When we arrived the property seemed older than we thought from pictures and the inside is dated. However, the inside is very personalized by the owner and is very unique and was quite comfortable. If you think about visiting a remote cabin in Alaska, this is it. If you want a modern home with newer amenities this is not the place. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would consider it again. I do wish they had a better freezer situation for fish but with 7 of us fishing it still worked out fine. The owner was very helpfull and accomodating.
This is a magnificent house in a gorgeous setting. The property is full of flowers fruit trees berries. The owner has ducks. The home design is very artistic The upstairs living area has a beautiful dining table perfect for a family. The kitchen I was told is going to be updated. It did not have a microwave. Main downside was a slow internet. Overall place is lovely and relaxing Could use better pictures on the website. Rebecca was extremely helpful in guiding activities and recommending visits and was open to showing us her greenhouses.
We were uplifted during our stay. The location, the scenery, the warm welcome were appreciated by our family to be able to relax, enjoy, and refresh our bodies and our minds. Thank you very much Rebecca for a richly rewarding stay.
Rebecca is a great host, lovely accommodations in a log Alaskan home with a great breakfast to start your day with!
Very enjoyable stay! Becky is a terrific hostess, very helpful and easy to get along with. The home has a beautiful great room with a good kitchen and a comfortable outdoor area to sit or barbeque when the sun is out. She made us feel like one of the family.
This was a perfect getaway for fishing a few days on the Kenai peninsula. It is calm and secluded, yet central enough to fish a variety of great salmon waters. Our host was very friendly and knowledgeable as to the geography.
had a great time at the Hungry Moose!! Becky was greats and when the weather kept us from going fishing she helped us find other great things to do!!
This was a great stay, the hostess is great. It was quiet and relaxing. I took a hike around the whole property and the weather was great. Food was yummo! I hope to stay again. Truly breathe-taking views both inside the house and outside!
Becky is a delightful hostess. She has a kind heart and graciously shares her home and beautiful artwork. Annie, the homestead's Corgi, is super sweet.
I have traveled to Alaska 8 times in the last 12 years and I have just booked my 3rd consecutive year staying here and Rebecca is an amazing hostess.
