Other Things to Note:
There are four one-bedroom units in the building; you may occasionally hear other guests. Although only a couple blocks from downtown, the street is residential, so please respect our quiet hours. Off-street parking for one vehicle/unit behind the house is available. Beware, the archway over the driveway is narrow. A van or SUV is fine but please go very slowly under the archway; you may need to fold in the mirrors. Additional street parking for a second vehicle or larger trucks/vans is available on the other side of the street. The exterior of the building is monitored by 24-hour surveillance – which we’ve never had to use – but adds an extra level of security. There is a train that runs through downtown Melbourne and can be heard in the late evening and early morning hours. A floor fan is available in the unit if white noise is needed for light sleepers.
Interaction with Guests:
Host is usually not onsite but available anytime to provide tips or recommendations to help you enjoy the best of Melbourne and the Space Coast.
The house is a charming historic house. The interior decor even had an updated look but in keeping with the house. We will be coming back to this location again!
We needed a clean and safe place to stay so we could visit our friends staying at a bed and breakfast on the beach for a few days. It turned out that this cute little apartment in this Spanish style home was a great little refuge for all of us when the weather turned bad and we needed a little more space for the kids and adults to get out of the rain! It's fairly spacious for a 1 bed / 1 bath, had a comfortable living room and tv area, and decorated really nicely. Very clean and well maintained. My son loved looking for lizards and hanging out in the bamboo out back. Our stay was short and sweet (2 nights), but for our time there it was happy and we enjoyed it. Some things to be aware of: - larger vehicles will have to take care with parking. My F-150 barely squeezed into the arch to the backyard parking area, but it did fit and we didn't have any issues. Anything larger will have to park in the front on the street. - Older home means you can hear creaking above you when someone walks in one of the rooms above. Luckily this wasn't a real problem for us, but if you're sensitive, bring ear plugs.
Beth’s property was beautifully decorated and in a perfect location. I wish I could have stayed longer but due to outside circumstances I had to leave early. If her other property is just as nice, then I hope to enjoy the area again. Thanks!
The property was perfect!! So cute and comfortable. Less than 1 mile from the hospital, grocery store and restaurants.
Convenient location to downtown Melbourne with restaurants, shops, etc. Owner responded quickly to questions that I had. Would return again.
The first nit was very clean and comfortable. And while the location is a bit off the beaten path, it is very close to a number of nice restaurants in Melbourne. This was our first visit, and we were pleasantly surprised with great restaurants, a huge art community and great beaches.
Apartment probably fine for short stays but insufficient if renter plans to eat in. Not a good neighborhood.
Exactly was looking for!
Clean, cute, and cozy. Beth was a pleasure to deal with. Thank you!
Lacked any heat and water pressure.
