Great little cabin on Otter Tail. Clean and updated place. Paul, the owner, was very nice and helpful on answering questions about the area. It was a bit small for 6 but would be great for 4. The only issues related to the A/C leaking water on the floor and the shower not really warming up. Overall, we had a great time!
I am not out to say this place was terrible at all. It was okay... I think staying early in the season (mid May 2022) had alot to do with the outcome of the review. First I would Like to say Paul the owner was very nice. He did try to accommodate us but it fell a little short of what we thought we were getting and paying for when we booked. I did call after I booked to make sure we were going to have a boat lift and I was told we would. With the late ice out we did not get a lift but Paul did put out a small dock which worked ok but I had to pull my boat out of the lake every night. We also did not have enough hot water. I think there was a 3 gallon water heater. We had 4 adults staying 3 nights and 4 days and no one was able to take a shower the whole time. We also had outdoor Temps in the lower 50s at night and our cabin had no heat. We made it work but another thing that would have been nice to know so we could prepare. All in all it was okay, I do think we overpaid for what we got. The cabin was renovated and very clean. But the other things really lowered the amount of stars I could give on this review. I think I'm being generous if I give 2-3 stars. If the price was lower for the time we stayed I would give 3 stars. If we had hot water I would give 3.5 stars. If we had heat I would give 4 stars. Being at the lake I always give 5 stars!!
The cabin was updated cosmetically. The rooms had to have doors open otherwise there was no air conditioning getting in the room. Water was WELL water and smelled like it. Inside the main lodge was not open and the cabin did not have washer and dryer. But it’s at the lake and the view was amazing!! Plus Paul was very accommodating with anything that was needed!
We loved this cabin and lake , but by far the owners were a super plus for us - Paul was super, friendly and wonderfully Minnesota nice . We can’t wait to come back next year While our cabin was small , it was beautiful and all 5 of us were able to exist with no problems - thanks Paul for a wonderful time . Janet leise
Easy access, easy check in. Great location. Paul was very helpful if We needed help with anything.
Months into COVID, we needed a getaway. This property offers so many things for kids to do - aqua mat, swimming raft, paddle boat, paddleboards, etc. We rented Paul's boat one day which worked out great and had bonfires at night. We had a great stay!
Newly remodeled cabin was the perfect getaway. Nice lake. Kids enjoyed kayaks and tubing and rented jet skis just up the road. The only thing missing in the cabin was an oven mitt ?
This cabin was recently remodeled. We were the first guests to stay in the cabin since the renovation...they did a very nice job remodeling it. They thought of everything when they furnished the cabin. The rental is located within a small resort that has nice upkeep. We added a fishing boat to our reservation, which allowed us to enjoy the lake. The owners of the property were very welcoming and accommodating...a true pleasure to work with. We would return to this resort to utilize the cabin again.
My family and I loved our stay here! The owners and staff were extremely accommodating. The beach is great for kids and lots to do in the area. We would definitely come back again. Our family created some great memories here!
Queen bed barely fits in the bedroom. Floors were filthy. No privacy....other guests sat on the deck and blinds were useless. No kitchen towels or dish cloths. Toilet would move when you sat on it! Water smelled terrible.
