Come enjoy this secluded rustic cabin. Minutes from the Shenandoah Outfitters
Tucked neatly away down a remote enclave and surrounded in towering trees, you’ll find Mountain Hideaway, a magical retreat into nature. Mountain Hideaway is an A-frame wooden house with a glass façade offering a double story view of the Shenandoah landscape. In the spring and early summer, a seasonal creek trickles down the ravine below. Only a short walk away, the Shenandoah Outfitters offers canoeing, river rafting and tubing down the majestic Shenandoah River. Some of the region’s best hikes for the novice and experienced alike, include Kennedy Peak and the hikes along Skyline Drive, only a short drive away. Relax under the stars in the hot tub and wake up with a feeling of floating in the trees. A magnificent sanctuary for everybody.
Please be advised you have rented a mountainous property. The main and secondary roads are usually paved. However, the driveway is a gravel or hard packed dirt surface. You may experience potholes, ruts, steep inclines, and rough terrain. Most front wheel drive vehicles have no trouble accessing their property from these roads as long as you drive safely and slowly. We do not recommend low profile vehicles such as sports cars or motorcycles. During inclement weather such as snow or ice you may be required to have 4-wheel drive or tire chains. We also recommend Travel Insurance during winter months. We do not give refunds for road conditions that are out of our control.

The Cabin was even better then the pictures! We really appreciated the binder left for future guests on all the details of caring for the cabin, and local attractions. We did loose power the first night, and were afraid to stay. The lodge staff (Kim) was very helpful when we called for assistance. This was our first mini vaca for our son's 19th birthday, and everything surpassed our expectations! We have already recommend to a couple of friends.❤️
Property has some age and could use some maintenance. Overall we enjoyed the property, it was a perfect fit for our purposes
Definitely no signal from there at all but the lack of connection and scenery turned out to be surprisingly refreshing we had a great time and would recommend to others:)
Very picturesque cabin! Comfy beds and well stocked kitchen. Nice area too, private. Overall the place was clean but coffee maker and hot tub could use a little more cleaning.
Overall the location and setting were fantastic and the hot tub was a nice touch. My three year old loved the swing! I was disappointed with how musty and damp the cabin was and how dirty the floors were as I have a crawling baby. Also, linens were to be provided but there were no washcloths included so I had to bathe my children with a dish rag.
Enjoyed the stay very much. Property was secluded enough to feel private from neighbors.
I don't like that you have to take the garbage, no internet access, no TV channels, many movies is good, the fone works on that area, the tire swing is not there, my daughters, were sad .
We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. It has great amenities like outdoor firepit and tub as well as a well stocked kitchen. The kids were overjoyed to find a box with toys and even a small toy for the bathtub. The DVD selection was great too. Our biggest disappointment was that the indoor fireplace didn't work properly, with all the smoke coming back inside (we are used to making fires). But overall a very nice place.
Loved the cabin! The stair case was very cool and loved the wood burning fireplace :) We had a wonderful stay and we’ll be back!
A perfect spot for our Shenandoah weekend away.
