Nashville, Indiana
Charming, historical and comfortable - Old Settlers Inn boasts large rooms and large bathrooms. The inn has been renovated to keep the historical charm with modern comfort and amenities. Enjoy private entrances, free parking and being steps from the best local attractions with a variety of shops, dining and entertainment at your fingertips tips! Old Settlers Inn was built in 1855 and has been a staple downtown since. The upgrades are bright and fresh without sacrificing Brown County charm. Since this is now an Inn, we do not serve breakfast, however we have lots of great recommendations for breakfast spots in town!
The stay was amazing. The Inn is located 1 block off of the main drag, so we were able to walk everywhere. The room was quiet and cozy. The room was not perfect, but neither is any hotel we ever stayed at. We will look here first when we go back to Brown County.
Everything was good., the carpet in the toilet room was a turn off. Other than that everything was good.
We enjoyed staying here as it was super close to every shop and restaurant in downtown Nashville. Overall very convenient as well as clean!
My daughter and I stayed here for a weekend. Great location, comfortable and roomy accommodations. Would stay here again.
Great place and a great location just one block from Main Street.
Very nice stay ! The host was very nice and accommodating. The room is beautiful and large .
This was a great property for walking. Its at the north end of the strip, easy to get to everything. We literally parked and only had to drive to one location in the 3 days we were there. Can easily wake up and walk across the street to Heavenly Biscuit, which was amazing. The rooms are a good size. We stayed in room 1 and the bed was comfy. Had a stand up shower and a jacuzzi. We did not have spare towels and washclothes and contacted the owners ans had them within 15 within minutes. They were very accommodating and helped out with restaurant suggestions.
We had a lovely stay at your home! The location was perfect! Thank you for the easy communication with my questions. My suggestions would be to provide soap for bath/ shower and perhaps a couple of bottled waters. Best wishes! Erika Cripe
Exellent location and the facility was very clean my only complaints is this. The bed was horrible, at least for us, neither of us slept well because of it. The toilet acted like it wanted to overflow almost everytime we flushed it. Also I loved that they left coffee and cream in hallway, but if you could leave coffee sticks or spoons to stir in creamer that would be great.
We had the absolute pleasure to stay at the Old Settlers Inn in Nashville, Indiana during Labor Day week. We enjoyed the two large room unit on the first floor. The room was exactly as represented in the VRBO website photographs. Very nice furnishings in both of the rooms. There is a large jacuzzi along with a separate shower. The bed was extremely comfortable. The unit was furnished with a small refrigerator and microwave. Both came in handy during our four-night stay. A large television was available to watch at the end of our days. Parking provided adjacent to the Inn. Entry to the Inn was with a code. Then a key is provided for the individual unit. This review would not be complete without mentioning a most attentive host, Kamady. She provided us with perfect check in and check out instructions. She responded immediately to our emails when we had questions or requests. It was reassuring to us to know that she was readily available to answer our questions. She is a perfect host and VRBO is lucky to have her and this Inn on its rental site. This was our first trip to this lovely town and community of Nashville, IN. The Inn is one block from the main street of the town. There is absolutely no need to drive to explore the town which is filled with over 150 shops and restaurants. It is nestled in the beautiful, wooded hills of Brown County. Nashville was developed over one hundred years ago with the formation of an art colony. A short drive takes you to Brown County State Park. We were a bit early for the fall color change, but we could imagine the beauty that awaits those that visit in October. The history of town coincides with the charm of the Old Settler Inn which I believe was built in the late 1800's. If you are interested in visiting Nashville, then I will without any hesitation recommend a stay at the Inn.
This was a great spot to stay for a long weekend in Nashville. We were here for a wedding and have already discussed staying here again to do a weekend in Nashville.
We had a great long weekend in Brown County! The location was amazing- no need to drive and park to shops and restaurants in town. Our room was cozy, clean and convenient.
We went for our anniversary to get a few days away from home to celebrate! We ended up booking last minute and found this gem. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful to find new shops in town. Was wondering for two! Will definitely need to make it a tradition!
Location was close to all the tourist destinations in Nashville. Bring your own soap, Shampoo and Kleenex, as these items aren’t supplied. Bed wasn’t comfortable, although the furnishings were nice. Jetted tub worked for about 15 minutes; we tried to turn it back on to no avail. While laying in bed after our bath, the jets on the tubs turned on q10-15 minutes for the next hour or so!
Old Settlers Inn is a beautiful mix of old and modern. They’ve done a great job of creating a beautiful updated facility while maintaining the charm of a 165+ year old building. It’s perfectly located within walking distance of everything in Nashville while also offering privacy and an escape from the bustling main strip. We would definitely stay here again!
Property was located within walking distance to many places. Kamady was very nice and friendly. Will definitely stay again
Loved our stay. Beautiful and easily accessible. Great location!
We enjoyed our stay. Room was adorable. Spacious bathroom. Coffee in entry way but I was missing sugar! ?
My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and I wanted it to be special. Kamady was amazing at providing recommendations for food, shopping and other activities. The room was excellently appointed and the decor was perfect for such an old building. Check-in/check-out went seamlessly and the location was perfect as it was close to the main drag but far enough away not to be bothered by foot or car traffic. We're definitely coming back.
We loved everything about our stay. The bed was comfy, the room was perfect, and the location was just one street off of the main road. It was easy to walk to anything we needed. Will definitely stay here again!
