'Yosemite's Suite Retreat' Little Bear Cottage, Perfect For 2!

Perfect little cabin for two, super cozy and close to Yosemite.

Beautiful place, i would stay here again.

Sharon’s instructions were accurate. She was available by phone in very prompt manner. She even sent me a requested photo of the cottage’s Coffee maker —coffee matters. She left great instructions and tips inside the cottage. The cottage was clean, bed was good, AC worked fine. Picnic table and barbque under the shelter though we brought her Adirondack type chairs to another spot close by to enjoy our morning coffee and reading with a view of the local mountain. Thank you Sharon. In no uncertain terms, your pricing and availability made our trip to Oakhurst and Yosemite possible.

Beautiful place, clean and got everything we needed! And its close to Sequoia and Yosemite national park. I recommended to couples who want a cozy Beautiful place close to the Nathaniel park.

We reserved this property on May 26, 2025 through VRBO. We got a confirmation, charge was made on my credit card and we received no less than (3) more confirmations leading up to our scheduled reservation. Once we arrived at the property about 1.5 hours after check in, the gate to property wasn't open as was described in the check in reservation info. So I called the property mgr, whom didn't pick up until after 6 attempts. Finally property mgr picked up asking who is this and nobody is checking today...Apparently even after multiple confirmation emails from VRBO, property mgr had the wrong date of check in.She did apologize for the mess up and offered to clean the property, which might take a couple of hours. It was approaching 6pm, we were tired and hungry after long drive. We had already purchased food to prepare at property and now were left scrambling to find a hotel room over a Holiday Weekend. We were lucky we got one of the last rooms at a nearby hotel, as most properties were sold out. This mistake not only caused stress and aggravation for us, but cost us hundreds of dollars more paying for a high price, last minute hotel room and now had to waste most of our groceries purchased for cooking. I have done VRBO countless times and this has NEVER happened to me. I would suggest not booking here because she might loose your reservation.Buyer beware

One thing to check. The motion sensor light keeps going off and on every few minutes all night so light flashes into the room.

Lovely, quaint stay. As advertised - not spectacular but safe and convenient.

Beautiful and cute cabin. I really enjoyed my stay here. Sharon (the host) was quite responsive to my questions. Really nice location about a mile up from the center of Oakhurst and about 35 minutes or so from the Southgate of Yosemite (I take my curvy roads rather slowly). I have no complaints and would recommend this cottage to anyone considering visiting Yosemite. It’s an excellent value compared to the 400 plus per night (I saw some places in the park charging up to several thousand dollars a night!!) you will have to spend if you actually want to stay inside the park.

The cabin was perfect for our stay, the fenced in porch was perfect for our dog. The location was great for quick access to Bass Lake and Yosemite

We had a very relaxing time, quiet beautiful close to everything. We definitely would love to go back!

Incredibly easy to communicate and enter the VRBO. We loved it, was perfect for our Christmas.

Cabin has all you need to enjoy the great outdoors. We came from out of state to hike Yosemite. Was a great location with grocery stores and gas stations close by along with being right down 41….not a bad drive up to Yosemite each day! Highly recommend for travelers who do not need all the extras! Host was very friendly and helpful! Definitely will be staying here again when we come back to hike!

Perfect location for visiting Yosemite and Bass Lake. Quite location, cozy, clean, smooth check in and out and communication with the host. Highly recommended

I was in the area for a couple of days for a gathering in nearby Fish Camp. The Bear cottage was a comfortable , clean, and quiet unit located just off the highway in Oakhurst. It’s located close to restaurants, shopping, and Bass Lake. It’s about 30 min from the South entrance to Yosemite. Sharon, the property host, gave clear instructions for check in/out. She and her husband live on site. I never got to meet them but it was nice knowing that assistance, if needed, was close by. A great stay…would definitely stay again!
