Perfection in every aspect

We spent two weeks at the end of September in Sestri Levante with with our 4 year old and a baby. The apartment is located right on the beach and has a fantastic unobstructed view of the cove. At the same time, it is right in the heart of the cosy pedestrian streets of Sestri Levante. The apartment was spotlessly clean and has a nice florplan to our family's need. Giovanna was extremely helpful, meeting us at the freeway to show us the way to the apartment (which can be a bit tricky on your own), and also helping us find a free parking spot nearby, as well as providing a bit of basic amenities for us upon arrival. Her english is limited, but it wasn't a problem at all. The beach was perfect for kids, water clear and even in late september still pleasantly warm for swimming. The beach wasn't overly crowded as we were there a bit off season. We would love to come back, as Sestri Levante and the area around has much to offer and the apartment is perfect place to base yourself, whether you wan't to relax on the beach or explore the region. Maybe next time, we'll go without kids, and have more time to enjoy sitting in the beach chairs on the apartments private roof terrace.

The apartment lived up to the photographs and description on the web-site. The location is fabulous - you are literally on the beach, with fabulous views of the sea from the bedroom and sitting room windows. The spacious roof terrace was such a bonus - lots of space, a selection of tables and chairs, shade when you wanted it and always the fabulous view down onto the beach. The sea was shallow and the beach consisted of really nice sand - unlike many of the shingle and stone beaches in the area. The apartment was clean and spacious and the kitchen was one of the best equipped that we have come across. Giovanna picked us up from the train station and provided a really good welcome pack when we arrived which was extremely welcome after a long journey. We did all of our sight seeing by train and ferry, which meant we did not miss having a car at all. The train station is about a ten minute walk away through the pretty narrow shopping streets and the ticket machines have an English option which means it is very straightforward to buy tickets. We were about an hour away from the fabulous Cinque Terre villages which were well worth a visit. The local restaurants and shops are about two minutes walk away but despite this, the apartment was very quiet. It was a pleasant 5-10 minute stroll to the local supermarkets. We had a wonderful ten days holiday and we would thoroughly recommend this apartment for a couple or family.
