baseboard heaters need to be activated by throwing circuit breaker in electrical panel outside on back deck. cozy and cute; claw foot tub only fits one. very comfortable bed.
My wife and I spent a four day weekend in September for our anniversary. It was wonderful. We loved the interior decorating (country cottage more than mountain cabin perhaps and tastefully done). The location is perfect. We could walk to shops and restaurants in town within minutes but the property still has a remote woodsy feel to it. The photos don't show it but there's a neighboring cabin about 20 feet away (to the right of the front porch with the flags on it). It wasn't a problem for us because it was unoccupied most of the time we were there. People arrived as we were leaving but they were very nice. (Know that in the town of Grand Lake homes are typically located close to each other but you won't be bothered much by it.) Photos show a wood stove but it was inoperable while we were there. We would have used it but didn't choose this property based on that so we didn't mind. There were many more appliances and supplies than expected (ziplock bags, paper plates, napkins, blender, etc.) which was nice. Kudos to the owner/caretaker for their consideration! There's a fire pit in the back yard that we enjoyed using one night and plenty of firewood, although we wished we could have temporarily disabled the motion controlled security flood light that came on whenever we moved about. It wasn't a big deal though. Overall we give this a top score and would likely use it again.
We had a great time, enjoyed the cabin, town, and surrounding area.
Great cabin that had everything we needed, super close to the lake and Main Street, would definitely recommend
Saw our friends recent trip to Grand Lake, Co and knew we had to go!!! Wanted to stay close to town so we could walk and shop! We took three trips into RMNP Andhiked trails there and went back at dawn to see some elk and moose! Super close drive to RMNP! The home itself has every item you could possibly need! Bed was comfortable! Played yatzee on patio! Make sure you wear appropriate shoes as you are on a gravel dirt road. Shower is not for larger adults (my husband is 6’2 205 ) and was ok! If I had to complain I would say there was not a tv in bed room. We just opened the sofa bed in living room and slept in living room! ?I would hands down recommend this property!!! Fantastic!!!! We love the antiques and nostalgia of the old home!! ❤️
My husband and myself stayed there for 4 nights. The cabin is located just 2 blocks from town making it a very easy walk to anything in town. The cabin is very small so know that going in.
Absolutely great cabin. Updated, clean, well appointed. Location was private and quiet yet just a short walk to shops and lake. Will definitely come again!
Ideal accommodations and location. Property very well maintained and owner went above and beyond in communications. First choice if I’m ever in the area again.
My husband, 2 year old, and I live elsewhere in Colorado and wanted a quick weekend getaway for Grand Lake. This was the perfect place for us! The location is great, just a couple of blocks off Main Street. Didn’t need the car the whole weekend. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The fire pit in the back is on a little incline but was great to sit around and there was a lot of firewood to use. The “2nd bedroom” is very small but worked well for us. Just big enough for the twin bed in the room and to fit a pack and play between the twin bed and the wall. The bed was very comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again!
The cabin was so close to Grand Lake we could walk to go shopping and eat at a variety of restaurants. The cabin is clean and well decorated. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces in the beautiful Colorado weather!
