Our spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom ground floor courtyard apartment is in the lovely Bolt Head development which sits above the beautiful South Sands beach, wonderfully in reach of Salcombe town centre whilst being away from the hustle and bustle!

It's a perfect base for anyone wishing to explore South Devon, situated on the SW Coast Path it offers the most amazing walks directly from the property, along the coasttowards Hope Cove and Thurleston in one directon and in the other to Salcombe town centre and inland towards Kingsbridge or over the East Portlemouth Ferry toward East Prawle.

It's also perfect for those who enjoy beach breaks, a short walk down to the most amazing South Sands beach where you can spend the day playing in the sand and sea, watching the comings and goings of the South Sands Ferry (Easter to October school breaks) and taking in the lovely atmosphere of the fantastic Bo's beach cafe, South Sands Hotel or new Harbour Beach Hotel. Walk just up over the hill to North Sands beach (it's a big hill!) and you'll find the famous Winking Prawn Cafe (as recently featured in the film 'The Roses'). For swimmers we're perfectly located for the daily dip, and if you've any watersports enthusiasts it's great to paddleboard or kayak into town*.

For those able to and who enjoy walking you can walk into Salcombe town centre along the coastal road with super views along the way, or you can hop on the South Sands Ferry which takes you from the beach directly to the centre of town.

If you've an early riser amongst you they can take their cup of tea and enjoy the sunrise from the developments communal bench with what we feel is the best view of Salcombe, or end the day there with a glass of wine watching as the beach quiets down.

As the beach quietens down in the evening it's a perfect time to go down to enjoy a pizza on the beach from Bo's, or dinner with a an amazing view at South Sands Hotel or a super cocktail in the luxury atmosphere of the Harbour Beach Club hotel, something to suit everyone's favourite plans.

For anyone with an interest in National Trust properties and gardens we're just a 10 minute stroll up to the fabulous Overbecks property.

We have allocated parking for 1 car and additional visitor parking also available in the development (electric car charging point available on site, restricted to property guests)

ABOUT OUR APARTMENT
The apartment has a spacious open plan kitchen/diner/lounge area with a large comfy sofa, 4K TV, DVD player, Bluetooth Speaker, broadband / Wifi.

It sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms, 1 kingsize bedroom with ensuite (shower) and 1 twin bedroom with ensuite (bath & shower).

It is all tastefully decorated and has many touches to ensure you have a comfortable stay.

The property is ground floor and accessed directly from the courtyard area by a private front door, we have chairs and table for your use in the relaxing courtyard area.

There are no sea views from the property, although we have one of the best views in Salcombe from the developments communal bench situated on the front deck of the development, a fanastic spot to enjoy any time of the day.

Regrettably we can't accept pets or smoking.

Please note that this area of the South Coast is hilly and any walking in the surrounding area includes inclines.

We do consider short stays (minimum 3 nights).

    Very comfortable apartment and well equipped. Next door to National Trust Overbecks garden. Loses one star overall for me because there are walls all around the property so it's a bit dark inside and the only 'view' is from the end of the kitchen window, which looks onto the communal courtyard. Also I found the cooker hob difficult to control and only managed to get one ring working. There are instructions provided but it was a bit hi tech for me.Having said that, the location is lovely and there is a bench outside affording a lovely view over the sea and beaches. My 99 year old mother couldn't manage the walk to south beach, but north beach is a short drive. We were here for a short, late summer / early autumn break and enjoyed it very much.

    We had a wonderful stay last week. We were booked for 4 nights but extended to 5 as we didn't want to leave! The accommodation was great - so spacious with 2 bathrooms, 2 big bedrooms and a fab living, dining and kitchen area. there was plenty of storage in the rooms for clothes, which was great as I like to unpack properly while we're away. The location for us was perfect, a very short walk to south sands beach. If you have mobility issues, this location may not be ideal as there are a lot of steep hills. If you like to walk and keep active, this is perfect. We walked to salcombe most days and there is a little ferry that runs from south sands to salcombe. Bo's beach cafe on the south sands beach is lovely and the pizzas are yum! Highly recommend this place, thanks for a lovely stay

    2 minutes to beach 22 to get back , we are both 80. No views from the property, nor sun at any time. Very good well laid out apartment. Lovely area and good local restaurants. The ferry was extremely useful and led to many options, without having to use the car. A beautiful area with many areas to stroll . Just as well that we were used to London prices.

    The beaches were perfect. Be prepared for steep walks but wonderful views. The apartment is very well presented. Only one critique is there is no view from the apartment. Visitors as a big bit of advice if you plan to drive into Salcombe itself down load the parking app first. It’s essential. The management were great !!

    Bright and comfortable property. Excellent and comprehensive correspondence from our host Nicky. Everything we needed bar a freezer, but we managed. Great showers and a stroll to the local hotel kept us fit. The communal area was lovely and the bench overlooking the South Sands Beach and the tractor ferry was frequented.     The house was very well presented, comfortable and well equipped. The views from outside and proximity to the beach was a major bonus and we had a most enjoyable stay. The only issue was a damp smell in the property, especially from cupboards under the hob. Masking this with air fresheners wasalso

    Property was faultlessly clean and really well presented- nice to have almost a separate area for our teenager with own bathroom etc. Really easy check in and great comms from the owners. We came with our EV and was a godsend to get access to the on site EV charging which was cheap and the only one for miles! Salcombe is a great place- the south beach was great in the good weather we got and the South Sands hotel provided a welcome watering hole on a few occasions. Not the easiest place to drive around admittedly- best to walk if you are able.

    Perfect location for walking the countryside and close to sandy beach. You have many choices to get to the town where there are a number of choices to eat and drink. Condo owners have done much to make your stay enjoyable but the seasoned traveller will discover a few misses
