We so enjoyed our stay in the tree line with views of the ocean. So nice to have windows open day and night! Enjoyed hot tub after days activities, and had endless rounds of ping/pong, pool and darts in the evening. Kitchen fully stocked with everything you would need…hosts were delightful.

This rental has so much to offer. With 4 couples, we had ample space and great views throughout. Less than 20 minutes from the airport and downtown Kona, we were in the perfect spot to enjoy this island. The rental had all beach essentials, so our large group could all snorkel together and still have chairs and umbrellas set up to relax. We could not ask for a more accommodating and gracious host couple. I can’t wait to return.

We are a group of 9-12 mature professional women who have been getting together for a fun, annual retreat for over 30 years. Some play golf, some sightsee, we cook and eat together in a large enough space to create areas for solitude, exercise and reflection with a friend or two. Kyle and Maze were perfect. The house was tidy, clean and our requests for additional towels, help with the spa cover, instruction on the chef's induction stove (not as easy as it sounds), advice about sea turtles, places to eat and tips. The set up here suited to rental of the individual king suites as a hosted bed and breakfast or as a single compound. Breakfast included eggs, fruit, yogurt, bread, delectable kona coffee, expresso and cereals. The main house has a large communal open space for cooking, dining, coffee clatches , cards, and a larger space by the fireplace for group get togethers. In the main house there is a bedroom of two twin beds and a day bed double. It's a little tight space wise but work very well with kiddos. There is a large bathroom in the hall. Kyle and Maze have a suite in the main house, making them readily available to assist you. They are fabulous hosts. Some other guests thought the situation ackward because they do exit to and from the main area and they do occasionally cook in the kitchen. This was not an issue for us at all. On a separate wing of the house are the 4 king en suites all with separate entrance and a sitting area. More below.....

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The property was perfect for our family of 8. We used all 4 suites and the bedroom in the main house. We appreciated that there were some staples available like paper towels, spices, etc., as well as everything needed for coffee. We also appreciated the breakfast items, the basket of treats and the morning coffee all ready to pour. Thank you Kyle & Maza! We used the grille, the flattop, the jacuzzi and the fire pit. In the game room, we enjoyed playing a few games of pool and table tennis, and ended the evening with karaoke. OMG, soo much fun! Thank you Brad!

Kyle and Maza are right there to help with anything you need. Very nice folks. Directions, recommendations, how to run the espresso machine (coffee is super in the great room!) and whatever. Hot tub was great, beautiful view from the deck of Downtown, cruise ships anchored in the water. 75 degrees here, 37 at home, what a treat! The rooms all have their own bathroom, separate bedroom, and living room, tv, internet. Clearly deserves six stars!

We stayed at this location for two weeks in February 2024. The four suites are very nice. The main house is gorgeous, and very on large and spacious nicely decorated. Make sure when you take your family to this location for some downtime, you don’t want to barbecue, because there is an electrical shortage above the barbecue, and there is no lighting, unless you want to wear a headlamp or have a flashlight in your mouth you cannot barbecue. Make sure you don’t want to use the hot tub either because there’s another shortage at the hot tub and when you flip the breaker, it turns right back off again and the hot tub will not stay heated . Make sure you don’t wanna have any parties on the deck because it’s rotting in so many places that the railings are separating from the steps. This was once a majestic property, but the owner has not taken any maintenance seriously. We were very disappointed with the issues that I’ve relayed above. If the owner tells you that there are no hosts living in the house, it’s not true. You are sharing the house with an onsite couple. Awkward.

My fiancé and I booked this house to host ourselves and 8 family members during our stay in Hawaii, which was a special trip as we were getting married. The house and bedrooms were exactly as pictured and advertised, with ample space. We utilized all the amenities, including the hot tub, game room, bar, outdoor patio area, barbecue, griddle, and coffee machine, and cooked most of our meals in the kitchen space. The property is conveniently located just 15 minutes from nearly everything, including the airport. With ocean views from the balcony, kitchen, and living room, we enjoyed a great deal of privacy on this estate, barely seeing any neighbors. There was plenty of room for parking under the carport, accommodating our two large SUVs. Kyle and Maza, the hosts who live in the main house, were extremely accommodating, respecting our privacy while checking in periodically to ensure our group was having the best possible experience. They provided excellent recommendations for hikes, restaurants, beaches, whale watching, and parks. Kyle, being a park ranger, is very knowledgeable about the island. Overall, everyone was blown away by the house. We felt well taken care of and would love to visit again.

Overall we had a wonderful stay, the location & layout worked well for us. We rented the entire home & while the listing on VRBO states hosted bed & breakfast, we thought that applied when not renting the whole home. The home is new to the rental market & at the time of booking there were only a few reviews. We were surprised when reading more reviews closer to arrival that there were hosts living on site and unsure of the set up. Kyle & Maza are a young couple who live in a room off the kitchen & share the kitchen. They were pleasant & welcoming upon our arrival. They did keep to themselves & weren't a bother. Kyle was especially eager to offer suggestions & help. A heads up more in the description of the property would be my suggestion so that it is clear to others renting the whole home. We are in real estate with rental homes & do understand the need to protect your investment & by having hosts onsite you alleviate a lot of potential issues. The whole home could use a deep clean more often or more of a thorough cleaning between guests. It wasn't dirty and unlivable but it wasn't clean, if that makes sense. For the price of the rental & the cleaning fee, we expected really clean, like cleaning crew clean & it wasn't. We also saw some deferred maintenance items that should be addressed soon like rotting wood on the decks & railings. Could be a safety issue with heavier adults or small children. Overall great location and beautiful home with perfect Hawaiian sunsets.
