Tom & April were amazing hosts. They were very communicative both before and during our stay, ensuring that we had everything we needed. A lot of thoughtful touches including fresh eggs, fruit and water/cream. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to stay in the beautiful valley. There’s no doubt in my mind that you’ll love this place.
The property is in a great location and is very peaceful. It also spacious and well equipped. Tom was an outstanding host having a bottle of wine waiting for us and various food items in case we did not have a chance to shop before we arrived. He even sent us home with fresh eggs! We would definitely stay here again!
We had a perfect time here. The owners were very helpful and the place was relaxing and a great stocked kitchen a couple bottles of Pinot - nice shower. Close to many things but just a bit out in the country. I highly recommend and so does my wife.
We had the most amazing stay, everything was beyond perfect! The uniqueness and beauty of this property are even better in person and the hospitality from the hosts went above and beyond anything we could have expected!
This quaint apartment was perfect for taking day trips to the coast, hiking, visiting Portland and having access to great wineries and restaurants. The hosts, Tom and Alice, were so easy to work with and made sure our stay was comfortable. They were also so generous with provisions including local wines and beers, lots of staple items (including farm fresh eggs!) and even a state park pass which we took advantage of. The apartment is well furnished and we had no difficulty making a number of meals here. The covered patio table had a great view and made for a remarkable dinner spot.
Such great hosts! After living in downtown Portland, this is such a relaxing and welcoming getaway so close to Portland but a world away. April and Tom are so sweet and welcoming. Great hosts! The kitchen was stocked with so many extras we did not not even need to bring groceries for the weekend! Such a comfortable stay. Close to lots of wineries and nature. Thanks so much for a wonderful Portland getway. We look forward to coming back again!
Hosts were very helpful, communicative, and nice. The place was very clean. It is in a beautiful location and was very comfortable. Highly recommended for a weekend get away.
It's one thing to find a place that's comfortable and clean, it's quite another to find truly exceptional hospitality. April & Tom super-exceeded all of our expectations -- the beauty and comfort of their place, welcoming us as we arrived late in the evening, stocking the kitchen with fresh fruit and essentials, filling the fridge with beverages, providing a welcome bottle of wine -- and now our visits in other places will always be measured in comparison to their graciousness. A truly wonderful experience in a truly wonderful place provided by truly exceptional people. Needless to say, we'll be back.
My husband and I stayed here for a week to decompress. We were 100% able to do that here. Tom and April are wonderful hosts that provide anything you need to make you comfortable. There are walking paths around the property, which make for a fun little hike, and there are a few vineyards close by if you'd like to stop in for a tasting or two. The wi-fi is definitely spotty, so I wouldn't plan to work from this location and have zoom calls. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! Thank you, Tom and April for your hospitality.
Wonderful, secluded apartment. Very clean and attention to details. Owners are on property and very friendly. Amazing view of Mount St. Helens from kitchen window on clear day. Similar view of Mount Hood at intersection w/main road 3/4 miles away. Fruits, eggs, pastries, wine and beer provided by owner were very nice touch as were the surprise birthday pastries. Location also provides easy hike in woods. Within 20 minute drive of many wineries. Slightly off beaten path but still easily accessible to many tastings. Exactly what we were looking for.
The hosts April and Tom were so accommodating and helpful. The space was unique and stayed cool despite the triple digit temperatures outside. We even had a deer visit us!
