this is the perfect VRBO. It is in the wonderful old Northeast Neighbourhood of St Pete. Quiet safe and beautiful neighborhood. The apartment is comfortable and spacious and bright. There are windows on three sides! It’s easy to walk to restaurants and there is a beautiful park just 1/2 block awayI almost don’t want to praise it too highly because I wanna come back every time. I’m here in St Pete.I had a few small questions and the owner replied to my messages each time within one hour!

The unit condition did not match the photos, could use a refresh. Pull out sofa sleeper not comfortable, recommend adding a topper. Rear door knob/ lock not secure

Tired interior, oh what some color could do! Easy walk to town and bay. Outside pato area could use some work.

Overall it was clean. Close to beach and restaurants. Minor repair of towel holder in bathroom would be helpful.Otherwise, enjoyed the stay.

This unit is absolutely horrendous. Do not stay here. (I would avoid all other units in this very decrepit looking building as well). It was around 55 degrees when I arrived -- and the unit was absolutely bitter cold. While the manager claimed there was a working heat system, there simply wasn't. The manager, William, stated there was an additional space heater in the closet. The space heater was smaller than a coffee pot -- totally inadequate for a 1 bedroom apartment! I ran it for 2 hours and it did not make a difference. The manager also informed me that there was a hairdryer in the unit, which there wasn't. There were no bath towels or washcloths and the bathroom was filthy. (There were three tiny thread beach towels in the bedroom in a basket, which the manager said were bath towels). The entire place reeks of mold. I messaged the manager after two hours that I wanted to check out as the unit was absolutely inadequate - and he messaged that I could check out. (I did not understand that I needed to check out on the VRBO app, I thought informing him was enough). So, after I clearly messaged that I had checked out, the manager will now not provide me with any refund. Ultimately, I had to find a last minute hotel for 3 nights -- and pay for this horrendous unit as well. The manager is not truthful. Don't believe any response he may make to this review. I have stayed in many VRBO's and this unit, as well as the managers blatant lies, are shocking.

Good location, walkable to Pier & downtown, on-street parking was not an issue. As-advertised.

First, the positives. As other reviews have said, the location is excellent. Two blocks from a public beach and park and walking distance to the restaurants and Fine Arts museum on Beach Drive. As well, the apartment was clean upon arrival. Entry was easy via lockbox and communication with the property’s manager was fine. That said, while furnishings were sufficient, the property is tired and sorely in need of some painting, care and repairs. Repairing a broken towel rack, providing a dresser (admittedly missing in lots of rentals), and installing a door on the bedroom closet are indicative of the sort of details that, while not affecting habitability, detracted from the property’s quality. Once details of this sort are addressed, and the condition of the property more accurately reflects the photos, we would be happy to recommend the property.
