Volcano, Hawaii is unique to any spot on the Islands. When you crest the 4000’ summit of Kīlauea Volcano you enter my tropical neighborhood. Our piece of paradise is across the street from Volcanoes National Park with the park entrance less than a mile away. When Kīlauea volcano is erupting, (it is currently active as of January 2023) you can see the red glow of the plume from the b&b.

Stayed Feb 14, 2026What a great location very near to Volcanoes National Park. The unit is extremely large and very comfortable. The hosts were very helpful and even though there was a slight mixup with our reservation, they were able to rectify it extremely quickly. My only recommendation would be that they provide a small smart TV that you can stream your devices. There is no need to provide cable anymore since everyone travels with their own devices. A Drying Rack would be very helpful as well.

Stayed Jan 28, 2026The #1 stand-out was the hostess. Did a quick check-in to make sure I had what I needed. (Yes, she had thought have everything so I was all set.) :) #2 was location. Near the volcano but also in a nice quiet neighborhood. Great golf course nearby for those interested.

Stayed May 9, 2025What a great spot! Loved the proximity to the volcano neighborhood. Very spacious, worked out great for my partner and I. The park is very close by with art galleries near as well!

Stayed Feb 9, 2025Annabelle is a wonderful host. This is definitely a piece of paradise. I liked the open living area to hang out in. Large bedroom. Quiet neighborhood. Great location, within a mile of volcano. Golf course is even closer. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Sep 1, 2024We always love staying at the Volcano Golf and Country Club neighborhood. Our stay here was comfortable and quiet. The hostess was kind and gracious. Future guests should be aware that the bathroom does not have a sink. The only sink is in the kitchen. This made things a bit more complicated but we adjusted.

Stayed Dec 6, 2023I especially liked this location because it was cooler than down at sea level. It was also situated on the sunnier side of Volcano. Just note that there is no tv and only one sink. We did not mind this as there is good internet and a ping-pong table to entertain us. The owner is a great hostess and was there when we needed her and not when we didn’t. Thank you Annabelle!
